In the campaign, Scanlan did say those words when he left, especially the “What’s my mother’s name?” They decided to not do that at the end of Season 3 because it wasn’t determined yet if they would get Season 4 and wanted it to end with a more happy mood. It made sense to save it for this to properly explain why Scanlan wants to keep his distance from the group. 💜

I think part of why Scanlan didnt come back is becajse Sam had throat cancer during the time. He has since recovered but theres a strong possibility casting someone else as Tary and having Scanlan be gone was due tk the recovery.

So I think we’re far enough in to say this. The Whispered one goes by a name you might find familiar to you, Whispered One is actually Vecna the god of the undead! Vox Machina had to change the Gods names due to copyright stuff but the big bad is Vecna. Funny you’re watching this and Stranger Things lol
