Is the incident you were talking about with the skates the death of Adam Johnson? The player he collided with, Matt Petgrave, was arrested and released on bail several times before he was ruled not guilty of manslaughter, a whole TWO YEARS after the accident. Didn't matter that all the players and officials who saw it happen said it was a freak accident, not to mention the thousands of spectators who also saw what went down; they took two years to decide Matt wasn't guilty. It's insane the process took that long when there shouldn't have even been a process to begin with given the circumstances. I can only imagine the extra pain Adam's family went through during those two years because of the drawn-out process, as well as Matt's suffering for a, feeling guilty about the accident and b, having his life restarted and halted multiple times every time he was arrested.
