Whilst yes sweetie should have asked, rarity is the adult here and should be supervising the child in the house and giving her appropriate things to do to prevent the *child* having to find things herself and getting into trouble. Kids are like puppies, if they're too quiet be worried, if they have nothing to do they'll find something for themselves and you may not like it. I felt so bad for sweetie this ep like jfc

I understand the pain of not being able to bond with your little sister the way you want. My little sister and i are 7 years apart in age, and on top of that we live if separate houses. I only see her once every 2 weeks for a weekend. And even with that it's difficult to bond or even play with someone half your age.

Remember that sweetiebell is like 6-8 years old and rarity is like 24-25, so it is kinda tiresome to take care of a sister that could perfectly be a daughter for the age diference

Rarity is an adult but she's not Sweetie Belle's parent. She has her own life, she lives on her own mostly, so she's not used to taking care of anyone but herself and her pet, which is not the same as having to take care of a child, even if it's her sister, it's not easy. Child rearing is a skill, not everyone has it and some people take time to learn it. So, some people need to chill a bit.

Yes, she's still the adult in that house and entrusted with her little sisters health, safety and happiness whilst their parents aren't there, also you're assuming people here aren't parents themselves(I'm personally not *but* was parentified and raised my baby brother mostly myself)

My brother and I have a 4 years difference. I always thought that was the worst. I wasn't old enough for him to really look up to me, yet he was still too young for us to play together as sort-of equals. So yeah, I guess the grass is always greener and all that.
