The Adam we see in the train in an early episode is the real Adam, not a vision from Blake. He's been stalking them this whole time and chose to strike now that Blake was alone

Volume 6 is such a WhiteRose and Bumbleby feast. I'm not a WR shipper myself but even I admit, Ep 11 has so many good moments between them. Episode 10 is so funny and so sweet, all the silly moments we get before things go south, and then the tender bonding moment between Ruby and Qrow. It's just too good. The mecha fight is one of my favorites in the show, and the song that goes with it is right up there with "Caffeine" in terms of creativity and wordplay. If you ever get to react to the Volume OSTs, those are two of the best songs (imo). Oh boy, the first half of the Adam fight. Everyone was losing their minds when this episode came out and we were left on that cliffhanger. This is where a lot of people like to bicker about how Adams character was handled, but personally, when you remember that Blake, Yang, and Adam are all meant to be based around the Disney version of Beauty and The Beast, it makes sense. Adam is supposed to be Gaston + the Rose, Blake is the Beast and Beauty, and Yang is Beauty and Beast (+Goldilocks). Gaston went from a respectable man, to someone crazed with power and led a mob to attack a castle, and then became jealous when he saw that Belle genuinely loved the Beast rather than him, and that the Beast was a genuinely good person. Adam was respected, but that respect and lack of accountability gave him a desire for power even over those he was supposed to fight for. When he lost that respect because he abandoned his brothers after leading them into a battle that wasn't worth it, he still had his promise to Blake ("I'll make it my mission to destroy everything you love") as his main purpose. Seeing that she had fallen in love with Yang, considering the look on her face when Yang showed up that very moment, is why Adam dealt such a heavy blow. When he saw Yang back in action, it surprised him, since he genuinely expected her to be out of the picture or no longer interested in wanting to fight beside Blake because of what happened.

Ep 10: Maria continues to be the best. The reveal that Adam has actually been stalking Blake was well done. Of course, he’d wait until she split off from the rest of her group. “Why did you have to come into my life and ruin everything!” This man is delusional, good grief. The flash of him on the train was the real him. He was wearing his V4-6 outfit. And Qrow had mentioned the door to the back of the train had been left wide open. But the one we saw at Brunswick Farm was just Yang’s PTSD. He was in his old V1-3 outfit, which makes sense because that’s the last time Yang saw him. Ep 11: RIP Bumblebee (the bike). Your final act in this series was hitting a jackass in the face and I’ll always respect that. You sank so that Bumbleby could triumph. o7 The fight with Cordo’s mech is a pretty neat set piece. Definitely the biggest thing these kids have fought so far. I can’t even begin to imagine how complicated it was to animate with all the moving pieces (characters and mech parts). "You're selfish, you're a coward" Those are big insecurities of Blake's, ones that Adam has probably nurtured in her for years. One of Blake's biggest perceived flaws is her tendency to run away, something she talked about back in V2 and was weighing on her in V4-5 after the fall of Beacon. So to have her throw "you're delusional" back at Adam is a small thing, but nonetheless important, because she's done listening to him and she's done running. Has been since the end of V5 when she once again acknowledged this tendency. She promised Yang this time that she wasn't leaving, and she's gonna keep that promise dammit. Adam's scar says SDC, as in Schnee Dust Co. I started as a WR shipper but as the seasons went on I started just seeing them as friends. They're still cute but I just kind of fell off.

If you recall Blake's Semblance, then that's your explanation for when Adam attacked her; she both stayed in place and let her "clone" take the hit, but it still resulted in her coat being removed. edit: lol yes, very much tripping. It says SDC, Schnee Dust Company. The currently controversial company using Faunus labour. It doesn't excuse Adam's behaviour in any sort of way or justifies his action, but anyone would go down this spiteful path if this is what happened to them.

The brand on his face says "SDC"...schnee dust company. Meaning as a child someone from that company branded him. Adam is a terrible person. And he deserves to be defeated. But...part of me does feel bad for the boy he used to be. The kid who was just frightened and alone while a system designed to keep him underfoot traumatized him with a symbol that claimed him as its own. It makes sense he wore the mask. I bet all he could see in the mirror for years was the idea he was someone else's property. But instead of healing from that trauma, he chose to take his spite out on everyone else Like I said, he's a terrible person. But I do feel bad for that boy, scared and alone, who suffered torture and abuse to the point it broke who he once was.

I don’t know if someone’s commented this yet but every rwby character is based on a legend or fictional story so team JNPR is actually very interesting as a team since each member is a gender bent version of their story REN: mulan Nora: Thor, Pira: achilles, and Juan is joan of arc so rens outfit is like a male version of mulans orignal green army clothing but the cricket from mulan could also be an inspiration I never thought of it tell you said it looks like a grasshopper. Also Adam has SDC (schnee dust company) from when they’d abuse the faunis (sorry if I spelled that wrong)

I don't think it's ever confirmed but there is a theory that Adam's blindfold/mask is one of Blake's old ribbons. Also the noise that Blake hears while fighting Adam is the sound of the missile Cordo threw at the airship. their fight is taking place slightly in the the past compared to the others.

The way to tell if one is a hallucination and one was the real deal was with what outfit Adam was wearing. In Yang’s hallucination, Adam was wearing his Volume 1-3 outfit. When he was on the train in V6 ep1, he was wearing his new outfit but with a hood on (to keep himself incognito)

it was actually explained (in a RWBY panel sadly) that Adam was branded during an argument with a fellow mine worker. Basically that coworker branded him. Yeah everyone thought it was an SDC personnel as well but then Miles and Kerry revealed this bit of info during a Q&A

RIP BMBLB the bike. Your sacrifice gave us one of the coolest and funniest attacks for Yang. And an amazing moment for BMBLB the ship. ❤️🐝 The fight with the mech is one of my favorites this volume. Just the way they all work together and I just love how they're using Qrow's crow form more. It really adds something unique to the combat. In regards to the name of episode 6, the lady in the shoe. You are absolutely right about the reference! Caroline Cordovin is based on the little old lady in the shoe! Don't forget what Nora said when they went to the base earlier, "Your base looks like an big dumb boot!". 😆 Can't wait until you get to the next episodes!

I love how when Yang drops Blake off, the music is "All That Matters" on a French horn — warm, soft, and just a bit of a hint that Yang's abandonment issues are still nagging at the back of her mind. Then in the next episode, Yang has her Big Damn Heroes moment to "Armed & Ready", like this confrontation is what that song was building to this whole time.

As a quick explanation as to why episode 11 is called The Old Lady in the Shoe, apparently Cordovin is inspired by the little old lady who lives in a shoe and the big robot is her “shoe”. Also, the song that plays in the background at the start of the fight against the robot is essentially a diss track made through fairytale references, and I find that glorious. My personal favorite line is “This Little Riding Hood’s just way too rad!!”

From the look of it, Adam sliced off the belt holding Blake's coat in place. "SDC", as in the Schnee Dust Company. They branded him. No wonder he hates humanity as much as he does, he has to wear that literal scar for the rest of his life as a gruesome reminder. RIP Bumblebee, you went out like a Yang. The Semblance is the manifestation of one's soul. So it comes to no surprise that Adam's is reflecting of his distancing himself from having to feel responsible, just redirecting harm at others. And of course, Bumbleby fans ate good that day, Some on the FNDM have their doubts about if its what it is, too early to say for sure. But it's cute nonetheless. I had more to say, but the rest of the message got lost when I accidentally refreshed the page. Still, it was a fun watch.

I love the clear difference in Adam vs Blake and Adam vs Yang. He is much better at defending against Blake and counterattacking because he TRAINED her. He knows exactly how she fights. But Yang he struggles with a lot more. It just shows how much of a disadvantage Blake had, and really recontextualizes her fear when they met at Beacon. She likely knew she wouldn’t really be able to beat someone who knows her fighting style, her semblance, AND how to talk to her in a way that scares or demoralizes her. Poor bby 😭 Also Big Metal Shoe is PEAK

I have a good explanation on the difference between Adam and Yang’s semblance: Yang redirects while Adam deflects. Yang absorbs painful experiences and uses them to get stronger, while Adam takes painful experiences and just snaps them back at others without personally changing anything. It’s a perfect encapsulation of what makes them different as people.

Yang and Adam have basically same semblance except Adam hides behind an excuse to hurt others while Yang tanks all the damage for others herself. Adam uses a weapon to release the damage is basically a reference to him saying that "he didnt do that" (it ws the blade) and using it as a revenge but yang just doesnt care, she takes full on responsability, takkes the damage and uses it to beat enemies they normally cant so she risk getting hurt to protect others using that power and goes "i get hit, i get up, i will punch you through a wall" (barbara said that rhyme, btw)
