I kinda sniffed out this show was gonna suck years ago from some of those first interviews. It feels more like the peter pan kids in robot bodies was what they wanted to do and the actual alien was an afterthought.

Weta did some disappointing work on the Xenos. They've never looked this fake & puny. Any dangerous aura steve was beginning to have was destroyed when he got beheaded with a paper cutter by a twelve year old. Bravo Hawley.

I dont care for any of the lost boys. adults acting like kids has run it course and I ended up rooting against most of them. Wendy whining about nibs getting shocked while she was ripping jaws off and her brother just apologizing. What is this writing?

Kirsh began as one of the few interesting characters; why is he allowing all this sabotage? Nah.

Eyeball is interesting for a while but it began to take up too much space imo, everything it did to fuck over tootles should have been the xeno. This little fucker should've been squashed in the hands of at least three different characters if they just closed their hands. The sheep arc was creepy though.

steve flailing around on the floor because a 5 ounce calamari is on his face and not immediately taking his metal-rending clawed hand and just making it paste was also absolute shit. I cant imagine any other alien allowing a human to actually bite them. Steve is definitely a requiem-tier xeno.

I can appreciate that the Lung-born alien had some of wendy's plot armor rub off on it. I've wanted to see an alien in a jungle for years and while I appreciate the attempt it was executed poorly.

Old man Atom being a synth and giving wendy a spanking was almost interesting until it was just wasted.

Nothing is resolved and it has a unearned sense of arrogance thinking they can payoff everything with a potential season 2. it doesn't deserve one but if it does; give it to a new group who actually care to make a story revolving around the actual alien.
