In times of great danger The BARON hivemind must respond in a heavy-handed manner.

Is BARON a Collective even when apart or do the individual cells have to share the same body like OROCHI to return to hivemind status? The Alpha form looks wicked.

SpaghettiBastard

OROCHI is a collective of genius dragon brothers in one form. The BARON are an entire race of dragons bioengineered for centuries-long wartime conflicts in Orion. BARON can separate for a time but they always must return to the hivemind

That explains the Collective aspect of KALASK... I was getting them confused with BONEMEN's BARON hivemind. I keep picturing them as unrestrained Thing-type dragon cells that aren't restricted to bipedal forms. Or if the Alpha form takes damage it can temporarily split into several fighters to give it an advantage.
