I love this episode. It's the first time I ever saw Christina Hendricks and I was completely smitten but Inara is still the most beautiful woman in the verse.

I noticed this episode was directed by Vondie Curtis-Hall. He is also an actor, playing (among many other roles) Ben Urich in the Daredevil series, Captain Prince in Romeo + Juliet, and in Coming to America he was "just a man [Eddie Murphy] met in the bathroom". I was jumping with glee in noticing this 😁

Happy to see Firefly back! This is one of my favorite episodes… I’m disappointed though, that you missed one of my favorite quips while (justifiably) rolling your eyes and Jayne’s misogyny….something about Malcolm’s days of not taking Jayne seriously…. It’s quick, it’s subtle, but it’s one of my favorite lines… Can’t wait for the next one!

Another fun "Six Degrees of Nathan Fillion". The boss of the net was Benito Martinez. He makes guest appearances in "Castle" and "The Rookie". Benito also starred in "The Shield", where Gina Torres guest starred. I remember watching "Firefly" again after seeing "The Shield" and thought that was a neat recognition.

All episodes. I love this entire FF series, BUT the writing, performances and 'brownout spirit' for me just elevates at Mrs Reynolds' "oceans bowling" and always delights going forward. I'm glad you claimed this episode as a new fav. We all loved Saffron as a favorite guest character. And Mal 'thought' Inara let Saffron kissed her. Ya, the writing was elevated by this point!

Glad you enjoyed this episode so much. Your favorite thing (understandably) seemed to be seeing early Christina Hendricks. However, there was a "special" moment seeing you react to the speech by Book as you probably have some appreciation for condemning those who talk at the theatre.
