IFF is a standard military abbreviation for "Identify Friend or Foe" I'm typing this before watching the episode so if it's been answered, I apologise. :D EDIT: Yup, there it is!

Michael Cyr

Aw, and I thought maybe it was from the logic world, where iff means "if and only if."

Knew how much you'd love the Bobbie & Bubbles Show ... it is just such quality.

Different actions follow the IFF response, e.g., fire torpedoes iff the other ship is hostile.

Reverend doctor is usually a reverend who has a PhD. Anna could be a minister with a PhD in theology, for example.

martensJD

The actress who played Anna also played a vampire, and parent of vampires, and wife of a vampire, in "First Kill," a tv show that I weakly recommend.

Unfortunately there's very little extras in the boxed set. If it wasn't one of the best shows ever made, I'd be more pissed about the lack of behind the scenes stuff. There are a handful of episodes commentaries but that's really it. 😤😓

"You're experimenting on children -- f**k you" There's a scene in one of the later books on this exact topic that's one of the most goosebump-inducing moments I've ever read -- and it's Amos having that conversation. Do NOT mess with children with Amos around. Period. Looking forward to more of your reactions!

Yeah, this is one of my favorite space combat scenes, because it really shows how dangerous space is. With almost no gravity, "down" changes based on how the ship maneuvers, and in tight intense orientation changes like in combat, "down" changes approximately every three seconds. Everything needs to be secured so it doesn't fly around the compartment and damage things and people, and Prax didn't do that right. So we have this tense scene of these sharp objects flying around almost at random, and their weight isn't even going to be consistent (if Alex puts the Roci though a really tight, high-G maneuver, a tool that normally weighs half a pound could end up weighing four or five briefly). And how they pulled it off. . . I have no idea what effects technique they used, but if you told me they actually borrowed an MCRN gunship and choreographed the flight plan to get those shots, I'd accept it.
