Thus ends what may be my favorite season/book adaptation. From mid season 2 to mid season 3 covering Caliban's War... just chef's kiss. Now for all of book three jammed into half a season of TV as the SyFy channel deal ends and the future on Amazon was not known. You are absolutely spot on with Amos and how Wes Chatham plays him perfectly. The growth through the season, his friendship with Prax, all culminating in "...I am that guy" then feeding the kids but casually dropping an F bomb. Such a great character.

i have been so freaking excited for both this episode and episode 7. So glad the expanse is back!

Probably one of my favorite episodes, I love all the Prax Amos episodes, the changes and growth you see in both characters is really so good. And Prax calling Amos his best friend as he asks him to take care of his daughter is just a huge moment for Amos, just perfect the way he played that. Episode 7 is essentially the start of book 3, rushed but still good. Still hanging on to hope they give us the last three books.

No, Katoa/Hybrid didn´t die looking at the stars, but looking at the completion of the Work on Venus.

I love how Jacqui start the series with analysing the series a lot... and now embracing the story more. Until now it was also more like "mother shirtballs"... and now the Chrisjen sailor seems to be coming out more. This show is some of the best characters written ever - nothing is ever as simple and fast as most shows/movies... it is slow change that also shows how the person has grown the many years before the store started. Re-watchability of this show is amazing.

If you like Wes Chatham, he and Ty Franck (half of "James S.A. Corey" who wrote the books) they have a very interesting and amusing YT channel/podcast called Ty & That Guy which you may very much enjoy. Initially they cover The Expanse episodes with a lot of insider info then they go on to having a look at films and whatnot 😁 Keep up the good work! 🖤

I don't think Amos is undergoing growth so much as revealing parts of himself we haven't had the opportunity to see. We've seen that he has a protective streak in him, warning a "male escort" in the first season about a client with a knife, looking after Alex. We see now that this side of him really extends to kids, he does not like people abusing children, and there are reasons for that. Amos is someone who is. . . not comfortable with who he is, but more resigned to who he is. But hanging out with Prax, Amos sees that who he is isn't necessarily bad, and becomes a bit more okay with "being that guy."

Love the Roy Kent ice bath comment! 🤣🤣 Speaking of Roy Kent, I wonder who would win a one-on-one "cuss-a-thon" between him and Avasarala. 🤣🤣 That. Would. Be. Epic.
