So glad I don’t have to wait too long for your reaction to this. Reviewers have been split on this so I was curious which side you came down on as to if it’s a good episode or a boring one.

Movie Night

I didn't find this boring, but I guess if you want non-stop action, it could be considered slow. I'm also just a casual Star Wars fan, so I probably don't have the expectations going into this that others do.

I think people were upset that there wasn’t a big action set piece at the end like most episodes have. No monster to kill, no daring escape, no big battle, &c…—but there are more than a few episodes that end rather quietly so I’m not concerned.

Movie Night

Ah, that makes sense, I guess. I just didn't think that was necessary for a season opener, since its primary function is to set up the rest of the season. We got the opening Mando vs. Wild fight, and an asteroid field chase, so I didn't think it lacked excitement. Maybe I was just overcome by Grogu's cuteness. That's entirely possible.

I’m the same way. I’m more keen on season premieres do a good job setting up the season as a whole than being a perfect standalone installment.
