How many cross-country flights is Joe Pesci taking in this movie? Who wanted to be here less, Pesci or David Spade? And how dare they show the grandmother in a body cast at the end, that woman is dead! PLUS: No way this laundry woman is wrapping that head, folks!

Oh MAN. I just finished watching this thing and I don't know that I feel like a movie has actively hated me before. It's like they took and amplified everything that was horrible about the 90's, and removed absolutely everything that was good, interesting, or fun about it.

This was a horrendous movie, the only things in it that could count as “funny” are…. The joke from the ticket attendant at the airport about the university not having one and saying “we can send you to Baltimore” The use of the font from the “You wouldn’t steal a car” commercial in the opening credits And the random use of Star Wars screen wipes for no reason

Sincerest apologies to everyone - I think the boys might already be aware because I've mentioned it elsewhere, but yep this one's mine! I think the most hilarious thing to me is that I submitted upwards of a dozen different (and arguably better) movies where I planed the call in advance but this one I called in at the spur of that particular moment. And the WHM gang are SO MUCH closer than they think about my message. I was staying with my folks that week and I 100% was more hushed than normal because I absolutely did not want my mom and/or dad hearing me request that some movie podcast I like do an episode on 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, lmao. Regardless, this is a special moment for me anyways and tons of love to you guys for enduring the movie for the sake of what could be a very memorable episode.

This movie reeks of the era where they just threw gangsters and bad ironic comedy against the wall because of Pulp Fiction, so we ended up with crap like this and Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead and Suicide Kings and The Big Hit.

Former videographer here. I appreciate Cabin mentioning the Trey Parker & Matt Stone clip as I used to show that to my former company's interns during orientation. They do state that bad screenwriting is a series of "and then"s as Cabin mentioned whereas coherent screenwriting is a series of "therefore"s and "but"s. As in, John McClane wants to reconcile with his wife therefore he must meet her at her office in LA but terrorists take over the building. It's a great building block for any creative to follow and I appreciate Cabin acknowledging that.

I would argue that Ultraviolet at least has a distinct visual style and is so ridiculous that there's some shock value to be gained from at least a single watch. 8 heads in a duffel bag is just a comedy without jokes that land, which arguably the worst kind of movie. It's just dull as dishwater, while Ultraviolet is at least unhinged.

All I remember from that movie is Pesci is at a diner and someone said they asked for their eggs scrambled, so Pesci takes his hand and scrambles them.

As a kid in the 90s I never had a full scope of the Pesci obsession. My older brother was one of the many who emulated all of the Joe Pesci characters that shouldn't be seen as a positive influence. He came home one day with vhs copy of 8 Heads in a Duffle Bag and wish I knew what I know now so I could laugh at his disappointment in what he expected to be a "Scorsesesque Pesci at it again".

The really frustrating thing is that I can conceive of a version of this movie that is actually semi decent. More weirdness like the motel room dream and less unfunny characters that serve nothing of value to the story and you might have something worth at least viewing at a dollar theater in a mall. A director who can also accept the idea of gallows humor would be nice as well.
