Time to suit up and hit the beach because it's another episode of our sexy, sunny, TV recap show, MELR0210!

First up on Beverly Hill, 90210, the Daddy Wars come to an explosive conclusion as Jim Walsh finally dissolves Dylan's trust, much to Jack's excitement, in the episode, "Dead End," which originally hit the air on February 10, 1993. We've also got Gamblin' Brandon starting to fizzle out on his bets, Jackie Taylor-Silver having to put the house up for sale and holding an embarrassing open house, Cindy and the girls taking a self defense workshop, and David smoothing things over with Steve Sanders about all that record label nonsense.

Then up the block in Melrose Place, it's the monumental episode, "No Strings Attached," which first premiered on October 18, 1994. It's monumental only for the debut of Jack Wagner as Dr. Peter Burns, a legendary character in the MP saga. Other than that, this episode also features Amanda firing Elizabeth, Jake meeting his jerk of a father and the guy's family, Alison freaking out over a one night stand with a guy named Mitch, and Jane's business associate/boyfriend, Australian Chris, calling up Sydney and getting nashty on the phone!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The TV episodes covered will run in broadcast order unless otherwise specified.

Thanks so much for continuing to support the WHM Patreon! We know you have a lot of options when it comes to podcast entertainment and we're grateful you chose to spend some time with us. You're way cooler than Dylan McKay!Cover art by Felipe Sobreiro.

Cindy Walsh would 100% be on NextDoor

Ray

I think the show runners mixed up script outlines, Sydney is the one who needs the self-defense classes, not Cindy. Easy mistake.

Matzar

We are in prime 90210 territory. You dudes made my morning commute awesome!

Kuato (and the freedom brigade)

DA-DDY WARS!!!!! And those calls to Sidney weren't even gross, imagine if some weirdo like szyszka called her 😂

WarOfTheBees

Can't wait for these kids get to college. Shit gets off the rails in the best of all ways.

Shylina

I am “young enough” to remember Jack Wagner’s turn as Frisco Jones on General Hospital. GH was the best back in the day, also launching Demi Moore (sassy report Jackie Templeton) and John Stamos (as Blackie Parrish). I was in elementary school and had no business watching (how I was allowed to watch with that Luke and Laura storyline is insane!), but I was hooked.

Bryce Zubriski

Thanks for 5 years of light in the darkest times.

Tim O'

All of the 911 operators in LA have her name and number on a sticky note by their phones.

Real benefits of the $10 level: the gang name-drops local restaurants that they trust

Kyle Godown

How in the absolute hell are they trying to get us to believe Jane and the aussie haven't sleep together yet?!

James

After five great years of MELR0210 there is only one thing to say: Mingo!

Voror

Lol Stephen called him Jack McCoy at one point and I got really confused thinking of a crossover between 90210 and Law & Order

G Goldhar

It's always great when one of Eric's swing for the fences puns absolutely crushes Andrew lmao

Jason

After being victorious in Daddy Wars, I'd imagine, after much bragging and wheedling, Jimmy Dubs got a disinterested if polite handy from Mrs. Walsh.

Busiris

I hope Eric doesn't feel TOO much like a grampy because that Mitch guy clearly needed to get his eyes checked. The closest thing I have in regard to a stranger thinking I'm older than I am is the couple of times someone thought my partner, who is much shorter than I am, was my teenage child. :X

Citrusy beer? Steve playing with fire. Throwing citric acid on top of hops and barley is a bold gamble, sir. Sometimes you get a light lemony tinge, sometimes you vomit like Brundlefly.

Aaron

Mitch has a great bit. Absolutely ruining younger men's days by asking them if they remember that keeper from 83

Matthew Kennedy

Steve performing as 90210 Mom Cindy with "Let him go" over and over deserves some sort of an award. My soul is bright and joyful.

Christopher Oxentine

I was actually eating carrots when you started talking about carrot insertion.

jribs

If Melro90210 ever stops before covering the entire series of both shows, I’ll light myself on fire.

Troy Thompson

The first single off my next record will be called Freshly Fucked Strut

Ray

I know it's just a TV show and they have to drum up drama somehow, but why in the hell did Jackie not get alimony from Mel? He cheated on her lol open shut case

D Arthur

I spent a summer with my grandma as a kid during the baby Michael era & crushed on Sonny & Jason hard. Helena Cassadine would annihilate any Melro villain
