Summer might be over, but things are still heating up on the September edition of our sexy, sunny, Los Angeles-set, 1990s flashback TV recap show, MELR0210!

First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, it's the ridiculous episode, "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window," which aired April 28th, 1993. This episode features Steve, Brandon and Dylan getting wrapped up with a cute con artist who's busy swindling a Burt Reynolds fan club that's in town from Arizona! We also learn that Andrea has never been on a rollercoaster, Steve flirts with disaster by ditching detention, and Donna shows us what all she learned in that self-defense class from a few episodes back!

Then, across town on Melrose Place, we're talking about the outrageous Thanksgiving episode, "The Days of Wine and Vodka"! Originally airing on November 21, 1994, this episode sees the gang making various Thanksgiving plans, including Billy and Susan foolishly inviting a drunken Alison over for dinner! Elsewhere, Jake is shaken down by some Mickey Mouse Mafia while Sydney tries to intervene, Matt and Jeffrey deal with Matt's conservative family, and Kimberly plots with Jo to fake the death of Jo's baby at the beach house!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The TV episodes covered will run in broadcast order unless otherwise specified.

Thanks so much for continuing to support the WHM Patreon! We know you have a lot of options when it comes to podcast entertainment and we're grateful you chose to spend some time with us. You're way cooler than Dylan McKay!Cover art by Felipe Sobreiro.

We need more Cabin doing Sam Waterson impersonations

Alison's 'rad dude' boyfriend kinda reminds me of a dollar store version of Dean Cameron.

Burt Reynolds was on Leno and Jsy asked him what he had coming up. But said "We're actually doing a sequel to Drlicerance. We got everyone back and we're all excited for it... we'll, Ned not so much"

Two hours and 20 minutes! We're eating good this season...

As a Wisconsin resident, how dare they mention Oshkosh!?!? 90210 should keep my states name out of its fucking mouth! Also: MINGO!!!!

Re: Senior ditch day, the high school I graduated from had a school sanctioned version but people judged you if you went on that one, and a student organized non-sanctioned one where people judged you if you didn't participate in that one. I was too lame to participate in either

Absolutely stunned by Steve name-dropping Doing Time on Maple Drive. I saw it last year just to see a young Jim Carrey doing a dramatic role as an alcoholic. The movie is fine, not great. There is a character who comes out as gay and the dad, played by James Sikking has to come to terms with it. It's ridiculous stuff.

This episode reminds me of my favorite Green Day song 'Boulevard of Broken Blowies'

My school made a point to say anyone who tries to skip doesn't get to go to graduation.

Kinda of a time capsule episode, 90210 going to Walley World (excuse me, Magic Mountain) right before the DC takeover of the park, the Batman rollercoaster opened the next year followed by more and more DC character themed rides and areas in the park. Always though "ditch day" was one of those things invented for movies and TV shows. We did go to Magic Mountain for "Physics Day" so we were supposed to be learning by doing a bunch of lab worksheets based on taking data from observing the rides but it was early enough in the internet that someone was just able to find where the teacher got the worksheets from with all the answers and calculations so we just got to enjoy a day at the park, pay the $2 for a "twicket" and came back again a few weeks later for Spring Break.

I’ve had to watch Home for the Holidays every Thanksgiving since meeting my wife and I love it now. I ALSO have seen Mixed Nuts every year since and like it considerably less…

Rod

I also have to buy Home for the Holidays every single year on Amazon because they just yoink it back

So let me get this straight, Chris is trying to steal money from Jane, and he is also trying to have sex with Jane's sister, so he got in with the mob or was in with the mob already and then coerced the mob into helping him have sex with a woman who doesn't want to have sex with him. What's in it for the Mafia? Other than Chris being "my bosses friend". It's like if in Goodfellas, Paulie just had a random Australian pervert hanging around lol.

Ray

His soul patch sends me every time lol

Ray

Also, that dudes soul patch is the key to the lament configuration I'm sure of it.

I was very confused at first because I thought he was talking about Doing Time on Planet Earth, which has absolutely nothing to do with Thanksgiving.

We did have a senior skip day. My Mom ordered me to skip that day. By the way 10 years ago or so I had my mailbag read on air about doing shrooms in the parking lot of Busch Gardens in Florida.
