On the first ever WHM After Dark, we're answering questions straight from our Craven Tier supporters! Throughout the ep, we weigh in on upcoming films for the end of the year, consider possible commentary subjects, give Industrial music recommendations, figure out some horror movie birthday programming, update our thoughts on Alien: Earth, recommend our fave Robert Redford titles & more!

Remember, if you couldn't make the live show, the video will be available on this post for replay, and the audio-only version of the show is now attached to this post as an mp3, available exclusively to Craven Tier supporters!

As always, we thank you all so much for continuing to be the kick-ass Patreon supporters that you are!

Enjoy the show!

On the inaugural WHM After Dark, we're spending a full hour chatting about anything and everything as we answer questions from our Top Tier patrons!

I recently moved out of the city to the Saratoga Springs area with my wife and kid. It's an adjustment but I'm enjoying the mellower vibe out here while ducking/diving myself away from the token MAGA Chud at the grocery store. With Eric and Chris, did y'all feel a similar sense of relief when you moved out of the city too?

Jakabrien

New fan here, been a paid listener since summer 2024. I found you via Hooked on TJ Hooker! (Thank you, Eric.) My question is more of a technical nature: any chance you can embed the show artwork in the downloadable MP3 versions on Patreon? Reason being: I use another phone app to listen to the downloaded MP3s instead of using the Patreon app. (And I subscribe to other patreons that do have embedded artwork, so I know it's definitely possible.) Thank you! Looking forward to the Total Recall show!

Eren Keskin

What is your favorite Robert Redford movie?

I.C. Weiner

Is Mike Flanagan the current master of horror?

Cody Downs

Any horror films that any if you you've never seen that you plan to knock of your watch list? Also, any underrated horror films you wish to recommend?

Beef Oven

Hey gang, you have mentioned attending college together, and I believe Andrew and Chris met in high school. Do you remember what was your first interaction with each other and did you find anyone abrasive. I couldn’t stand one of my closest friends I have today. When initial meeting him he pissed me off so bad I pelted him with a basketball. Granted we were much younger.

Adam Weiner

Not that I don't always love hearing you guys talk about anything, any chance your spouses will be joining you on any future episodes? I think it's been a while since the last one.... :-)

Nicholas Knecht

Can I buy a Cabin edible? I need top tier to float my boat and from what I've heard Chris can deliver with that quality. BTW... you guys gonna do that grilled cheese contest you talked about during the pandie?

Will Griffin

I had an awful grampy experience when I went to see Caught Stealing this weekend (old guy walked in during sex scene, stood in front of screen, called up his friend in the theater, realized he was standing right next to him, sat down, talked the whole time). On that note, any recent or not recent grampy stories for the masses?

Elijah Elliott

Hey gang did Steve get to also pick a we hate movies or love movies episode to do just like Chris picked the judge?

Goovnbooze

How did you guys get your poster art in Scream 6? And will we see more easter eggs in Scream 7?

Michael Johnson

You guys mentioned doing a haunted house attraction in passing a long time ago in an episode...any updates on that? If you really did one, what theme would you use for it?

Chris

If Disney were going to force another Star Wars (movie) trilogy, what would be your wish list for things to happen and not happen?

James C Harris

I'm a tad confused, is Scaredy Cats replacing the Spooktacular? And if it is really Scaredy Cats really scary will you spell it Scaredy Catz?

Vio Darc

Not even a movie question and kind of a short one but the We Hate Movies boys (and iirc szyszka and cabin in particular) have made references to industrial music, sometimes with pretty deep cuts. If you have one, a favorite industrial record to recommend? (I went to a state arts school too and I think it's mandatory)

KRA

Howdy! Since you guys are always reading something (except Eric not reading The Lord of the Rings), any book recommendations?

Rose Esposito

What's your current position on watching trailers? Have you embraced noise-canceling headphones like me, or are you uncool?

Kevin Lynch

What’s the ratio of watching movies for “entertainment” to “work” for you guys?

Efren Villain-zuela

Andrew any chance you can tell the full story of your mom and the oujia board from back in the 70’s?

Kero

Andrew mentioned hearing a lot of scary stories from his mom on the new episode. I'd love to hear some more of those!

Zerox

That's some primo heavy breathing

TayterTot

What are your go-to, tall glass of water snacks?

Jon Corra

Dang. This music is going to get me pregnant

Jon Corra

I was hoping Bayne was coming back.

Chunch Bunkley

Andrew, I'm coming up on the end of an X Files watch. Have you watched Lone Gunmen and Millennium? If so are they worth checking out?

Rene Chapa

Happy Mexican Independence days guys!!!!

Eric Beecher

I second the haunted story time.

Rene Chapa

Was that a Lowery Movie?

ryan coomer

What do you guys think of the new Jason mask design?

Ox Man

JEREMIAH JOHNSON

Nathan Foley

In anticipation of Barbarian (& Weapons) talk, were any of you fans of Whitest Kids You Know, and did you pick up on the "7 Hot Dogs" reference in Weapons?

Daniel

For anyone with that Criterion channel, pretty sure there’s a paranoid 70’s category on there right now. FWIW

Rene Chapa

Hey guys in honor of Mexican Independence Day what are your favorite movies directed by Mexican Directors

Nathan Foley

"Tigers Are Not Afraid" by Issa Lopez is another great recent Mexican film. I caught it on The Last Drive In with Joe Bob Briggs a while back, and the filmmaker went on to showrun the last season of True Detective.

Donnie McQuaid

Andrew, Is that a Knicks Grateful Dead shirt?

Brett Chatfield

Great first episode! Thanks for the extra reveal, looking forward to the spooktacular!

MarkNM

Dang, I help the kids with homework ONE night and I totally space on After Dark.

Zora McBride

Damn, so sad I missed this!! Time to give it a post-listen.

Jake Wardlaw

Great show! Sucks I couldn’t be there, damn time zones

William K. Wolfrum

Drank some water and forgot about this. I want to be at the next one and try to be funny in comments

Spencer Webb

What movie upon second viewing gave you the biggest change of heart? Positive or negative

Autopsy of a Horror Movie

I could be looking too much into this but the intro/outro song for this sounds similar to the song at the end of Scream (they aren’t the same song). I wonder if that was intentional as a nod to the Craven tier.

Dawn Elicia

I’m going to have to set a alarm on my phone I’m in vegas and get off at 5. So I can’t be live.
