Grab your lukewarm tray of convenience store nachos and novelty-sized fountain soda as we sit down on the ratty couch to chat a blue streak about the incredible animated feature, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America!

Is this one of the best TV show-to-film adaptations of all time? How smart was it to put our two heroes into a Wrong Man-style plot? Wouldn't poor, old Tom Anderson just be better off dead? How great is Robert Stack in this? Not to mention Bruce and Demi! Was there any way they weren't putting Slick Willy in this movie in some way? And what's Eric doing in that camper? We're all getting full-body cavity searches on this month's show, that's for sure!

Beavis and Butt-Head Do America stars Mike Judge, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Cloris Leachman, Eric Bogosian, David Letterman, Toby Huss, Richard Linklater, Greg Kinnear, and Robert Stack as the voice of Agent Flemming; directed by Mike Judge.

I hadn't watched this in probably a decade, so got out my old Dee Vee Dee, and had a great time! I forgot how good this film is, and looking forward to hearing the guys talk about it.

RJ Cunningham

Oh fucking hell yes. I missed this on the schedule, righteous way to wake up

Frank Grimes

we had the black box growing up and this was one of the flicks i watched on repeat from PPV. I'm going to check my unit then fire this baby up. For Animation Damnation 2026...how about the sequel? Beavis & Butthead do the universe?

ediblegenius

My grandfather, a WW2 veteran, absolutely loved Beavis and Butthead. He used to love to saying "hehe cool man". In fact he went with my older brother to see this in the movie theater opening week. Thinking about him fighting Nazis only to then, years later, be laughing at B&B getting too horny to function while looking at boobs makes me happy. Here's to you Poppy

RJ Cunningham

Man, weird to think I took hand drawn cartoons for granted when a child. Never woulda predicted every single animated thing ever after 1995 would look the same.

MANTE IV

You guys have no idea how much I’m dying to turn you all loose on a real tv channel.

TJ Gaines

Been waiting for this one for a while now. I cannot remember but either this or Independence Day was the first PG-13 movie I saw on the big screen with my older brother.

Infinite Terror

I saw this movie in theaters with my dad, at the Ashtabula Mall in Ashtabula, Ohio. We were the only two people in the theater, and when the elder Butt-Head lit his fart and it cuts to a wide shot of the mushroom cloud, I thought my dad was going to ascend to heaven out of laughing himself to death. Great movie. Great memory.

KRAS22

Happy to hear a "get nasty on the phone" callback! It's one of my favorite stories from the guys and I use it as a "threat" so often and people never understand lol

Watch_N_Rewatch

Oh I can't wait to listen to this EP lol Beavis & Butthead rule! This is one of those movies I rented and my Dad actually sat down to watch & laughed the whole way through 😂

Matt

Much like the Jim Carrey kid, did anyone else have a "Cornholio" kid at their school?

johnny stocker

I'm a bit older that the gang, so B&B broke onto the scene when I was a High School Senior. So you bet your ass we had a carload there on opening day, and you bet your ass we watched it back to back. And yes, the KOTH and B&B reboots are both really good. I think that Mike Judge is pretty brilliant, and doesn't get really acknowledged as much as he should.

johnny stocker

My buddy's dad who was in his early 40s at the time and is pushing 70 now, did and still does a mean Cornholio.

Dan sulin

Andrew taking about Night Flight brings me back. It was such a fun oddity to turn it on late at night and just see random stuff. Could be a cult movie, could be anime, could be music videos or a documentary. One of my favorite things to come out of Night Flight is this silly shit. Years before Power Rangers hit the air. https://youtu.be/kIRgLWhnDhA?si=7k2_6GYMg_-UFD8N

James

Andrew talking about the bootleg T-shirt of Clinton and Gore as Beavis and Butthead reminded me of a Mad Magazine I owed that did exactly that on one of their covers. It’s on issue 325.

MarkNM

The Night Flight streaming app was fun for the year I had it. Eventually ran its course but worth it while I used it.

MarkNM

This is one where I was enthusiastic enough to make sure I crammed the movie first thing in the morning at work before I started listening, and I'm glad I did. Crammed. Uhuhuh huhuhuhhuhuh.

Phillip

I know I know, it's okay to like a movie but this really tests that thesis and I feel like I'm going crazy here because I don't get this at all and when I hear people that have otherwise perfectly fine opinions on what the definition of comedy is go on to praise Mike Judge's animated stuff I'm at a total loss for what I'm missing because I don't get it. At all. I'm struggling to even think of anything in the movie that even came close to being a joke or being funny. Its just like when Bob and Henry cover King of the Hill on Talking Simpsons, I'm shocked every month after watching an episode, then hearing them talk about it and cite the things that happened as "jokes" and every time I'm left thinking "that was a joke?"

Evan

I can't recommend Smiling Friends highly enough to people, it's cooking from the start of episode 1 and doesn't let up!

Lar

It’s not tv per se but those run of Adult Swim Infomercials (which were mostly just short form video that aired late at night) were amazingly weird and subversive and a lot of comedians and writers that are bigger now worked on them. Highly recommend you check them out. Some of them, the website that came with them are gone now but there are a few YouTube channels that have archived that content too. The most famous is Too Many Cooks but I’m also a big fan of whatever is going on with This House Has People In It too.

Re: Bob's Burgers Movie, we went to the Disney owned El Capitan theater in LA to see it. I've seen plenty of Disney movies there, including fellow pando release Lightyear and they always put on a movie appropriate performance ahead of the movie. Bob's Burgers got none of that which is how I knew how little Disney cared about that film. Although they had a very well done physical recreation of the burger cart from the movie in the lobby

Dave S

I posted on Spotify but im cracking up Spotify always captions you as Andrew Jupiter and I think it is hilarious as f.... and Steve and Eric get random words all the time, Cabin is always Cabin... Another victory over Eric Dishpan. Yep that was one of em lolol love you guys you've gotten me through so much in my life. Happy 15th, Dishpan and friends

Erin MacAllister

Have the rest of the WHM crew seen smiling friends yet?

Lar

My older brother was def one.

Bryan Dougherty

Trevis and Bubbahead. Andrew. I had that same exact shirt I bought on my school trip to DC. As you started telling that story, I knew exactly what you were talking about

Robert

Agreed. Unfortunately, the pilot is probably the best episode but the rest are also really good.

I.C. Weiner

KotH is amazing but I didn't get it as a kid. I have never understood the appeal of B&B

Mike Kling

This and Unsolved Mysteries are the only things I know Robert Stack for

Erica Del Plato

I was always allowed to watch beavis and butthead… however Barney was a huge no no lol

Miguel Sanchez

Watched this senior year at a drive-in from the back of a pick-up truck. Bought the soundtrack at the neighboring mall the next day. Fantastic times

Stewart Moncure

One I went to the theaters to see. Also, did not expect a clearly unplanned timely Epstein Island joke.

Frank Grimes

MTV is just the Ridiculousness Channel now

Local Man Loses Pants, Life (LMLPL)

For those who don't know (due to lack of marketing budget?), there's brand-new B&B episodes being released right now, that are among the best ever. There are now three seasons of "Mike Judge's Beavis and Butthead" on Comedy Central / Paramount+ whatever. It's so goddamn funny. There's three different B&B universes, including "Old" B&B and "Smart" B&B. 😂 Hard to believe that the show is funnier than ever in 2025... Mike Judge is the best.

Frank Grimes

Back in 1995 you probably had a better chance to see Hole at the long gone Satyricon in Portland, OR. One of the best, grimy, seminal music clubs. Cigarettes, whiskey, inevitable cocaine in the bathroom. 5 Stars.

Vincent Guereca

I gave up on Paramount+ like a year ago, but, I still get it Free with ads through my cable provider, so, it sounds like I may or may not have to go back. (I might just to see the newer movie, so I'm not entirely pessimistic about it)

Gino Volpe

Throwing this out here, I'd kill for an Animation Damnation on Smiling Friends. It'll melt Andrew's brain.

Erin Hardy

I saw it at Parmatown Mall, the day after Christmas.

Zach Hughes

The way Beavis sings “Bunholio-oooo-OOOooo” at the end of this has been stamped on my brain since I was 10, still got a laugh out of me at 37

Darcy MacDonald

Predicting the next Simpsons flick will do a full on multiverse that will be heavy on fan service but otherwise empty. And that's the best case scenario.

Brendan Flanagan

My mom took me and my best friend to see this in the theater on my 13th birthday.

Kate

Airplane?

Hobbes Roy

Back in the 80s, 3-wheelers used to blast behind our house, on this trail underneath the high tension powerlines. My mom and dad placed logs out there to slow them down, one kid crashed into it too fast and nearly killed him, ambulances and whatnot…my parents took the logs out…

John Harrison

You should check out Airplane! Sometime soon.

Matthew Lloyd

Episode had me absolutely cackling especially the "want you to go deep and hard, until you feel the back of his teeth"

Matthew Lloyd

I have a simpsons meme on my phone and its basically a fox executive doing the Bane "when your legacy is ashes thats when you have my permission to die" speech to a beaten and bloody Homer.

Matthew Lloyd

I forst saw this movie when i was 16 on a coach trip to alton towers in the UK and I laughed my ass off.

Craig

I’m with you. I love Office Space and Idiocracy but have never been able to get into Judge’s animated stuff.

Richard Buttry

I won $185 at the airport during a flight delay. It’s legit! Well, when you’re a little drunk and frustrated.

Jonnie Sea

Night Flight - DynaMen has lived in my head rent free since like 1990

Paul

9:27. Regarding that kid in fifth grade who went on the PA system to warn kids about Beavis and Butthead—I was expecting Steve to say, “Yeah, he joined the GOP and is currently Speaker of the House.”

Harry Seven

I was listening to this with my brother and he said, "Is this an older episode? They sound so happy."
