Ah that rocking old theme! like sliding into a warm bath.

Saying "seven Christmases ago" makes it sound like not *that much* time has passed, which hey maybe it hasn't, but it feels like more than a decade ago. I remember where I was when listening to this one back when it was a new episode and wowza so many changes in my life and the world in general.

Matthew Lloyd

If it was a 70s Grinch would the Grinch have a much bigger bush?

MarkNM

I'd rather be forced to watch Jim Carrey debase himself in a nightmare fuel suit than have to watch Mike Myers do the same, for what it's worth.

My 6 year old son loves the original Grinch and the newer animated one but doesn't like this Grinch. The other day I told that the man who played The Grinch was at one time was the biggest star in the world. He legitimately didn't believe me. Then his mom told him he plays Dr. Robotnik and he immediately believed he could be the biggest star in the world. Who knows what damage this legacy could have done to his career without the Sonic movies

I.C. Weiner

Idk how different the world really was 7 years ago, but as the history books will say: Somehow the darkness has returned

Matt

Having a real bad day today - but Donald Sutherland singing "you're a mean one Mr Grinch" made it infinitely better

Rose Esposito

Saving this (re)listen for my drive to PA later today...and of course it's snowing now, so hopefully I won't crash and die and depart this world with discussion of the Grinch's red and/or green rocket echoing in my ears. I don't think you get into Heaven if that's the last thing you heard.

Matthew Lazorwitz

You talk about Walken Fetus as the name of a suburban metal band, and I had an absolute flashback.. I worked in a suburban comic shop for years, and the one Goth kid in town who shopped there wanted to start a Goth Metal band called Handblender Abortion, which could have opened for Walken Fetus.

Hang by the neck until dead or lethel whojection

You just described my ideal way to go out

Phillip

My kid is 10 and is the same. We always watch the original animated one and he really likes the recent Illumination one and doesn’t get why all the Grinch stuff at Universal Studios is all based on the live action one. Just glad he doesn’t care much about Jim Carey outside of him being in the Sonic movies.

Jamie

Oh you mean the Walmart commercials where everyone is shocked that you can buy headphones?

Sh'boom Sh'boom

Oh Andrew, “yabba dabba who” was right there! Swing and a miss

adam mason

"When you volley a fireball i will try to hit it" I've used that line so many times.

Dennis Stack

The Grinch and Cindy Lou have to escort someone to the Whoo-vy prison but show them a rocking good time on the way 😅

Tanner

Jesus Christ, Steve, you can't just say all Whos look the same. I can't stand for this whocism.

Tristan Clark

Forget it, Grinch. it's Whoville.

Erin MacAllister

How did wholoween not enter The Who holiday list?!

Darcy MacDonald

Two years or so later and WhoAnon would have had a big role to play in the Christmas steal
