Welcome to another week on planet Earth, everybody! We've got a huge week of programming for you, so let's get right down to it—here's what's happening in the WHMu this week:

First up tomorrow, it's the second half of our Steven Spielberg double feature (after last week's We ❤️ Movies on Minority Report), and we're talking about his mid-aughts reimagining of War of the Worlds, starring Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Justin Chatwin, and a totally bonkers Tim Robbins! It had been a while since we'd all revisited this one and it made for another hilarious breakdown. You can get in on all the Tripod-related action right here, totally commercial-free at the $8 tier & up!

Then on Thursday, we're dropping our second syncable commentary track of 2026, and this time out, you can watch along with us as we screen the total masterpiece that is, Jackass Number Two! That's right, our second Jackassmentary is incoming and it's a real, real fun time. You can watch along with us on here at the $8 tier & up!

Finally on Friday, we're closing out the week with another very special show, the next edition of Once In A Lifetime! This time out, we're chatting about the Sydney Sweeney Lifetime vehicle, the completely abysmal The Wrong Daughter! You can hear us crack wise at all the Lifetime Movie madness on here at the $10 tier & up!

That'll do it for this jam-packed week, y'all! But be sure to tune in to our YouTube channel on Monday at noon eastern as we're streaming the next edition of On-Screen Live where we'll be taking a look at Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, the new Masters of the Universe film, the new Spider-Noir limited series, and more!

We hope our run of shows and commentary can provide ample laughs and entertainment as we all work towards looping back 'round to the precious weekend once again! We thank you all for continuing to be the kick-ass supporters you all are!

Take it easy,

A new commentary and a new OiaL episode - these and the new Prime episode makes this a better week than I was expecting before seeing this schedule. 🤩

I think the Spielberg War Of The Worlds might be worse than the Amazon Prime version.

Kemper

Are you doing the regular theatrical version of Jackass 2 or an unrated cut?

I just got back from vacation, and while I was irritated that I couldn't do much more with international waters Wi-Fi than occasionally check the patreon boards, I've got a nice week of fresh episodes. Which I will probably all have cranked out by 12:00 p.m.

I think making it a Tom Cruise vehicle was a mistake, and it jumps the rails from Tim Robbins until the end of the movie. But I think the first half is strong, which I can't say about either half of the Amazon version. The lead of the movie should have been more of an everyman, not Tom Cruise wearing his Everyday Hooman skin.

Bryce Zubriski

Am I the only one not seeing OSL on the WHM YouTube right now?

Trev Herron

Tom Cruise was a poor choice. It drags major ass in the back half and Dakota Fanning screeching in your ear the whole time is more deafening than the tripods (the design of which are probably the only thing I liked about it, I think the sirens are kind of iconic).

Rose Esposito

*holds envelope to head* Steve will introduce himself as "'NOT MY BLOOD! NOT MY BLOOD!' Stephen Sajdak!" on the WotW ep.

Yeah I agree with everyone here, absolutely amazing first 2/3rds then goes off the rails and has one of the most improbable endings I've ever seen, you can't just kill off a character?!

With this year being the 40th anniversary of the transfromers movie would love a animation damnation on the original movie.
