It's the July edition of our So-Cal-set 1990's primetime soap opera re-cap show, MELR0210!

First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, classes are finally starting at California University on "Radio Daze"! Originally airing on October 6, 1993, this episode features, yes, classes finally starting at school, but we've also got Steve Sanders being a coward trying to break up with Celeste, Andrea getting humiliated in class, serial killer John Sears planting a kiss on Kelly, David and Donna battling for college radio supremacy, and Brenda totally biffing a Jim Walsh work assignment so she can go fat shame a kid at a dance contest!

Then, across town on Melrose Place, we're chatting about the bi-coastal episode, "Breakfast at Tiffany's, Dinner at Eight"! Premiering on February 20, 1995, this episode has Michael taking Amanda to New York to harass a respected oncologist, Jo and Matt getting in too deep with Detective Rawlings, Jake and Jane stupidly growing closer right in front of Sid, and Billy and Alison totally tanking a D&D account!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The episodes covered will run in broadcast order unless otherwise specified.

Thanks so much for continuing to support the WHM Patreon! We know you have a lot of options when it comes to podcast entertainment and we're grateful you chose to spend some time with us. You're way cooler than Dylan McKay!Cover art by Felipe Sobreiro.

Dr. Albert Beck

I actually liked the early morning classes. A lot more to do afterwards.

A make-a-wish to be on a pay walled podcast show is a fun idea

Rose Esposito

I am horrified at how much "mog" and other incel slang is breaking containment and leaking into mainstream culture. NOT YOU TOO, WHM! STAY STRONG!

Jason

Tell John Cena the WHM guys are coming for his record.

The disrespect to Front 242… someone needs to get headhunted!

Andrea was the West Beverly valedictorian and Yale bound. Two months later she’s taking the same writing class with Donna Martin and from what we can tell, failing it. Maybe Donna was in her room helping her out with the assignment. The saddest thing isn’t that Donna is better than her in this class, it’s that her advice is ‘better fuck the TA/TA cause you’re dumber than me now’.

Front 242 was my jam in 1990-1992! Headhunter FTW

LoganTheWise

Jupin shouting out Matt McCarthy made me happy. That'd be a banger crossover episode

Emily Rosen

I missed it, where does the shoutout occur? I've been thinking for a while they need to cross over!

Mark D Myers

Eric is joining the wrestling faction the mog squad on wwe evolve.

LoganTheWise

Well he referenced watching him atleast , regarding the Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's

Busiris

Beyond sad that this is the end of Gayniac Cop. How did he not spin-off into his own TJ Hooker-esque cop drama??

Jack

I hope at some point the gang will address the fact that Howard the station manager is played by Furio from the Sopranos

Charles Grodin's Toupee is Scared Stupid

Imagine the Yakuza fighting on the lawn of Casa del Walsh: "Oh Jim, maybe we should go inside." "But, Cindy, that little guy hasn't done anything yet. Look at him. He's going to do something!"

Billie Jackson

John Candy was definitely mogging people in at least one part of possible stay tuned Armed and Dangerous. And I kind of feel like he's both a mog and pawg. Porno for Pyros? People clamoring for Mija, Pets and Kimberly Austin over Been Caught Stealing, Mountain Song, Stop! or Jane Says would be wild to contemplate. What's next, Lungfish's Abraham Lincoln or Einsturzende Neubauten deep cuts?

Billie Jackson

David playing Lard, Reznor's Supernaut cover and Nitzer Ebb for some reason.

Billie Jackson

Robert Davi might be interested in it, but for all the wrong reasons.

Busiris

And then the show would be blissfully cancelled.

RJ Cunningham

I guess the Celeste actress is Cary Grant’s daughter
