Hey, folks! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start and that the Dawg Days of Summer haven't gotten to anyone too badly. We're spending the week at a nice, newly re-opened summer camp in Jersey where apparently back in the '50s there were some shenanigans involving some counselors and one of the kids' mothers, but these days, it's supposed to be a pretty nice and relaxing place. So while we're resting up for the week at Camp Hackandslash, here's what's dropping in the WHMu:

First up tomorrow, it's the next installment of our Summer Live series and this is our show from this past February at the Hollywood Improv where we were talking a blue streak about the John Woo action film, Broken Arrow! Come for the fun Christian Slater impressions, stick around for the cartoonish John Travolta impressions! You can get in on all the missing-nuke action on here commercial-free at the $8 tier & up!

Then on Thursday, we may have already played our three-night stand at ST:LV earlier this month, but that doesn't mean the Trek Chat stops, no way! On this month's edition of The Nexus, we're talking about the kick-ass TNG two-parter, "Unification," which famously guest-starred Leonard Nimoy and Mark Lenard, reprising their roles as Spock and Sarek, respectively. Total landmark episode, and you can hear us goof around, while also singing its praises, on here at the $8 tier & up!

And then finally on Friday, we're closing the week with the hot, sweaty, August edition of MELR0210! This month we're talking about the Beverly Hills, 90210 episode, "Strangers in the Night," where David's commitment to the graveyard shift at the radio station is "forcing" him to act like a total slob at the apartment he shares with Donna and Kelly. We're also discussing the totally wild Melrose Place episode, "And the Winner Is...," where we finally meet Brooke Armstrong (Kristin Davis), the young upstart D&D intern who will certainly go on to make Billy and Alison's lives a living Hell over the next season or so. Welcome to the party, Brooke, this show is about to put you through the wringer! You can hear us break down all the Primetime TV madness on here at the $10 tier & up!

And that'll do it for this week, gang! We hope you all enjoy the various shows we're putting out this week, and that our jokes, goofs, and gags can provide some much-needed entertainment and distraction until the weekend comes back 'round again!

There's some guy across the lake who's been staring at us from the bushes the past few days, so I think we're gonna take a canoe across the water and see what his deal is. As always, we thank y'all so much for continuing to be the totally killer supporters that you are!

Take it easy,

Andrew, Chris, Eric & SteveWe Hate Movies

Look, as long as you guys aren't having sex and smoking reefer, that guy across the lake will probably leave you alone. (A solid week, I'll look for ANY reason to revisit John Woo's work. 💫)

Craig

I recently revisited Nexus episode 112 from December and just have to mention… you Paul Walkered Donald Gibb, AKA Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds! He died a few months after you congratulated him on still being alive. RIPD. Who will the curse strike next?

Bryce Zubriski

Melr0210 is back. Thank god, a reason to live through the week.

Frank Grimes

I used to watch Broken Arrow and Pump Up the Volume quite a lot back in my middle school and high school days. Never got around to Ferngully however which completes the Christian Slater/Samantha Mathis 90s triangle. I like how much fun John Travolta has steering the USS Ham in Broken Arrow. I love that Kurtwood Smith and Delroy Lindo are hanging out. I love that Bob Gunton gets a Maglite to the throat.

Kuato (and the freedom brigade)

Finally we are getting to David's comedy arc... too bad its going to be like 5 years until we get to dylan and Kelly vs. Drugs 😂
