It's the September edition of our So-Cal TV recap show, MELR0210 and things are shaking up on both sides of the dial!

First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, we're chatting about the gun-tastic episode, "Moving Targets"! Originally airing October 20, 1993, this is the episode where Dylan, rattled by last episode's carjacking, decides to become an eerie gun guy! We've also got Andrea getting frustrated by having to hide her relationship with Dan Rubin from the public, Brandon meeting a new professor who immediately thinks he's a special wunderkind, Brenda and Stuart getting it on at his parents' house while both sets of parents are brunching downstairs, and the glorious return of Jackie and Mel Silver's bickering!

Then, across the freeway to Melrose Place, we're talking about the outrageous episode, "Love and Death 101"! Premiering back on March 13, 1995, this episode has Jake and Jo heading up to Washington after Jake's mother dies, where we also meet his older brother played by extreme sports enthusiast and MTV Beach House host, Dan Cortez! We've also got Michael Mancini orchestrating another ridiculous scheme to get Kimberly out of the house so he can continue seducing/tricking Amanda, along with Alison getting promoted to the president of D&D, where she wastes no time bringing Billy into her new office for some workplace power-move sex!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The episodes covered will run in broadcast order unless otherwise specified.

Thanks so much for continuing to support the WHM Patreon! We know you have a lot of options when it comes to podcast entertainment and we're grateful you chose to spend some time with us. You're way cooler than Dylan McKay!

Talk about the height of parasocial listening: I was fucking a horse while listening to this episode!

Melrose failed us all by having Billy and Allison hook up again without the benefit of slippery shrimp foreplay. F.

Dan Cortese was in an advertising campaign for Burger King called “BK Tee Vee.” Highly recommend checking some of those out on YouTube.

Did anyone else experience any audio issues on this episode? Just trying to determine whether or not it’s on my end.

Thank you so much. I didn’t know that I needed these ads in my life lol.

Can you be more specific, what did you hear and do you have timecodes? We will look into it. - Eric

And in the spirit of the era, is the writer Larry Mullen any relation to U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr?

As far as CW DC shows go, I really liked Black Lightning. It was largely the Cress Williams and James Remar show vs Tobias Whale, the shit talkingest villain in any superhero show. Seeing an older hero who's also a hs principal and acab was generally v refreshing.

Hey, I remember there was a Chuck E Cheese near my job that I would go to for lunch. The pizza was really good, it’s shit now but it was good at least up until the early 2000’s.

21 episodes of recurring villain Bill Duke.
