If you play Fallout, I suggest to start with FO3. FO1&2 are highly appreciated ghems of the past, but you have to go hard on the retro train to enjoy the very outdated and tiresome user interface. Fallout 3 was the first 3D title and offers the best entry point for new players. The reason for that is that it offers the most traditional approach to the world. the later games kind of assume that you know the basics, they dont take as much time to introduce you to the concepts. One drawback is that while world has a lot to offer, the game wont force you to see it. You have to explore on your own, the main quest wont show you everything. Its more of an invitation for exploring. Fallout New Vegas is great as well, but its a bad choice for a first timer because it tells you nothing about the world. Play it after finishing 3 and you'll have a blast because it offers a completely different perspective. Fallout 4 is polarizing because while its a great game, it feels a little less falloutish. I love it but some long time fans hate it. And one more thing: No DLC for fallout has ever been good. They are all complete trash. Stick with the main game.

In case you two ever take show recommendations: I think you'd love Severance :) I feel like you'd be the perfect reactors for it. Stellar cast, camerawork, airtight script, so many themes to think about, theories to explore---you guys are always so knowledgable and appreciative of what you watch, I just bet you'd have an absolute blast with it. Only 9 episodes altogether and especially with a new season on the way, it's a great time to jump into it! I'm determined to put more people on notice with Severance because it's *criminally* under the radar. I swear if it were on Neflix or HBO it would be talked about the way Succession is.

Severance is one the best first seasons of a show I've ever seen. I will watch anything Ben Stiller writes/directs/produces/etc. forever now.

As gamers they could probably cope with 3, For non gamers 4 is much more forgiving and once they know they can then go the 3 - NV route

Soo a quirky, retro comedic, post apocalyptic survival series with, horror, mystery, thriller and conspiracy vibes yeah sounds like a Nolan / Joy creation... loving your reactions.... I don't know how you guys can stagger episodes (great discipline) I had to swallow the series on one sitting.

Remember that the nuclear apocalypse that basically ended the world as we know it and turned the planet into a wasteland DID occur 219 years ago. The bomb that Maximus experienced occured when he was just a kid. He is not a ghoul so he is not 219+ years old. So something else happened at Shady Sands... That was a capital city that came after the nuclear apocalypse - which is why Lucy was upset that 'reclamation day' occurred without them.

When you play the game (and if you listen very closely in the last episode because they briefly mention it...) you will understand just how lucky Lucy and Norman are in Vault 33...

I love all these movie and show choices. Any thoughts on watching "Late Night With The Devil" or "Abigail"? Both those movies are kinda hot right now.
