Finally! I was starting to get worried about having enough time to watch this before Season 5 begins. S4E7 It's interesting, how much the circles of the Venn diagram overlap between Stranger Things and Thunderbolts. Another detail I noticed is that, other than 008 (who was not present during the lineup), 011 is one of very few girls among the children. I wonder why there was such an extreme gender bias? The Upside Down isn't "delayed" or "frozen". What happened is that civilization ended and (most) everyone either fled or died, which is why events didn't continue. More specifically, the Upside-Down Nancy left or was killed in 1983, so she wasn't able to keep writing in her diary. Something REALLY BAD happened on or near that day in November 1983, probably coinciding with the arrival of the Mind Flayer and all of that icky organic goop that spreads everywhere. Perhaps it was a massive meteorite (from another planetary system) that struck the Upside-Down Earth and caused the perpetual winter and the earthquakes. And then we have 001 giving nearly the same speech as Agent Smith. The "humanity is a virus that needs to be cured" speech. What I find odd is how and why Henry's mother made the connection with Dr. Brenner. Was Papa just an ordinary psychologist who specialized in abnormal child psychology, or was he already working with the military to study and train psychics? Was the lab already in Hawkins, at that time? Did Henry's mother already know Dr. Brenner? Did she previously work with him? Did she have a relationship with him? Could Henry be Dr. Brenner's biological child? There was some reason why Henry hated his mother so bad that he wanted to brutally kill her. He spoke about how dishonest his parents were, but he never said why he thought his mother was dishonest. I feel like there is a substantial backstory there. S4E8 What's really soul-crushing is the realization that 001/El/Jane's banishment of Henry/001/Vecna is what caused ALL of the events (and deaths) in this show. El did indeed do the "right thing", but her actions caused all of the future deaths. Put another way, if El had never existed, all that would've happened is that Henry would've kept on killing people (until he was himself killed). But it's doubtful Henry would've ever created a gate to the Upside Down, and therefore he never would've met the Mind Flayer. Speaking of which, the swirling dust in the Russian prison is the physical form of the Mind Flayer. Somehow the Russians captured it (or part of it). I like the slight parallel between El's training and Luke's training in The Empire Strikes Back. In that movie, Yoda explains to Luke that if he doesn't complete his training, he'll put everyone at risk. It turns out that Yoda was almost right. Luke wasn't entirely ready to face Darth Vader and The Emperor. Papa: "You are my family. My child." I wonder if he actually was El's biological father, beyond (somewhat) raising her in the lab. Did El have those (latent) powers when she was born? Did she inherit those powers from her mother, or perhaps her father, or both? S4E9 The music score at the end of this episode reminds me of the 3rd Matrix movie. --- Some of my theories (which are not meant as spoilers, even if I'm right): There's one scene in Season 1 that still bothers me. The scene when Will disappears doesn't add up. The door (in the Rightside Up) wasn't open and the gun he was holding wasn't lying on the ground, so Will obviously didn't flee by simply running away. He had to have transitioned to the Upside Down, especially since the next time we encounter Will, he's hiding in and around the Upside Down version of his own house. But if the demogorgon had appeared, it's likely that Will would've been killed (unless, of course, Vecna was directly controlling the demogorgon). So if we eliminate the demogorgon as the means by which Will ended up in the Upside Down, what exactly happened? Was Vecna himself there? The light in the shed brightened, and that usually happens when either Vecna or El does something powerful. The other related oddity in Season 1 is that the demogorgon spends all of its effort pursuing Will rather than El. Why was that? Why is Will so special? Early in that season, the kids talk about whether or not El was born with her powers or was given those powers. So let's assume that El was, in fact, born with her powers and Papa helped her expand and refine those powers. Who else may have been born with similar powers? Will? In this story, Will plays D&D as a wizard. Was that a bit of foreshadowing? If Will was born with powers, is that what Vecna wanted? Vecna either kills people (children) for their powers, or he wants to control them and use them as a puppet (which is what he tried with El). Is that why Will was being pursued? In any case, if Will has powers, is it possible that Will is the one who's teleporting himself between the two worlds? In that one scene, where he was "abducted", did he actually zap himself into the Upside Down all by himself? Wouldn't that be wild, if Will realizes in Season 5 that he has the power to instantly zap himself into the Upside Down (at will). One other disturbing possibility is that the Will who was rescued from the Upside Down isn't the Will from the Rightside Up. If that's true, then Rightside Up Will may have been killed and eaten by the demogorgon, and as long as Upside Down Will remains in the Rightside Up, then the rift between the two worlds will never completely close.

Im so sad right now. Netflix have taken away the casting from iPhone to tv because they can. I’ve always downloaded episodes to my iphone then casting over to tv and have you guys in my phone and the episodes casting to tv:n and now thats over. So sad about that. I'd love to see you guys watch more shows! Obviously, you wouldn't need to grind as hard as you did with Stranger Things, but I love the format of watching multiple episodes at once! I know you've watched stuff like The Boys, Fallout, and Loki with each episode being its own video, but maybe for some other series like Severance, Falling Skies, or even Doctor Who, it would be awesome to watch multiple episodes at a time! I think you'd both love Severance! It's captivating and quirky, but full of so much mystery that you'll be hooked from the start! Falling Skies is a personal favourite of mine! Imagine The Walking Dead, but with aliens instead! Also, this show actually concluded, which is rare to see nowadays... There's also Doctor Who!! I grew up with this show and I adore it! If you ever did watch it, start with the 2005 revival with Christopher Eccleston. I think I'd melt if you posted a Doctor Who reaction 😂 Wishing you both the best!

The moment i received the notification i clicked so fast 😅 After a few pauses i binged the whole thing. This season is definetly among my favorites, it's an emotional rollercoaster. The epic moment of Eleven lifting Nina and fighting One, the boys reunion with her, Will's internal emotional battle, the conversation with his brother, Hopper's and Joyce's reunion, the adorable relationship between Lucas and Max, Mike finally telling Eleven he loves her, Eleven's reunion with Hopper's, Eddie's epic metal show...I mean, if i keep going i'll never finish. The worst part was obviously losing Eddie; it's like we had a "déjà vu" with Bob. Both were amazing characters, heroes who were taken from us far too soon; And if that wasn't worse, we almost lost Max; the scene were Eleven can't find her it's like she's brain dead 😢 Those scenes were heaaartbreaking 💔 i always cry, it's impossible not to. Regarding Will's theories, over time i've read and thought about a few things 🤔 but i won't say anything, i don't wanna ruin it, i guess we'll see. My anxiety is at level 100% i can't wait to see what awaits us in season 5 tomorrow 😱 Ari & Denise, you guys are absolutely THE best. Thank you so much for binge-watch this awesome series for us. We know it was chaotic and we're sorry but i think it was worth it 😅.... I've had so much fun watching you and hearing your thoughts 💜 I'm ready for the next one! ✌🏻☺️

This is weird.. There are plenty of reactors that have watched & broke down the trailer. When you are a big fan of something, you usually soak up all of the content released, make predictions, and get hyped. Also they reacted to TLOU trailer. But they can do what they want. I will not comment on here as this is obviously not a friendly community.

I'm not convinced there's something 'special' about Will. Time stopped in the Upside Down the day he was abducted, but that was also the day El made contact with the Upside Down. The Demogorgan didn't just take Will, but multiple people, including Barb, to turn into hosts. We see demoslugs still coming out of Barb even after she died. Will managed to last longer than the other victims because he kept hiding, but as soon as the demogorgan found him again, it immediately turned him into a host. I think it's possible any of the victims could have retained that connection if they had been rescued. One just used Will out of convenience, first to help build an army, then to spy on things.

Indeed it was! For whatever reason Netflix didn’t like that video and took it down. Currently fighting to get it back but it’s a legal process so we got to wait for the back and forth to come to a resolution.

Jason told Lucas in episode 2 that "the first Hangover feels like you're being split in half!" 😆 Speaking of being split in half, the show knew they're going to break our hearts this season 💔 so they visually made it happen by cutting Lovers Lake in half, because remember when will drew the "map of Hawkins" Bob figured it out by seeing a Heart shaped lake

It doesn’t find it. The other way i don’t really understand how its working. I just can’t believe how Netflix just take it down. So i just have to wait to see if it comes back. Well done in getting through it before S5, just finished S4. I was seriously gutted when Eddie didn’t make it, as I’m a geek metal head as well and really connected with him. But the scene with him playing Master of Puppets on the roof was just bad ass. As you’ve said a few times the writing for all the characters is just incredible as they really make you care about the good ones and really hate the bad guys. They also give everyone their moments to shine. I really get where you’re coming from regarding Ripley vibes for Nancy, I personally think it’s more Sarah Connor but maybe it’s just because of the shotgun 😂. But watching all of it for the first time I’ve really enjoyed every episode as it’s just looks incredible, all the creatures look amazing and the writing is just top tier I honestly don’t think I can say anything bad about it and it’s been one of my favourite shows. Also the great thing about watching altogether now is I don’t have to wait over 2 years to watch the 5th series.
