Comments

dieselbeast

I haven't seen this film but I know of the real life tragedy/accident through a documentary, It's on a YT channel called "Wonder" if you're ever interested and oh man that thumbnail breaks my heart seeing y'all two like that 😭 idk if I'm ready for this one lol btw apparently I never sleep 🤦lol

The Media Knights

That makes two of us! owl gang here! Definitely gonna check it out on our down time. We also recommend checking this out, might be a good weekend watch!

Josip Buretić

I heard only good things about this movie and I also know it is real life tragedy and that makes this movie even more heartbreaking, I will definitely watch it with you guys

Josip Buretić

I have watched the movie "Alive" from 1993 it is movie about the same story.

Kristin

I have watched this too (Alive)....so tragic and intense.

The survivors always talk wonderfully about how numa was, that is why bayona chose him as the pov and gave vouce to the ones that didnt make it, the 16 survivors they all lived their live the way they wanted and to this day only 2 of them have died at a late age

Luisa🇪🇸

I don't know if you know that some of the real survivors appear in the movie. At the beggining of the movie the old Man that is holding the Door in the airport is the real Nando Parrado Then the one saying the names of the survivors on the Phone it's the real Carlitos Páez playing the roll of his own father. And at the end when the are in the building that the crowd is putting Roberto Canessa some rosaries on his neck the doctor who is behind him it's the real Canessa.

Ada

Why when I’m trying to watch your reactions the movie is just a small blurry box with no audio the whole time?😅

Anna H

Such a great reaction, thank you for doing this one!! By the way, I don't see a time stamp throughout the video. Or do you just include that at the start? If there's a way to keep the runtime visible throughout, that would be amazing

jaeideun

loved your guys commentary on this film! this movie really took my breath away. the sound design when they were stuck in the plane after the avalanche made me feel as though i was trapped under the snow with them.. such a visceral feeling.. i’d love to see you guys react to Mother! & Black Swan and the commentary you guys could provide! both amazing psychological thrillers with amazing filmmaking that i think you guys would enjoy and appreciate.

Due to copyright issues no reaction channel is permitted to show the films to accompany their reactions. Heavy blurring and film audio turned OFF is generally acceptable. On YouTube, only very brief segments are permitted and are frequently rejected by YouTube censors and must be re-edited and re-submitted until it falls below the copyright threshhold. You must supply your own copy of the movie to watch along with the reactions. The blurred window is provided so that you may sync your copy of the movie to watch along. For myself, I subscribe to several streaming services and also have a fair number of Blu-ray titles at home in order to watch along with TheMediaKnights. They may clarify if I've omitted anything.

Guys, cannot thank you enough for putting this up on the channel. I loved it. It was deeply moving and yet inspiring at the same time. Their courage and self-reliance was extraordinary. For once I don't need to rave about the actors and what else they've been in or the director and what else he has done - although when you guys said he'd done The Impossible I knew this would be special. I first heard the story of the Miracle of The Andes when I was about 13, and the story fascinated me my whole life. I know I saw Alive years and years ago, but I can barely remember that film. But I rememberd the books and stuff I'd read very young, about the avalanche and the food they had to eat and the courage of the two men who walked to safety and brought back the rescuers. That was incredible. Amazing choice, and it's always great when film surprises me the way that did, and the The Impossible did. I think this is a better film. I cannot praise it enough. Magnificent. Thank you again my friends, that was a special watch.

Anne

You guys understood it all. Thanks for watching this with so much respect. Cheers from Uruguay :)

The Media Knights

Yup! That's a whoopsies on our end. Normally it runs through the entire video.

The Media Knights

The sound design was absolutely phenomenal! It's a big reason as to why this movie felt so damn immersive!

Josip Buretić

100% right, this movie is just incredible

The Media Knights

So glad you got to watch something new here! And happy to hear you enjoyed it. We've been loving J.A Bayona's films so far. We also thought this was executed much better. Cannot wait to see what else he comes up with in the near future!

The Media Knights

Thank you! It means a lot to us. Sending all the love to Uruguay!

Constanza Ojeda

No veo nada. La pantalla de la pelicula está borrosa solo veo a ustedes mirando

The Media Knights

Blaze118

There really are no words. Truly a heart shaking masterpiece

jaeideun
