It's kind of crazy how the Pokemon YouTube landscape has really only been revitalized from longplay content for a few years, it feels like much longer. I'm not brainrotted by Shorts or Tiktok (yet) but shorter videos with more condensed effort allow for so much more entertaining expression of creativity.

Best Patreon video yet, not just saying that because of 'celebrity' guest, but the discussion around the changes in not only your & his videos but the YouTube/Pokemon landscape in general. Not that I don't enjoy the usual monologues, but the additional depth and added value is great. I assume you also felt this, judging from the amount of runtime left in this video :)

So I googled it to be a nerd (I was curious). Iapapa Berries can be obtained from the Game Corner on Two Island, or the Berry Forest on Three Island, both in the Sevii Islands. Since the GC on Two island is for multiplayer nonsense, the Iapapa probably came from the Berry Forest.

Actually very insightful especially with the different content paths that got both of you to this point. Alpharad's point about his influence on you is interesting because rather than do what the comments would expect him to do (which is to take way more credit), he acknowledged his influence but kept himself as a footnote. It makes sense because earlier in the video he eludes to how he now recognises patterns and mistakes from people just starting their content journeys. He's been around long enough to where just as he can see mistakes he can also see influence so he's the best equipped to understand how far his own influence on other creators goes. I'd like to see this conversation revisited once every few months or once a year. Not like a podcast or anything because it would be diminishing returns VERY quick but as a catch up and a what have we learned kind of way.

Seeing you talk about Drake doubles is so interesting given that at the beginning of Attempt 5, you said you wanted to get better at double battles in this attempt after how the one in the Monke run went. going from that line to bridge rival and capping it off with Drake Doubles would be such a satisfying narrative throughline and it would be an incredible payoff to what could have otherwise been something you said on stream that didn't end up going anywhere

This is like my 10th time watching this video, around an hour in when you guys are talking about finding video game music, it came to mind that Alpharad is the reason I’m a huge fan of the Trails series now, because I checked it out after hearing Alpha use Sophisticated Fight in his older Smash videos
