Great stuff Alan. Any way of doing this NOT in Patreon. I've had some bad dealings with them in the past and their rep is not so hot.

Hi Jon! Is there anything in particular that is worrying you? I must say that I felt betrayed by Patreon, when they decided to update their payment strategy. So I understand if it is related to that. I have to say that it has been very hard to find a valid alternative. I am making a fair amount of money. Starting over with another service would be quite hard, and it would require sooo much more work on my side which is hard to justify at this point. :\

My protest is much about the same. I'm not fond of a drip feed system and prefer to make an up-front contribution without attachments. Once I tried to set it up for just a few larger payments to someone, but the system kept taking payments after I cancelled and flagged me as suspicious when I cut off access to that account.However if you are making money, excellent. knowledge is such a hard product to commercialize, kudos for you.

Ouch, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I had issue as well with the payments. Yes, it's good that I can make some money out of the work I do. But in all honesty, it's massively underpaid for the time, effort and quality I put into it. I'm still playing and testing with different types of content and distribution methods, but it's a shame to realise that I would make ten times the money by working in finance haha! :D
