📝 Exoplanet Catalogue 🪐 (Patreon)

Hi everyone! 👋

The patrons who have been following me for some time are probably familiar with one of my biggest obsessions: exoplanets! 🪐

Every year I find some time to work on an exoplanet-related project. I started back in 2016, with an entire catalogue of all of the 2,000 exoplanets that were confirmed back then.

5 years and over 2,000 extra exoplanets later, I went back and reviewed that list. This is the (much requested!) updated Exoplanet Catalogue, using data directly from the NASA Exoplanet Archive!

While slightly different from the type of content that I usually post, I hope you will appreciate the occasional post about "science communication"! A lot of what I do is driven by passion, and it is very refreshing to work on something you are very passionate about ...even if they are not shaders! 😅

I hope to review this visualisation again in the future, adding many more features. I have also made two pretty handy Unity libraries: one to work with celestial coordinates, and another one to calculate and predict orbits. Let me know if you are interested and perhaps I might dedicate a few posts about them!

In the meantime, please let me know what you think about it and if you have any suggestion! And if, like me, you are passionate about exoplanets, have a look at this Narrated VR Journey I made a last year about (guess!) exoplanets. 🤪
