Crime thriller M.I.A. might be the series where 'Peacock' finally goes all out with sex and nudity — but I still have my doubts. (Patreon)

Development on the new crime series at Peacock is really going well.
M.I.A. follows Etta "Tiger" Jonze, a young woman raised within her family's drug-running enterprise. Her life takes a harrowing turn when her entire family is brutally murdered, propelling her on a relentless quest for vengeance. As Etta navigates the treacherous world of organized crime, she evolves from a vulnerable orphan into South Florida's most powerful criminal queenpin, assembling a new "chosen family" along the way.
The series is said to be vibrant.

The creator of this series is Bill Dubuque, who also created Ozark.
Currently, there’s no official info about sexual scenes in the series. However, considering the creative team—notably Bill Dubuque (Ozark) and Karen Campbell (Dexter)—it’s highly likely the show will feature some good nudity and sex for fans. Since it's a crime series and the protagonist is a woman, there’s a good chance we’ll see scenes like topless women at parties, drug-dealing scenes, or even brothel setups. It's also possible we could see Etta as a bisexual character hooking up with her friends or random women—something that’s pretty common in shows like this.
Netflix did a similar-themed series titled Griselda starring Sofía Vergara, and it had a decent amount of topless and sex scenes. But that's Netflix, which is way better at showing nudity than Peacock. Series like Based on a True Story, Poker Face, Laid, The Day of the Jackal, Hysteria, Long Bright River, and Law & Order: Organized Crime all disappointed us on that front. This series might go the same route—but hopefully, they come to their senses and make it dark, gritty, and full of raw sex. It's probably wishful thinking, but hey, I like to stay optimistic.
As of now, Peacock hasn’t announced an official premiere date for M.I.A. The series is currently in development.
