Unrelated to GOT. Loving rewatching this with yall btw but the full animation of the sukuna vs mahoraga fight is out or coming out not sure which at the moment. But yall should react to this since yall love jjk. Would like to see what yall think. Heard from some of my buddies its wild but theyve only seen a clip. Viserys is such a horrid human, but he is tragic as well. He is the last Targaryen male heir left in this world and through a set of circumstances he is left with almost no allies and family (besides a very young sister totally dependent on him) from a very young age. It's a real case study in how quickly a powerful dynasty can go to complete ruin.

Not gonna lie, I wish you all would've watched Game of Thrones before House of the Dragon. Hearing you guys talking about time skips and your expectations of the Targayrens as if they're the main characters in this world and etc is disappointing. You're placing expectations on the show and making predictions that no one else had during their first watch. Game of Thrones was partially so fascinating because no one knew anything about this world and everyone learned about all of the houses and the history of the world as the series progressed. I recommend trying your hardest to not try to link HotD to GoT. Not only are they hundreds of years apart but one is focused on a single house while the other is focused on the entire world.

One thing I'll say about GoT is that compared to many other films and series, the characters and world is very grey. It's not really divided into good and bad, right and wrong, it's just people making their own decisions in that world. I think this is why perhaps it is challenging your expectations about it, but I think that's a good thing. Although I love HotD, I don't think it is delivering on that very important aspect. So it is a different experience when watching them.

Please people stop posting spoilers. I’m begging you, only speak about the current events in the episode they just watched. Saying how you feel about a character from the perspective of having seen the whole show colors others impressions of them. And mentioning character in regards to later seasons tells them that those characters will around for that long. I’m dreading those surprise episodes that took the viewers by storm because I’m sure the comment section will hype them up beforehand. It ruins the experience. Come on, it’s not that hard.

Ned’s wife, Catelyn Stark, had not seen her sister Lysa Arren in I think they said like 7 or 8 years. She had no way of knowing that she’d gone crazy lol. She’d been weird for a while up to this point but it was exacerbated by her husband’s death.

Gotta remember that while Sansa’s attitude is insufferable, she is also a child, and rather sheltered for the world she lives in. She’s being manipulated by Cersei with the promise of luxury and prestige as queen, and Joffrey is laying on the charm promising a romantic marital ideal. She also has been groomed to be a perfect wife for a rich man, probably spoiled and told how pretty she is her entire life, and therefore deserving of this new fabulous lifestyle. So there is an element of childish hubris there as well.

Late but yeah this episode is why I hate that they made Rhaenys from House of the dragon has only white hair, it neglects the whole significance of «the seed is strong» (and would make the whole velaryon boys more mysterious as well)
