The ending is very bad, BUT (Benjen's words don't apply here), seasons one to six is the greatest run in television history that I have ever seen. Season seven has some great scenes too. No matter the ending, Game of Thrones is still my all-time favorite show! Also, I vote for Jack to sit wherever he'd like. It is more practical for Brig to be closer to hear his thoughts more and let Jack and McKay talk, but not necessary.

There's a difference between being honorable and just being an idiot. I love Ned but he's not very smart. He doesn't belong in king's landing and playing their politics. He's like a naive person from a very small village go to Hollywood or Wall Street

Basically everybody and their mother came to Ned one by one and told him he needed to wake up and realize what the score is in King's Landing, but he just ignored them over and over again, even though they were telling him to his face that he was screwing himself hard. He's lucky to have made it this far, honestly.

I have to recommend "Alt Shift X" on YouTube, his videos about GoT and ASOIAF (the books) are so well done (but not before you are through with the show lol). Regarding the books: the last one came out in 2011 and there are still two books coming eventually. Because of that, the book readers are going insane to the point where we watch several hours of two guys just analyzing all food descriptions in the books.

One thing that I found that they did not into put in the show is Robert’s claim to the throne. I know he conquered it but he actually has a little claim to it as his grandmother is Rhaelle Targaryen. She was the daughter of king Aegon V. So it’s crazy how the Baratheons in the show has Targaryen ancestry. I wish they mentioned it in the show as it would make more sense.

it's so frustrating because Ned had the perfect opportunity to get the advantage with Renly's offer, but Ned cares too much about honor and playing by the book that he couldn't do something like that, which is why he also denied littlefingers offer. Renly and littlefinger both could tell exactly what was going to happen and tried to bail Ned out but in the end it came down to this.. Renly ran away and littlefinger changed sides Also something that was kind of missing from the show is that during all this Ned was making arrangements to have Sansa and Arya go back to winterfell by ship, and a part of why he wanted to give Stannis the throne was because that would mean that he would get a peaceful exit from kings landing back to winterfall as soon as possible, his term as protector of the realm would be very short and Stannis would choose a new hand, letting Ned go peacefully as it would have been thanks to him that he got the throne basically handed to him. So there's a part of selfishness of why he didn't accept either of these offers. Littlefinger also mentions how Robert had had mercy for the council members who had sided with the mad king as long as they did new pledges of fealty when he stepped into power. But Stannis would not do the same, he would immediately replace the whole council with new members, this is why littlefinger did not want Stannis on the throne, he would lose his position immediately, which is why he betrayed Ned after Ned denied his offer

Tywin skinning a Stag as his introudction has to be one of the most excellent, symbolic scenes in the whole show. Some of the best foreshadowing I've seen. Also seeing as you guys were confused why Jorah said Aegon the Conqueror conquered SIX kingdoms instead of seven was because Aegon never actually conquered Dorne.

57:50 Well, the Lannisters ARE my favourite house, so guilty as charged 😂 I always found them the most compelling, at least in the show. It helps that Jaime is my favourite show character. I'm still going through the books, so not sure what my favourite house or character will end up being there.
