I love the Dubs for Ghibli movies and I am not a Dub watcher for most things but these always slap!

I think they should just make an executive decision for the dub if that's what they really want to watch anyway, we want them to enjoy themselves watching it at the end of the day

Ghibli movies do Dub really well, but I do still love Sub for the most part because sometimes things get lost in the translation or the context is messed up.

It seems the Geks want to watch it in dub, so just watch it in dub. Personally I’m not a dub girly, but that’s bc I’m Japanese 😂. Things get lost in translation in dub plus it’s always best to appreciate things in its original language IMO. As someone who is fluent in Japanese I will say that sub most of the time is more accurate than dub.

When it comes to Studio Ghibli movies they always have fantastic dubs, they put a lot of thought into the casting so maybe dub for the first watch through?

Please watch the movie “Secret” starring Jay Chou. It’s timelessly beautiful and has one of my favorite soundtracks ever. It’s a Taiwanese romance/mystery film but anyone here who likes Kdramas I highly recommend it. A real tug on the heartstrings ❤️🥺

TBH, pretty much everyone who votes sub probably hasn't watched many Ghibli films and is just basing it on the norm, which I'd typically do as well.
