We cooked in this outro... maybe.

We used a certain word (DDoS) in the outro to describe an action that we didn't want to say on camera, just trying not to get this taken down.

Sorry for the late upload as well, our schedule was crazy last week, enjoy!

roonil

finally, me refreshing every minute is paying off

alee

i started watching this show because of these reactions and now i fear i'm locked in 😮‍💨 absolutely bingeing my way through season 1, i am so ready for the rest of the eps to drop here. rip my already fragile sleep schedule

1999

I have peak to look forward to when I get home

BRO.

ez clap

Logan

yes sirr

Nash

LETS GOOOOOO

Ante

Their sanity is decreasing with every minute of screentime lmao.

Chrisiyyi

write your predictions down, i beg you, its gonna be super fun, ofc we cant say if you are smart or stupid or you might think something guys

Guadalupe Sierpes

Can't wait to get home to watch this one AND GoT. Also someone said write down your predictions and I think that's a great idea xx

Dio

THIS SHOW NEVER STOPS COOKING BTW 🔥🔥🔥🔥 W REACTION HOPEFULLY WE’LL GET A BINGE

Elle B.

“Goop?..GOOP!” 😂

Nanashi

Such a good show, I'm so hyped

Nanashi

I loved the theorizing at the end, do it every episode! And PLEASE be careful with spoilers in the comment section. These people have no common sense on what they can say

Marlon Douglas

And that's why I'm a patreon, to see discussions like this.

Osvaldo

I forgot this show has the greatest casting of all time.

kyle

best part of watching reactions to this show is listening to the unhinged discussions after episodes

jetiLP On Kwok

Idk but i'm like 'lol they are so clueless' idk why it's so funny to me xD crazy what you can already see, when you are already knowing.

Darth J

Can’t wait for the rest of

Brady

Carter: "If myself right now is existing at the same time as myself yesterday, but I'm experiencing it right now..." Modern day Socrates

naopou

You guys were def COOKING (I think), I'm watching it for the first time with the Geks. I would say Mikkel being Jonas's father would make the most sense to me and also it would avoid any incest? (not sure what the word would be). Also, I don't think time travel is necessarily such a one-time thing... I would predict that people who understand it can do it multiple times so they aren't forced to age from the point in time they go back to. At this point the confusion is so big anything could happen. LOL! P.S. Ulrich is already growing on me.. *sigh*, I guess I'm a fan (:

Brady

Love the music montages they do in each episode

S Moonchild

I think Brig had a great idea, bring a whiteboard or a notebook. I watched this as it was coming out and I got soo confused with people in the show and storylines, I stopped watching it along the way. Then my sister suggested watching it again together and with notes. Best experience ever. Also there is a website of the show Dark.netflix.io, where you can choose on which episode you are to get a spoiler-free guide, such a nice tool. You can see a lot, to not get lost in the show.

TheSauceGuy

Lol, Cannon with the most American question of "Why does he not have a gun out?" I'm pretty sure German police are almost always armed with a pistol (at least if they're on duty), but you typically don't walk into any strange place with gun drawn.

Ophelia

I’m sooooo excited to rewatch this w yall I need to rewatch this so I can fully understand this show tbh LOL

Anton Sakshaug

Canon "must have been a stud" ahh americans and their drywall. Its germany, all the houses are likely hardwood😁

TheSauceGuy

I thought Mikkel could be Jonas' dad as well, but it seemed so outlandish that I pushed it aside lol.

Has

the different theories/predictions that everyone comes up with when watching dark for the first time is always hilarious to watch, great show

jul ☽

This is like my bday and Christmas combined. You dk how much I looked forward to you reacting to Dark. AAAAAAAA

SuperChuckABoo

Ayo, Studio Gek boys cooking. Love how excited you guys are with the theories.

༒ dianna ༒

What the fuck is Carter cooking two minutes into this...... I lost it man

༒ dianna ༒
>>149627553

I burst out laughing, it reminded me of myself after every single one of these episodes when I first watched, I was so existential JJAAJJA

༒ dianna ༒

Carter: “ who randomly woke up one day and just was like…. Im gonna make dark?” SAMEEEEEEEEEEE 👏🏻

The night is Dank and full of Memers

SO GLAD YOU ARE WATCHING IT IN GERMAN! The english dub robs so much of the acting, it alters the dialog to clunky literal translations while the subtitles were curated by the writer/director/creator husband and wife to be more accurate. Also the voices for some characters are sooooooo bad. The most epic german voices are replaced by high pitched nasally voices in the dub lol.

Gaboxxy

It'd be really cool if you guys watched True Detective season 1. A totally different show, but it also explores the theme of time being circular instead of linear. Very interesting (and scary) stuff. "Time is a flat circle".

ssj4rit
>>149650947

True Detective S1 is honestly the best season of television out there with a powerhouse duo

Samuel

I think that is Mikkel grown up in the hotel because "when is Mikkel" was what he said in the first episode to his dad when doing the magic trick if I'm not mistaken🤔🤔

rosa_gris

It’s pretty heartbreaking and ironic seeing young Ulrich and Katharina be dismissive of Mikkel, not knowing he’s the son they’re desperately looking for in the future.

Blake

lol it was probably his trap phone in the bag of drugs

Zipzzty

PEAK SHOW

Natsu1401

Would you guys go into analyzing the show this much after 2 episodes if you were not reacting to it? @gek. I certainly didn’t 😅

JAY

the "this just gives me hope" & "see? give me anything in the 2020s thats actually good" comments in the beginning... like we have not been recommending the top-tier, incredibly well written shows from this decade to you guys in the comments... u just dont listen to us 🥲 that being said haha loving this series so far! verrryyy intriguing. im actually just going to head straight into episode 3 now.

Natsu1401
>>149639636

That reminded me of an actress from my country who said that her past life was living in the same timeline as her’s and she went to see. And later her past life died, but she was lucky to have met before that. Some quality pot at work, I guess 😂, maybe not 💀

Nick K

When the Mikkel's older brother is punching the wall, that's not an american house with hollow drywall, that's a european house with walls that are probably rock solid. If he punched it any harder he'd break his hands. Also just a heads up the creators of this show's next project was a show called 1899 that was also super mind bending but Netflix dropped it after the first season and they haven't put out anything else since. Super sad because after finishing you're just going to want more.

Sora

oh man I need moooore ahahhahaha

Josh

Listen to Gabriel pleaseeee True Detective season 1 is seriously one of the greatest pieces of television in existence. It probably won't win a poll anytime soon, but if the Geks choose another series irrespective of polls like with Chernobyl, pls let that be next Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harelson COOK, like gourmet 3 Michelin stars. I watched it last year and it's 10/10 mindblowing

JAY
>>149666269

im just givin you shit lol i just meant there are good shows that came out in the last few years that have been mentioned in these comment sections. so fear not. good tv still being made. idk if any of them will be winning your polls but i hope so eventually! tbh im glad this show was votedl. its great. im almost finished with ep 4. cant stop watching.

Josh

I love the teamwork from the boys with the theorycrafting haha

Junior

I've said it before and I'll say it again: you guys NEED a white board to keep track of everyone, the family connections and who's who to whom. It WILL get impossible to follow at some point if you don't have a clear guide to that.

Caleb
>>149674125

Yeah fr, boys definitely have something you can update each episode, season 2 and 3 youll need to know whos who

Caleb

Loving their guesses so far

Mia Malvik

Are you absolutely sure you want to know whether you're being stupid or smart lmao. Jk . I love your guesses

DARK EXPERT
>>149666269

A heads up guys. This is coming from someone who has watched the show multiple times and understands almost everything. This show is very intricate and detailed. As you progress it will keep on getting more convoluted and layered. So if you don't want to find yourself totally lost and at wit's end by season 3 or even 2, it is absolutely a MUST that you keep track of all the characters and their relationships, the events and your theories. Please. Note it down. Also try not to have a long break between episodes or you won't remember the important details from previous episode. The show demands your unyielding attention so try to binge it if possible. These are not really requests but a warning of where this show will lead you to eventually. As it did with me and almost everyone else. I love your reactions and your discussions and I don't want you to end up confused and all over the place later on. So PLEASE.

jrnoodles

Thanks! You really have to lock in with this show or else you're missing something.

Mysterious Figure

I hope you guys wont forget The Haunting of Hill House. The unusual creative way it tells its story is something you dont really see in tv and movies. Its a short show that really stands out in the mystery thriller genre. The actors did such a marvelous job. Some of the LONG uninterrupted one take shots they've done in that show really blew my mind with how they were used both narratively and technically. You guys REALLY need to watch that show. Btw I also love Dark. Shows like these are right up my alley.

Kaibur
>>149674125

so true, i did pretty well following s1 with a group watch without noting things, but during s2 just started losing track of everything lmao and lost the plot. wish i had a whiteboard ahah

Zechree

Living for the dark reactions <3

Zechree

Correct me if I’m wrong but Dark’s screen play was written by a couple.

Al Boxley
>>149697478

You typed this question on the same machine in which you could get the answer😭

JAY
>>149666269

@Dark Expert you guys saying this weren’t kidding! I got through episode 6 last night before I had to go to sleep and 🤯😵‍💫. I love it though. like realllyyy love it. I will say that the Netflix dark website people have been posting in here has been CRUCIAL for me, BUT make sure you’re only looking at the pages for episodes that you have FINISHED. I had to like study those family trees after each episode and go through everyone and say the names aloud and for the first 3-4 episodes I’d try to say characters names and who they were related to when they came on screen just to like really set it in my brain. I highly recommend taking the time. once I got the characters all kind of locked in and set in my head it made the next couple episodes so much easier to digest. I’m sure me feeling this locked in and confident/clear about everything is a temporary state of affairs and I’ll have to keep studying as I go lol but man it’s cool. Idk that I’ve ever seen a show that makes my mind work so hard, and I love it 🫠

Neville L
>>149688007

Couldn’t agree more, HoHH is one of my favorite shows of all time. The way it blends horror and family drama into an incredible exploration of grief and trauma is brilliant!

Zechree
>>149697478

I’m right and it wasn’t a question it was a statement goober.

palma
>>149697478

Yes. The showrunner and his wife wrote the series inspired by the place they grew up in where kids also went missing.

Renek

and now let the fun starts from episode 3 to the end of the series it's all peak And it's somewhere close to AOT with the secret's and reavels HAVE FUN

Jacob Goldsmith

this needs like 3 eps a week best show yall reacting to rn with got puttering out

Delane Gill
>>149674125

The official website is also really helpful with it. When I watched it with my housemates we used a whiteboard with the website next to it and it made theorycrafting so much fun

Guadalupe Sierpes
>>149666269

I love that you watched it several time and you understood *almost* everything. That's how difficult this show is to follow lol

Hechy
>>149713236

liveaction part i could agree. but anime part got code peak

Mama Browsss

Please turn up your brightness a couple clicks or something!

ssj4rit

Echoing the other people below that True Detective S1 is peak.

kingkoopa98

you guys are cooking with this show and OP

selmak13

Watching this for the first time, definitely not the best idea to watch at 3am in total darkness but man is it good

A_Daddy Daichi

I’m having Deja vu with seeing you guys theorizing so much because I was on the same boat with each episode 😭

Cedric

Greetings from Germany! always love to see People enjoy this Masterpiece.

notchrisramirez

It is absolutely BANANAS to hear yall's predictions knowing the end of this show... I swear this show was made for you all. Carter is going to go into a cave sometime in the future and get sent back in time and make this show just so you all could react to it eventually. Also, PLEASE PLEASE use the whiteboard to write your predictions/details of the show down for you all to reference back to as the seasons progress.

notchrisramirez

Its so funny to see the distribution of your predictions and how incredibly close you are with some of them and how incredibly wrong you are with some of them.

Sasha

Weird to see McKay see "You're sick" as if he wasn't thinking that also😂

Derek Whittom

This show is meticulously crafted. My advice for maximum enjoyment is to take a note of anything that doesn’t make sense and then think about it. It may be important.

Linn
>>149624809

Agree! I love hearing their theories but I’m scared that people are going to hint at directions or drop subtle spoilers which will take the fun out of it if one (or more) of their theories actually gets confirmed in the show. I’ve only seen the first season and don’t want to be spoiled either.

Logan

more dark pleaseeeee

Euphemia Isobel

As we get to these questionable parts of GoT, I am so grateful you are doing this show in comparison 😭

TVGirl

More dark pleaseee

Cindy Beach

Best casting ever! No matter what you think you have figured out now, just wait. AND TAKE NOTES! otherwise you will spend another 20 minutes after each episode trying to remember what you just saw and how it relates. We all know!

SomeoneElse

English DUB is really good for this show if it makes it easier to follow. It's pretty complicated so I'd recommend it, but I'm totally fine with this as well. This is an incredibly good show. I watched it with my homies as well and we all regard it very highly

TVGirl

Been 4 days guys please give us dark 🙏🏾

Dio
>>150020589

They’re watching way too many shows at once to post Dark as much as we want unfortunately :/

DARK EXPERT

Bruh they have dropped multiple two-episode reactions to shows like Haikyu, Naruto and One Piece in-between but nothing on DARK. Can't help but feel like DARK is being put on the back burner over here.😭

Euphemia Isobel
>>150064196

It’s definitely surprising that live action and anime cost the same membership when anime gets like 10times the content 😭

DARK EXPERT
>>150064196

YESS exactly!! They release so much more anime content relatively that it almost feels like if you are playing exclusively for live action, it just isn't worth it. There is no balance. (especially if you are paying for the early access tier. Which I did. What is the point in it if YT is going to catch up anyway?) No updates either regarding what is their schedule for DARK or even when we can expect them to drop the next one. You are left with no option but to keep checking every once in a while, only to come out a bit disappointed. I love their reactions and have followed them since their very first AOT reaction video they uploaded on Youtube but this is one thing that sometimes just gets to me.

Dio
>>150064196

I'd say it's probably best if you're here just to watch Dark, to unsub and then resub a few months from now once they finally finish the show 😭 it's sad because if there's any show that needs a binge, it would be Dark

Euphemia Isobel
>>150064196

I’m here for basically all their live action stuff but it is getting more and more slow lately, I got spoiled by April-July

DARK EXPERT
>>150064196

I think I really would have if I was only here for Dark. But I do follow some of the others too. The thing that worries me here the most is that they have taken so much on their plate,(at least 6 shows in total concurrently), I doubt they would be able to grasp and understand DARK. It is a show which demands your full attention. With them watching so many other shows at the same time and having such a large gap in between these episodes of DARK, it almost seems impossible that they would be able to even remember the important past events in the show as they move forward. That's why it is very important to binge here. But they are just doing the opposite of that. Oh well, let's see where it goes. I wouldn't be surprised if they do end up getting lost tbh.

Agent September 🏴‍☠️
>>150064196

Agreed, its a bad time to be a live action sub right now - they've got 4 animes going and only 2 live actions - one of which is GoT s8 and the other is Dark which it seems like we are getting 1 reaction per week.

Dio
>>150064196

I agree Dark Expert! We will see what happens

Agent September 🏴‍☠️
>>150064196

I know the geks started their channel reacting to anime but I hope we can get a little more live action love especially cuz I think a lot of new people came from game of thrones and are more into the LA side of things

BRO.

Gek boys, you’re sleeping on DARK.

Ale

I discovered I'm not smart enough to follow the story while paying attention to your comments lol I went and watched some more episodes by myself to enjoy the reaction more. Now I'm excited for the update!!

roonil

dark once a week isn't enough😭😭

Shikhar Srivastava

Guys please do pay attention to the live action part of your content too. The uploads have become increasingly sporadic here (specially DARK) while the anime side not only has double the number of shows going on but it is even bombarded with multiple simultaneous uploads on the same day. Please strive to attain some balance and uniformity between the two.

Renek

we cant wait any longer give us dark

roonil
>>150177268

and if you can't upload any more live action reactions in a week, please consider reducing the monthly price for LA

DARK EXPERT
>>150177268

Yes. It’s not fair charging the same for both the categories if there is going to be so much disparity between the two. If this is what they can manage then they should certainly reduce the price for LA

Frosty

It’s completely understandable that life happens sometimes and things get delayed, it just sucks that that usually means the uploads are permanently delayed cause there’s usually not 2 episodes filmed and edited, and for sure won’t be posted back to back

Dio
>>150206109

I think Carter said they were on episode 4 during Cannons twitch stream a couple days ago.. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just post it

Scott Nagao

Sooooooo excited to watch your “Dark” journey! This is gonna be the best way to rewatch it!

Al Boxley

Hmm, not a single Dark episode since Diddy got arrested…. lol

Euphemia Isobel

A week since spooky time adventure 😞🔫

Shikhar Srivastava

Guys, I reached out to them and have an update from the GEKS: "Ya we apologize, this week has been very chaotic for us in our personal lives and has unbalanced our schedules. Should resume this week to normal [sic]." I have suggested them to create a community chat to correspond with all of us to bridge this kind of communication gap. I feel that would totally solve these kind of issues going forward in the future.

Jsjdifjfjfjrjkeowkhdhf

I get to spend time with the gek bros while watching this awesome show.

Poragami

I just know they would eat up Steins Gate

kiiturii

can't believe they didn't catch the "first Mads now Mikkel" line after referencing Mads Mikkelsen last ep
