It's always surreal seeing how crazy these gamblers are. Here in nyc we have a big racetrack in queens. The entire 1st floor is just hundreds of people who look like they haven't showered in weeks yelling at a tv screen, smells so bad. Tickets all over the floor and as soon as the race is over they go buy more win or lose. They have other floors that are nicer but they cant afford them, they are just people GAMBLING with loans😭 insane

Squid game is more like a full circle story, short and logical, has an ending. Also more colorful. Alice in Borderland is more gory and dark, storyline sometimes feels weird, as if dragging on and with plot armors. Some actors lines are kinda cheesy as well, some effects are cartoonish, would translate better as an anime or comic book, rather than show. But last season was a nice wrap to it, made more sense. Overall, I would say movie critics would enjoy Squid Game, Gore and anime lovers would prefer AiB. Honestly enjoyed both, but wanted to quit AiB a few times (glad I didn't).

calling season 1 average , and you’ve watched squid game. is crazyyyy. squid game is very predictable compared to alice in boredland. by ep 3 i already knew the direction the show was going. the characters were crazier and the plot wasn’t as straight forward than it was in squid game and at the end of season 2 it was it insane. i refuse to believe you watched both and think squid game is better

I also usually avoid the trendy shows and movies, but I ended up watching this on my own months after the initial craze because it just seemed interesting, and was not disappointed. A Netflix show that I never hear anyone talk about but is phenomenal is Medici: Masters of Florence, would definitely recommend it either for the channel or to just watch on your own, so good.

Depending on the caliber of the bullet, hiding behind someone could be a bad idea. Sometimes bullets can over-penetrate and risk injuring/killing people around them as well. That's obviously not going to be considered by most people though ☝️🤓.

I was hoping your guys first ever Kdrama ( Korean Drama ) was something else, something less mainstream/trendy but Squid Game is still good. It’s just that normally new people to Kdrama, especially those who start with Squid Game pretty much just watch this and that’s it. Cant wait for next episode~ Also agree with all the Alice in Borderland follow up recs! I think a lot of channels that did one tended to end up doing both and its kind of fun to compare and contrast, though they are largely different shows! Kinda noteworthy though is that it isss a J-drama based off a manga, and with that there's some very anime-esque moments occasionally that may or may not feel a bit odd to see translated to live action for those who aren't used to it Personallyyy not into All of Us Are Dead though...I did watch and finish the whole first season and probsss would still watch the next if it continued, but tbh just a lot of frustrating bits to me that I think are mostly just issues with the source material (webtoon) and think there are a lot better K-dramas! Would still watch reactions but anticipate that you guys would have some similar complaints on it (one in particular) For K-drama that has a similar theme (in one specific area and like no other,,just not naming in case you guys were interested on trying to go into either completely blind at some point) I highlyyy recommend Kingdom,,probably one of my favorite dramas (just 2 seasons with 6 episodes each/one prequel movie that came out after,,begginggg for a season 3 lmao) and such a shame that it hasn't gotten more notice I think Heavy agree on the Train to Busan recs for a Cinema Gek Saturday too! And I do think the first is the best, but there's also even Train to Busan: Peninsula as a prequel movie that came out after~

South Korea (especially Seoul) is a very disfunctional society (though obviously ymmv), sometimes described as a patchwork of fascist dictatorships (the chaebols) in interlocking alliances. This show is primarily a social commentary on South Korean society that doesn’t quite translate to the US.

If you guys are up for it, I definitely recommend watching Alice In Borderland next. They are quite different as this is a kdrama and aib is a Jdrama but they're both amazing especially in shock factor. I personally prefer AIB out of the two. So I really hope you guys decide to watch AIB next! 💗

whenever they say .....won you guys need to stop thinking in the dollars terms whenever they mention money simply remove the last 3 zeroes to get the dollar amount so 10,000 won he gave to the cash lady and then asked her back is just (7 dollars in actuality) but think like nearly 10 dollars its just easy to calculate like that
