GreetswithJudgement

36:36 and on is just beautiful to me! Best part of the episode so far! And the Vic and Jayce bromance is my favorite thing in the show. I needed that from those two.

Madison

IT'S HERE!!!!! yeah this one left me feeling a little empty inside (in a good way, i think??)

Madison

definitely sobbed my eyes out the last episode

LovetheDove

Damn it I thought I’ll be first for once 😭😂

Kim 555

I’m scared

Jamin

RAHHHH

McKay Carter

RIP my glorious Queen Jinx 😭

Kim 555

React to Necrit’s video The World Of Riot’s MMO is Already Done, now that you finished Arcane 😈 please :)

More Naruto Reactions

Do you think a Naruto upload in the next 6 hours would be manageable? Or will it take more time?

Mia Malvik ⚞ • ⚟

All sadness aside, Caitlyn is so hot it's not even funny anymore.. Jayce too

Kale

Honesty… Jayce fumbled HARD before ekko arrived 😭 bro basically just gave up and let viktor win because his one or two (pretty weak) attempts failed D:

leah

DAYUM I DIDNT EVEN WATCH THE EPISODE YET 😭😭

Daniella

I still don’t know how i feel about the ending like it’s so good and bittersweet but at the same time felt kind of abrupt? idk but Jinx became my fav quickly and now she’s gone rip 😭

sb123

episode 7 was a fucking masterpiece but then these last two were kinda meh lowkey

Euphemia Isobel

Jinx is alive! Shimmer trail before explosion, zeppelin she said she’d ride one day, cait trying to figure out where her body is and seeing the air ducts on the fall down, holding the monkey bomb etc 🥳 Silco told her she has to walk away for peace and that’s what she did

samyoul

Highlight for me was MADDIE SHOOTING HERSELF IN THE HEAD HAHHA RAT BITCHHHHHH HAHAHHAHAHAHAH

samyoul

Jokes aside this show was beautiful, ending was a bit bittersweet but damn did I love it from start to finish. I think its gonna be a while before another show lives up to this one for me. Closets thing thats coming out recently has probably been solo leveling but this still clears

GreetswithJudgement

Jinx’s death was awful. There was no need for it. Vik and Jayce on the other hand. I love how they ended! Obviously this show is the best thing I’ve ever seen. I would give it a 9.7 personally and that’s still good. Season one is obviously a 10/10

Mia Malvik ⚞ • ⚟

Rip to my goat Viktor 🙏🏼 the way they wrapped it up with him and Jayce was flawless though, couldn't have asked for anything better. Everything else is a lot to process

julian

In all honesty there were many probelms with this season, especially the ending. but im just thankful its not bad enough to cloud my judgement of the show as a whole. as a complete show i give it a 8.5/10. Definitely wouldve been a 9.5 or 9.8 had it got a better ending. This last act is also the weakest of the 3 for me, the second one being the best

Nomaan

Viktor going crazy was destined since the VA is the same one who played Viserys in GOT… mad in all universes

GreetswithJudgement

It’s higher than what the Geks gave it! 😂 They gave it a 9.5 and I have more issues with it!

GreetswithJudgement

1.Silco/Vander 2.Vik/Jayce 3.Ambessa Jinx fell for me this season and I never liked Vi.

jblakk

I for one am happy to live in the universe with Arcane. Cant wait to see news on the spinoff/continuation. Hope they dont leave us in the dark too long in that regard. I expect Singed and Mel to be of those who will be in it. And maybe after a few spinoffs they converge all the plots and we get some of the OG piltover characters to come back. Lots of potential here.

KrisSto

One of the endings of all time, this really was our League of Legends

twinkzie

Tbh I doubt she's dead. I think they hinted at her surviving during end of the last ep where Cait was holding the head of a monkey (Jinx's signature), as Cait is looking at the hexgate schematics you see it specifically zooms in on the "air ducts and cooling system" tunnels. I assume she survived and escaped through these somehow

Cannon Andrus

Such a conflicting feeling last night

studiogek

Not sure, but closer to 6 hours is probably more likely

GreetswithJudgement

I know she’s not dead which makes her death worse for me. It was completely unnecessary either way I look at it.

Jacob Martinez

I don’t think she’s dead if you call back to episode 1 of arcane she says she’s gonna ride in a blimp someday and I think the ending is alluding to she escaped through the vents and got on a blimp. That’s also why for the random glitch at the end

GreetswithJudgement

It’s still top 2 shows for me. I can’t deny that no matter how I feel about it.

Murilo Murga

season 1 10/10, season 2 7.8/10. Show is still a 9/10 overall, ending felt very underwhelming, especially the whole piltover and zaun being united out of nowhere with sevika becoming a counselor, jinx "death" felt forced like they didint know what to do with her character anymore, caitlyn flip floping, vi being useless.

Jimmy

Was not a fan of these final episodes. Felt way too rushed, didnt personally feel like they resolved everything as well as they should have, and some iffy writing overall.

Murilo Murga

a lot of stuff that i think was pretty bad this season even comparing with other shows. But it still had some amazing moments, specially in acts 1 and 2. Just those final 2 episodes that didint deliver for me personally.

Euphemia Isobel

Go back and rewatch the moment she falls until the end of the episode, if you watch it knowing shes alive the cait scene makes way more sense, and you'l see the purple shimmer flash to the tunnels in the walls right before the explosion (That Cait is then looking at later when trying to find her)

mk

The only thing I'm unsure about is whether the implication is that Caitlyn knows that Jinx is alive but keeps that information from Vi (?)

syberkiller8

it was destined because of league of legends version of viktor

Nomaan

It’s a joke👍👍

Garlic

This couldve been 2 seasons and a movie or maybe even 3. Definitely need some aftermath episodes since I don't play the game and don't really know where ppl end up

mk

+ and I agree that an additional 3 episodes probably would not have hurt (not another season tho)

TheSauceGuy

Not everything is supposed to be solved, I think they did a good job sowing the seeds for new shows after this.

Segen

I hope u guys noticed that at the end, Caitlyn was holding the part of jinx’s bomb which didn’t explode clearly cuz she is holding it, and then she looks at the map of the place jinx vi and warwick were, and she sees that their are air vents leading out of the place. Which is why Caitlyn smiles when she sees AND u can see a shimmer trail lead out of the expolosion and into the air vents. And on the blimp, episode 1 season 1 jinx said she would fly on one of those. Idk if they’re all coincidences but!!!

Segen

CAITLYN MY GOAAAAT

mk

fascist cait > all

mk

ok comparing this to season 6 GoT is crazy guys

KL

Definitely some extra scenes/episodes could have filled in the small holes where they seemed to skip ahead. But with the time given to them I thought they did an excellent job regardless. Just another Game Of Thrones type thing but done much better. They're ready to move onto the next story, and it doesn't mean we won't see some of these characters returning I feel. No way. There's too much characters teased to return at the end there.

Juanca

Ekko, MVP! And Definitely Jinx is not dead

AV

jblakk

Agreed. What ive learned is the worst thing a series could do is tell you its ending. Then people start hyper-fixating on deadlines and "conclusions" instead of just enjoying art. Pacing is very important dont get me wrong, but people are turning nitpicks to a whole new level with things. Art analyzed through meta-expectations isnt conducive to a positive experience imo.

mk

Honestly idk if I want to see Jinx in another story. Having her sail away feels like a solid bittersweet conclusion to her character. Idk what her purpose/arc would be (except maybe to return to Piltover in the end(?)).

Saphira

I get the confusion at the end. Tbh I am still there hours after. The Show was so mindblowing overall and such a goat show but I really wish the whole story should have another season. Why squish everything into one? This is the first show where I have a overall great score but still have so many (little) disappointments.

Venus
>>156208699

why do yall think every story has a resolution? real life isn't even like that

Saphira

The only ending I am happy about is the ending of jayce and viktor. Everyone else I wished for a bit more screentime and a bit better introspection.

jblakk

Mcyay coulda got 100 bucks. Holy moly

Uros Vesic

Who is in jinx is alive camp? I think it is her in the ship

Saphira

Also a suggestion: the mv of the arcane song blood sweat and tears. It literally adds to Ambessa‘s storyline of arcane and gives a bit more introspection.

Nomaan

Oh jinx for sure is alive. I’ve seen people point out the quick pink blast off before the explosion which could be jinx escaping and her breaking the cycle and knowing when to walk away

𒉭

the episodes were too short, considering this was the finale season. each episode should’ve been like 1hr 10/20 minutes. and it’s crazy how i felt more emotional for isha death than jinx, because they did the building up towards isha death really well, whereas jinx death felt like cop out. before the author of berserk died he stated that he wasn’t going to give a character that suffered a lot , a tragic ending. sometimes wholesome endings are better. despite how i feel about the shows ending , i still think it’s the best series netflix has ever done and i can’t wait to see what they do in the future.

Billie

this season really solidified jayce as a great character. last season I didnt even consider him as one of my favourites (Viktor, vi, and now also echo). I wish there was a bit more time with some of the other characters like sevika, ambessa, mel etc. it just felt rushed but still such a great show for me

Jimmy
>>156208699

The story does have a resolution, I just thought it was executed poorly and personally dont agree with the direction they went. Also just not a fan of the multiverse/free will concept done again it just feels overdone at this point.

Jac

This is my opinion on a better route for Jinx: She's still depressed and Ekko has to talk her down, seeing the monkey things inside his machine makes her think of something her and Isha did together (when he's talking about building a better future for people). Then when she shows up to help she's fully embraced the Jinx persona. Manic and sort of unhinged, but not necessarily as 'evil' as her league version. She could still die or she could just say goodbye to Vi, as they're on two different paths by that point. Also I do think Warwick should've died. Vi and Jinx could've had one final moment together mourning Vander and basically getting some closure and saying goodbye to the past, including their past selves. It would've been very symbolic and much more cathartic imho. Other than that though, it was kind of messy but I didn't mind. Really could've benefited from an extra episode or even an extra act, even though it messes with the structure.

TheSauceGuy

I love this series because it highlights minor characters like the father who got shot in the neck. He may not have a huge role to play, but it goes out of its way to show how his daughter was sent away while he stayed to fight but ultimately lost his life. You also have the blue-haired Jinxer woman and the pianist.

TheSauceGuy

Why'd they have to go and do Maddie like that? I liked her lol. I wonder if she was a spy for Noxus from the start or if Ambessa recruited her later on.

kivu_king

great act 3. i see people hating on twitter but i thought it was pretty flawless outside of the jinx ending

kivu_king

you should watch more league stuff we need reactions to warwick trailer, ekko trailer and whatever u want tbh its all solid

NINJA SWORD

She's alive this is not cope its real.

Euphemia Isobel

I completely get what carter is saying in the post discuss, yes this could've been better with more episodes but that's because it's what they wrote. They didn't need to go this big in this season, they could've had a way more compact story to end the show and set up the future.

Kite

Not a big fan of how they ended the show. My biggest complaint is the obvious one: the pacing and how rushed it felt. I do enjoy bitter endings—I usually get very emotional with those types of moments and cry at almost anything sad. But somehow, all these deaths had no emotional impact on me. There were also a lot of cheesy moments, though that’s more of a personal complaint. I really liked the first six episodes, even though they weren’t perfect, and I also enjoyed episode 7 (it was kind of fan service, but I liked it anyway). Episode 8 felt like the show was just rushing to the finish line, and the final episode reminded me of Avengers: Endgame: a huge conflict resolved with a massive fight that, in my opinion, fell flat. This isn’t to hate on the show—I’m just a little disappointed because I had big expectations. edit: To be clear, I don't hate the ending, It's just that it needed more time imo. At it's lowest, this show is still top 3 oat 🐐

Uros Vesic

Second season of Arcane for some people is like going back to your favorite restaurant to eat your favorite food. Food is the same, but you are disappointed because there was no BJ for dessert. Not like there is anything wrong with expecting that, but not really realistic. There are parts of the season that are not as good as first one, but there are stuff that are much better. I am certain it would be even better on rewatch, probably could see how/why plot progressed. Great reaction, after every watch I went here to see what guys thought about it. It was as fun as watching it myself for the first time. PS. Ambesa vs Warwick fight would be stupid to show as it was much better reveal when he had to fight Jinx, bc of their history and all. Also, open ending gives more freedom for these characters to shows in other shows, which I hope they will. I am so bummed this is over, but so glad I could be here for this masterpiece.

Lucia

If you guys do rewatch season 1 I hope you post it here!

jrnoodles

Thanks! That fight between Mel, Caitlyn and Ambessa was Cinema.

Alan

I think ambessa died to blood loss because Caitlyn cut the inside of her thigh during the fight it’s really quick but could be that brain scramble thing too

Chrisiyyi

As a league fan season 2 was more in what i expected magic and world wise and i liked it more. i dont get why people think its worse then season 1 personally. I think what people expect of the show who basically know only arcane and season 1 it might be going to fast, but the powerscaling in the world is crazy. Think people knowing league and not knowing league/lore maybe have different opinions idk. I dont understand people thinking the magic and stuff was going crazy, season 1 had a ton of magic and hints to this. Honestly piltover and zaun has the least "super hero" thing of whole runeterra, the other parts of the world will be way more like that. Its called 'league of legends' after all, legends of monsters, heroes and evil people and their stories. I think for some people there are expectations of how it wouldve gone and those are different then some others and maybe that makes it feel weird for some idk. Also Why the noxus people dont do anything after ambessa got killed has reasons, noxus isnt your typical "faction" of just follow the leader.

Nico

Hopefully yall will see the "Jinx is alive" theories on twitter. Personally I think it makes sense.

Shockbile Gaming

no one thinks what you're saying. Season 2 is good

Marlon Douglas

Can any of the geeks respond to me if they saw the theories of Jinx being alive and if you agree?

Karlsefni

Fellas, what is happening to BYU - please one of yall get on the field & change things around so the winner of the BIG 12 can get a bye week instead of Boise State

TheSauceGuy

blood, sweat, and tears too

TheSauceGuy

I feel like Jinx is alive as Caitlyn was looking at possible ways she could've escaped. There's also that pink line dash just before the explosion, so I feel like it's suggesting she's alive, possibly leaving on the ship at the end. I have no clue what happened to Viktor, Jayce, or Heimerdinger. I know that Yordles (supposedly) have their spirits survive after death, which means that Heimerdinger (and Smeech lol) could still be alive in some form. As for Warwick, we never got to see his more "wolf-life" appearance from the game, but it could've been a purely stylistic change and maybe he is dead. Maybe Vander is dead within Warwick, but the beast is still alive.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

And so the march of Time continues, the conflicts and struggles and the endless desire for hope continues, the story of humanity continues. Forcing your good intentions on others is no different from an evil act...RIP Viktor & Jayce.

jblakk

Like what though? A whole season between Vander? Every time a show takes their time people say its too slow. Then when stories tell them more efficiently they say its rushed. I know theres a middle ground out there. But this is way closer to said middle ground than any recent show I can think of. (Except Severence, but not enough people watch that)

Euphemia Isobel

I just think they tackled way too much in one season, it's still imo a 9/10 or higher but it's stilled rushed and the pacing made it less good. It could have been just one season, with a different more compact story

NINJA SWORD

I loved the jinx ending and she's my fav character too

GreetswithJudgement

The thing is the story is actually perfect. The problem isn’t the magic or the marvel superhero ending or the deaths or even the music montages. The story is perfect…if it didn’t rush the plot. That’s all people are criticizing, the pacing issues that affect everything else. Everything that had happened in this finale is legitimately a great way to end it but the audience didn’t get to engage with what should have been key moments leading up to it. That is what’s missing for people. Story is different from plot. The story itself is perfect. All they needed was more time to effectively resolve the main conflict. Most viewers are satisfied. It’s a great story and a good follow up!

NINJA SWORD

I think you episode 7 should be left out of talks that act 3 was a "rushed" episode cuz that one was amazing episode 7 is now a lot of peoples fav even in the whole series.

parALICEis

i might actually put s2 over s1. bc i cried so many times. I absolutely love Isha. I also play LoL so i am familiar with the champions. Seeing Victor in his Glorious Evolution, Warwick, and Ekko making his time machine was pretty awsome. Heimerdinger dropping one of his ingame lines : never a dull moment. and the introduction of the black rose was pretty cool too.

TheSauceGuy

What do you guys think the Crow is representing at the end?

Mahti

For me S2 act 2 was the best Arcane ever was, act 3 was still great but felt a bit rushed and probably would have been better if they gave it 2-3 more episodes to give more closure. Hard to rate it, but I still think S2 wa slightly better than S1 given it's insane peaks.

TheSauceGuy

The only issue I had with the season was that we didn't get Twitch, so it's unwatchable. Jk lol, but my only real gripe is with the amount of episodes.

JuancaMX

Quality was excellent, but im very disappointed with multiple things, I feel similar to how I felt with GoT s8... The scope got way out of hands with the whole multiverse thing and it was a bit overwhelming for the amount of episodes they got to explain it. But even if that stayed the same, there was a lot of sacrifice and no payoff to the main plotlines 1. We didn't get Jinx and Vi to fully reconcile 2. Jinx most likely pulled out a Batman (dead but not really just leaves) 3. Vander still died (?) And I could go on, but my point is I invested all this time and I got nothing of the things that I wanted.

engraved

its also technically not a theory anymore, the showrunner Christian Linke said in an interview a few hours ago when questioned "so is Jinx alive" he just smirked and said "figure it out". (source is Necrit94 on twitch, vod is there), so they definitely intended on this being quickly figured out

TheSauceGuy

I think she's just trying to restart somewhere, so Noxus wouldn't be the greatest place that I can think of for that lol. All we can do is wait and see.

engraved

basically confirmed, i put in another comment but i'll paste it here: the showrunner Christian Linke said in an interview a few hours ago when questioned "so is Jinx alive" he just smirked and said "figure it out". (source is Necrit94 on twitch, vod is there), so they definitely intended on this being quickly figured out

parALICEis

i get thet you guys where a bit overwhelmed with the sudden power scaling but in this world we have barely scratched the surface haha. also for mel i do think it makes sense bc she didnt even know of it herself. her powers got relised when fecing death i think. since it seems her main powers so far were shilding. first whith the rocket than when chained by the black rose.

Kite

It's not that deep bro chill 💀

TheSauceGuy

My top three are Silco, Viktor, and Smeech. Idk, I just like "rat" characters lol. I also liked Marcus.

Dragi

Guys, no cope, Jinx lives. Everything alignes

Dragi

The ending feels a lot better to me if Jinx is alive, think about it (she is)

Kale

i mean vi and jinx never needed to fully reconcile, theyre always with eachother regardless. also i believe jinx is fully dead considering she was already suicidal for a while and we even got to see what would happen if jinx used the grenade infront of her when ekko stopped her, then she does the same thing with the grenade at the end.

parALICEis

please do a lore dive where u guys look at all the diffrent lol champs, their bios/stories, theme songs and ingame voice lines ... that would be sick

jblakk

The kid who played Piano and gave it up to help was also clutch.

JuancaMX

Nothing "needs" to happen, but I dont watch fantasy shows for the tragedy genre, I was emotionally invested in the characters and their story and for some reason I didn't get rewarded in any level. I come out of this with absolutely no satisfaction, only cool visuals and an interesting, but under developed time loop plot. Also reminder this is all my personal opinion regarding my tastes. I'm not trying to say that a story needs to be a certain way or always have a happy ending, but I do expect some highs with the lows, it just so happened that this season had lots of long very low lows and very few and short lived highs.

NINJA SWORD

its not a multiverse its timeline. Besides only Ekko can go there and only for 4 secs back. Jinx and VI would never be the same it wouldn't make sense. She saved her sister finally after her failure in s1e3, Silco told her the only way to end the cycle was to "walk away". We saw Vander's mind die in ep8. Most things were explained. People just made their own conclusions before the show even aired big mistake.

Segen

you guys should make a video ranking every arcane character

JuancaMX

If this isn’t a multiverse, how is there a timeline where Zaun is thriving, Jinx is mentally stable, and Vander and Silco are alive? Unless I’m missing something huge, this has to be a multiverse. Also, just because a character hinted at something a long time ago doesn’t mean it had to happen, especially in such an unnecessarily dramatic way. For two characters defined by the loss of loved ones, how does it make sense for Jinx to force Vi to relive the same kind of trauma that broke her in the past? Vi and Jinx could have had a heartfelt final conversation, with Jinx leaving Zaun on good terms while still stepping aside so “the cycle” could end. But honestly, I don’t even understand that argument, Jinx wasn’t the sole cause of all the chaos, she isn't even attached to the main cataclysm of the plot. So, what? is every main character supposed to leave? The more I think about it, the less sense it makes. And considering they’ve traveled across both time and dimensions, and the fact that HE DIED IN SEASON 1, witnessing "Vander’s mind die" ultimately means nothing.

Yara

season 1 was peak, season 2 was great but there is just too many missed opportunities to flesh out some plot points better (Mel with her mage thing, the arcane itself, vi and jinx's relationship development, mel and jayce's relationship, etc) It was still a gut-wrenching end especially that my top favorite characters died (Vikor, Jayce, Jinx, Heimerdinger) and my least favorite characters lived (Vi, Caitlyn, Sevika). Ekko being mvp and living kinda made me feel a tiny bit better. Favorite episode is episode 7 for this season. Arcane is still peak, I agree with the geks the visuals, music, cinematography was out of this world but giving this season another arc or 3 more episodes could have made it a masterpiece.

Karlsefni

don’t even know how the tiebreakers are gonna work now for the big 12 chip 😭

JuancaMX

Did knowing the lore for this one really affected the experience in a negative way? Imho the very few things I knew made things more hype.

Jimmy

Yall should do a tier list/ranking for favorite shows ever along with the yearly anime tier list!

Visage

I don't think jinx is dead there are too many things alluding she probably is still alive. You can see her shimmer out top right of the first blue explosion as well as Caitlyn investigating the air ducts probably because of no evidence of a body alluding that jinx probably escaped out through there. in season 1 ep 1 powder also says one day she would ride that ship in the end scene this ties in with that scene with Silco and Jinx in the cell where he says to jinx " the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away" jinx is probably on that ship leaving Vi to be happy with Caitlyn and as Ekko said through out this act "Taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". I just don't think they would kill off such an important character in the LoL verse in that way or i might be coping. LoL fans: Love the small hints they give of the next characters in the future shows of Swain and LeBlanc with the crows and the vision of swain in LeBlanc's vision with Mel, Noxus looks exciting.

Ana

The ending was perfect. It was bittersweet. I don't understand the comparisons to GoT. Some of y'all are being dramatic. We're definitely seeing these characters again Jinx dying broke me 😩😩

Billie

I was so confused with the GOT comparisons!!!!

Beerus Ball

facts, but to each their own 🤷‍♂️

Visage

Jace and Viktor are either dead or have been teleported or in a different dimension who knows its the same as Heimerdingner

Ana

Omg loved that moment

WhynefineT

Arcane vs one piece and naruto which is better?

Caleb

Jinx is alive and hears why, during the jail scene with silco, silco says, “i think the cycle ends when you find the will to walk away”, right after that scene jinx leaves vi and tells her she deserves to be happy, jinx knows vi cant be with Caitlyn if shes around, and she knows if vi thinks shes alive, vi will never let her go. At the end when the grenade explodes, simultaneously as it explodes you see a single pink shimmer streak dash to the side, and the rest of the explosion is blue, during the final scene caitlyn is looking at the hexgate tower and looks at the vents and smiles, she knows jinx is alive and chose to leave to let them be happy and finally, in episode one of the show, powder on the roof sees one of those ships and says one day shes going to ride on one and leave, and the final scene of the show is the exact same ship leaving and, but the only difference on the ship in the end is a blue flag, jinx is 100% alive. The show-runners are chefs, they left subtle hints, theres just no way that was how jinx ended, she is alive, i feel like this is the writers way of saying if you pay attention to subtle hints and foreshadowing, you get some comfort, but if it goes over your head too bad you get to think jinx is dead

Marquist Simms

Im currently only watching these guys for arcane and naruto of course no naruto right before the orochimaru fight

Rebecca

no yeah i agree - i think the season is great but it was just a little disjointed for me because everything seemed so rushed. i would sometimes get taken out of the experience and wish there was more time on certain subplots unlike in season 1, but i still cried and loved the experience. Overall a great time though

GreetswithJudgement

Man, it just hit now that the show is over. I can’t stress enough how beautiful the relationship is between Vik and Jayce. I adore it.

jemmy

didnt enjoy this season honestly

Caleb

1.jinx 2.jayce 3.embessa

Maeve

I’m severely depressed and overwhelmed. The Jinx scenes are unfathomably heartbreaking. It’s a severely difficult watch. I think you can’t find better written characters than Jinx It’s truly devastating and heart crushing

jed d'angelo

I dont know how I feel about the ending to the show. It is such a good show but I feel like there was something missing in the final episode.

Caleb

Boys just sit on it ok, get a rewatch in and sit on it, this season tho felt rushed because of time skips, from the perspective of the story i think it genuinely makes sense, goated show

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I don’t get why so many people are hating. The ending was amazing. It just wasn’t as good as S1

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I get what Carter is saying. Season 1 had more “soul” where the story was written amazingly. It had a lot of emotion. Season 2 had a more interesting plot IMO but it felt a little less “alive”

Mr. John Kagurabachi

It’s so funny seeing Carter cope so hard during the post-discussion icl 😭 I’ve never seen Carter so passionate. You love to see it.

Niffol

SWAAAIIIINNNN

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Sidelining the Piltover vs Zaun conflict into God vs Humanity felt random af. Jinx vs Vi’s conclusion also felt unsatisfactory. BUT IDK I still really loved the ending and this season. Yall hate and complain too much. The fact they managed to cram so much story into this pacing should be applauded IMO.

Daveeed

I think we can all agree that we want more of these League of Legends stories.

Maeve

"Always with you, sis."

Maeve

"One day, I'm gonna ride one of those things"

Poragami

Arcane is done Squid Game is pretty much done Dark is almost done What's next?

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Ultimately it comes down to too much stuff happening in 3 episodes with not enough build up, pacing issues has been his critique in many shows.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Idk I feel like the pacing was fine it just wasn’t perfected. I think everyone complaining is just demanding the perfection of s1.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

They are just very passionate and biased on their favourite show its normal they complain to not live up to the S1 writing and pacing.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Yes because why couldnt they just do the same thing as S1? Maybe they created too many subplots and tried to cram them into the last episodes without build up.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

hey at least be amazed how talented the people who make the music and animation and the future of potential shows!

Mr. John Kagurabachi

The only subplot they added was Mel and I loved her story. The black rose 🔥

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Jinx was trying to blow herself up many times until ekko convinced her to do some good and now suddenly after her father dies she finds some reason to live and ditches vi? Is she still emo or become some church nun?

Aozora

I friggin knew it! It didn't make sense for jayse to do what he did without the proper motivation. I actually predicted it before act 3 dropped

Raghda

Carter I agree with you SO HARD, the animation was great, I loved the music and I loved most of the characters but the narrative really suffered from pacing/lack of time/episodes. It no longer felt as character driven in the end and felt heavily reliant on the arcane plot! I still loved the show and its still top for me but as someone who only watched season 1 in the last few months rather than waited 3 years, it didn’t feel like a match. I was so upset with Jinx’s ending. I wanted this mentally traumatized girl that we’ve seen suffer and fight and grow for 18 episodes to get a better ending, it was a disservice to her character and especially her and Vi’s story together. And the fact that she might actually be alive in the end but far away feels cheap. Still loved the season and the show, but eh. I feel just as confused and mixed as you. It was all these little things building up on top of each other that knocked it down for me.

Johnny

Watch at 0.5x speed right before the explosion. You can see a pink shimmer trail shoot off into the same air ducts that Cait was inspecting 👀

Jv1300

No shippuden this past week?

BusterBigNuts

I can’t get over how badass Ambessa was. Her voice actress killed it as well

DontFailArtSchoolEren

when your show budget is 250 million you better spend it on incredible animation and music, the writing cant scale as much if thats how the script was, just make everything else more shiny and win some animation awards.

Raghda

yeah I definitely feel like they expected the animators to like pick up the slack for a lack of a better term when it came to loose ends. like whatever they couldn’t/didn’t have time to convey through writing they tried to show through animation but thats a hell of a task to accomplish.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

It Seems like the story was told with two separate visions for both seasons. It’s only fair for people to have different feelings about it. Personally, I only seriously fell for the show in season 2. The end did leave me wanting for more ,though. As for my top 5: 1. Victor (the real GOAT) 2. Ambessa (straight up conqueror is right, Brig!!) 3. Jinx 4. Vi 5. Ekko/Mel Hope you guys watch the “Blood Sweat and Tears” clip from Leagues of Legend, made for Ambessa.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

living happily in a world where hextech doesnt exist, creating other alternative things to help people.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Nah the people calling it as bad as GoT s8 or to skip S2. Yall are valid 👍

Jv1300

🔥🦊

Yoome_Tan

Hey there! I was just curious about something—Naruto is meant to air on Fridays, right? So how did it end up on Sundays?😔💔

GreetswithJudgement

If you look at their posts they explain why it’s late. Files were corrupted and they are working hard to get it uploaded.

DJ

It 100% reads as if they had to condense 2 seasons into 1 for whatever reason. Maybe management realised the popularity too late. Either way, I hope they give it enough seasons in the future for the Noxus storyline (which seems next).

Patriicia

And Harry Potter as well? 🥺

imgd

read their post buddy, its corrupted currently

DJ

Said this in a comment but will put it here: It 100% reads as if they had to condense 2 seasons into 1 for whatever reason. Maybe management realised the popularity too late. Either way, I hope they give it enough seasons in the future for the Noxus storyline (which seems next). But I don't think they clocked that Jinx isn't dead, heavily implied that she survives, you see a pink shimmer line escaping the explosion, Cait looking at the vents near the explosion and the blimp at the end which calls back to one of Powders first lines about riding in one of those. She just felt like she needed to leave for the others to be happy. I think we'll see Jinx again in the future, probably in Demacia or maybe even a return to Piltover and Zaun.

James Wilson

Last three episodes should have been at minimum 6 episodes The final battle felt lazy and predictable, same with ambessa’s fight, I liked echos bit, also the sex scene went on WAY to long lmao, felt unnecessary and was like a record scratch for me The whole jinks redemption didn’t hit for me and her death was bad and lazy as well Rushed…that’s all I can say about the last act, just a little disappointed because I expected so much but I still liked the ending as a whole despite the loose ends

GreetswithJudgement

It will probably never be a contestant for a reaction but Scavengers Reign is a deeply beautiful peaceful yet unsettling animated series. A very short one but it’s one of my favorites with some similar elements of Arcane. Primal and Pantheon are also very amazing shows.

Bambina

Any chance for the sopranos? I finished it a few weeks ago and I’m obsessed

Venus
>>156208699

i actually agree with you and was heavily disappointed in jinx's ending. i was jsut talking about when you said they didn't resolve everything

Animeke

Not gonna lie, this ending felt very Game of Thrones.

Nico

Oh dang thank you for this. You even put a source too. Appreciate it

samyoul

Wait til they see the Jinx is alive theory on Tiktok

Venus

squid game season 2 comes out next month, hopefully they watch it

Lydia

Thanks Geks for introducing this series to me like two weeks ago 😭 I don’t think I’ve had a show hit me this emotionally before. The last 2 eps were so fast paced tho that I didn’t think I had time to even process what was happening in the moment. All in all, Viktor and Jayce having their ending, Cait and Vi being happy and Jinx flying off to live a new life makes this ending perfectly fine to me. (even tho she coulda taken Ekko with her 😒) I’m excited for whatever’s next for this universe.

Aegean

It all came full circle back to the start.. This show OMG. First of we need more of this show, but also more shows like this with the animation etc! Jayce + Victor and Jinx, V and Vander`s end made me cry god damn it

HaveAblast

Its not a theory.. its heavily implied by the writers, the baloon at the end is her leaving piltover, also you can see a blimp of shimmer during the explosion. Also caitlyn was inspecting the ducts in the hexgates at the end thinking she may have escaped through one of them. It makes sense she would want to make the decision to dissapear so vi and cait can be happy she thinks everything aorund her turns to chaos and everyone close to her dies, so it would be her decision

samyoul

ik I saw it but they all think shes dead lol

HaveAblast

sorry you feel that way

Dylan Roy

there is evidence jinx is alive. if u go frame by frame before the explosion a pink line dashes away from the explosion. Cait is investigating the schematics of the tower and zooms in on the air ducts in the area they were, and in season 1 jinx says she always wanted to ride one of those airsips

Denzel Mwandha

A rewatch of act 3 really does help. I felt the exact same as Carter after watching it but then I watched it again with you guys and seeing it a second time helped me pick up on little things that I missed before which made it more enjoyable for me. Though I still do think season one was better overall, this season was still amazing.

hawk3yee

exactly right, she's guaranteed to be alive especially because she broke the cycle leaving Vi happy with Caitlyn and not getting revenge just like Silco said in episode 8, actually brilliant story telling.

hawk3yee

They planned it to be 2 seasons from the start but I definitely agree they couldve used atleast 1 more act in season 2

hawk3yee

Hey, I hope the Gek's read this but as another commenter said there was a livestream with the co-creator of Arcane confirming 2 or 3 more shows in Demacia, Ionia, and Noxus. He also confirmed that one new show has already been in the works for a year. I understand complaints about the pacing though I think this season could've used atleast one more Act to flesh out some story lines but in the end I still love this show. I hope Carter can find his love for a very character driven slower story in something like Noxus or Ionia. I bought my first ever Patreon subscription to watch the reaction of all of you to this show and I'll be sure to buy one again once the next show comes out. I will say though the creator also confirmed Viktor and Jayce's stories are not done, neither Vi and Caitlyn. There's so much more they can do to explore other characters in Piltover and Zaun but unfortunately like Christian Linke said in the stream this story was meant to focus on Vi and Jinx, n then Jayce and Viktor and you can't fit everyone in the region in one show. Even Heimerdinger will come back since he's a Yordle, they can't technically die. As a lore fan the teases for another show make me feel estatic and I hope whatever they cook up next can be just as good as Arcane season 1 or better.

hawk3yee

I agree 100% watching it back this second time helped me understand a few things more aswell

Agha

There are strong hints Jinx is alive, during the explosion at the top you see her pink shimmer trail speed blitz away. Caitlyn is looking at the diagram of the Hextech area where the vents are to figure out where she could've escaped too as she was holding on to Jinx's monkey head. At the end we see a random airship travelling away that could be a nod to when she said she always wanted to be fly in one, after she that it cuts to a Jinx style "The End" title screen.

Roxana G.

Please react to the LOL finals openings! Faker and T1 won the 2024 cup!

Raghda

yes I definitely agree!! it makes me sad that if they do take pacing feedback that it wasn’t in time for this specific series 😭😭 but what can u do atp

George Dokos

No Vi in any top 3 in kinda crazy ngl

Joel

Did the switch in pacing between season 1 and 2 feel jarring to you at all having watched it for the first time back to back?

Joel
>>156241878

Agreed. Not only the ending but the entire black rose/Mel storyline was rushed, the constant 180s in philosopies by Viktor felt jarring, and I can't put my finger on why but the end to the Vi/Jinx storyline felt unsatisfying imo.

Schnuffel
>>156241878

I dont agree. I feel like Viktor was always the same person, they just did a very good job on showing us different angles to his philosophies. Ultimately his goal after fusing with the hexcore was always "The Glorious Evolution", in which he fuses every living being into one mind to make an end to senseless bloodshed, anger and sorrow. After realising that he ultimately just creates an empty world where nothing is worth doing, and ideals dont exist, he realises his mistake and goes back in time to give Jayce the Hexrune, so Jayce can stop him from following through.

Crogadile

Am i the only one who didn't much care for the love making scene in a prison cell. Kind of silly, but overall good story.

Nana_44

We getting squid game?

Lydia

Very. It’s also that the scale of events were so different. When jinx fired at the council that was shocking lol fast forward I didn’t expect an avengers level threat to be introduced in the second to last episode 😭 bc if you think about it in ep 6 viktor tells the doctor he will not do this. I just think this season could have benefitted from like 3 more episodes.

Stephanos Stavrou

I am so torn on what season I like most but I will probably go with Season 2. The Act 2 of Season 2 is a masterpiece and easily the best arc of Arcane for me. Let's remember it's hard for really great shows to stick the landing in their Series Finale and only a handful of successful shows managed to do the ending justice to their previous seasons.

Vol

they unfortunately fumbled the ending

Kim 555

There is so many little things that happen that yall don't catch on and I know what it is 100% from league/runeterra's lore and it hurrrrrrrrts to not be able to talk about it, cause I want you to find it yourself

Lydia

Also thank god we live in the time of the internet bc i would have gone to sleep thinking jinx was dead. She was and always will be my favorite character.

NINJA SWORD

This is the best explanation

NINJA SWORD

??? Whoever said that should never watch a show again.

celery

wait she’s not dead?

Kim 555

Fun fact, that last appearance of Jinx (the way she was dressed) will be a new skin that's a tier above Mythic skins which is the most expensive and customizable tier with big effects. It's a tier called Exalted. The skin is gonna have major effects and it's only obtainable by playing gacha. It's based on luck, so you keep rolling and paying until you get the skin, however there is a guaranteed amount spent that will give you the skin which equals to 250$ real life money, only if you don't get it in earlier spins

Lydia

yeah it's heavily implied shes not. someone explained it well in one of these comments.

Connor O'Hara

I think for a lot of people, myself included, the expectation of what season 2 was going to be did not match what we got. That's not a criticism of the show, it's just that they decided to go with a way bigger cosmic-level scale for season 2 after season 1 was a pretty intimate, character-focused story. For me, I liked what they did and I appreciate all the character choices they made, but I can honestly understand if people who were looking for a progression of season 1 feel disappointed with this season. I think in the long run though, we're going to look back at this season as another incredibly well made season of the show. Sad to leave Piltover and Zaun behind, but excited to see where Riot takes it next. They have my complete trust

Kim 555

The ending of this show might've hinted at where exactly the next series will take place and who the main characters are going to be and I'm so freaking excited for it no matter how long it would take. And I'm not talking about the ship btw, league lore fans iykyk

jemmy

Oh, don't worry. I still enjoyed it. I just felt a lot of the disconnect with characters too strongly this season. A lot of inconsistencies and other nitpicks stood out. I was willing to forgive the pacing in the first act, but the last act ... I was like, yup, ruined.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)
>>156226749

As a child of the 90s I have a problem with properties being made for the sole purpose of "seeing characters again". We are many, hear us.

Mysterious Figure

Everyone, be real. The only reason why anyone feels bad about ANYTHING in this season is because you simply wanted more because it is just SO GOOD. The stuff we all want to have gotten more fleshed out and spread into more episodes we can all imagine in our heads since we just didn't get this time. The creators have said they aren't done with most of these characters stories so we are NOT done and they will be coming back. As for looking onward, the new stories that we haven't seen yet - the biggest most obvious new thing that was flat out shown were the ravens with three red eyes. Those ravens are tied to a very important new character you haven't yet seen in Arcane, but is very well known in League lore and in the game. It is easy to know where the story will go next just from seeing those ravens, and if you have paid attention, those ravens have been present in the show for a very long time, keenly observing everything that's been happening, but most people hadn't paid attention to them in the show at all.

Mysterious Figure

Also, with everything we've seen so far in this show, I'm surprised that people are so sure Ambesa is actually dead. She may very well be in a coma, and could have had her soul sucked out by "You-know-who" and put somewhere as a token for future blackmail or to otherwise manipulate future events, as a sort of ace up their sleeve, because that's EXACTLY what "You-know-who" would do. If you actually look at the scene, the "You-know-who" drained something out of Ambesa's head with magic, and if they wanted to kill Ambesa, it would have been much easier to kill her faster by simply snapping her neck with magic, but the "You-know-who" specifically went in super close to perform whatever that was. And we all learned in Arcane many times now, no detail in this show is an accident. I wouldn't write Ambesa off so quickly just yet. She was also just released as a brand new champion in the game. It would make zero sense to immediately kill her off in a show that cost 250 mil to make and is literally the biggest promotional material for their main game. LMAO

Mysterious Figure

And ok Carter, you aren't happy with how suddenly Mel's powers came into play in the story, but you guys only consume League content through Arcane. A video was released a bit before Arcane season 2 that showed a lot of Ambesa's backstory, which includes important context which might clarify some of your feelings about Mel and her powers and many people here have asked you guys to look at it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhTZTy1rZhw ...at some point you just have to take into consideration that when a universe/lore is at this grand scale, things like these will happen - lore is being built in bits and pieces throughout different pieces of medium, so take a few minutes to look at relevant videos from time to time if you need clarification. There is plenty more if you care to take the time to get a broader picture. It will enrich your love for the show exponentially. Necrit's videos about the whole lore of Runeterra for example or any of the official League animated story videos.

Ana

Vi is my number 1 then Ekko Mel

McKay Carter

I think my Glorious Queen Jinx is alive 👀

Anton Sakshaug (Jancked)

Welcome to League! I think the reason Riot started with Piltover and Zaun is cause its the most "Normal" place in Runeterra so that non- player fans can get a smooth transition into the verse. and now after getting non- players to get hooked into the verse they can go a bit more crazy. Next up is most likely Noxus with the little tease at the end and maybe some Ionia. Im very excited!!!

Anton Sakshaug (Jancked)

Also as a League fan i was quite disapointed hearing it was gonna be piltover and zaun cuz i was like "whaaat out of all the cool stuff we go with normal people like Vi and Jinx" but i was blown away by how great they made this show. So now im even more hyped for what comes next!

Anton Sakshaug (Jancked)

You guys should watch the Jinx explosion closely, she is 100% alive. And then cait hinting at it with looking at air ducts and stuff on the hex gate. And then lastly callback to s1 ep1 when powder said she was gonna "one day fly in one of those" refering to the airship at the end! SHE LIVES!!

Agha

Jinx is alive. Right before the explosion she shimmer blitzes away from the explosion, and you see Cait looking at a diagram for the vents near where she fell to see where she went as shes holding Jinx's money bomb. It also cuts to the Airship and if you recall in season 1 Powder always wanted to fly in one as; as it cuts to The End Jinx style title screen. When Jinx was in thr Jail cell, Silco told her the only way to break the cycle is to walk away, so she left.

Agha

You guys should watch the Tiktok or any video analysis, shes alive

hayden 💟

Vi not being in any of ur guy’s top 3 is crazyyyyy

Kacie Mills

No, I agree. I'm happy that they took that step in their relationship, but in a prison cell?? Come on lol.

Slizzle

Not really, she doesn’t have anything on characters like jinx, jace, viktor or even ekko even tho he didn’t have much screen time

Slizzle

I cared about ekko and jinx and all I got was vi and Caitlyn prison sex, I swear this shit always happens to me lol

Ana

After gathering my thoughts I came to the conclusion that season 2 was better to me. Yes season 1 had better pacing but that's all that was better to me. Season 1 was amazing. But it did not bring the emotions that season 2 did. I was scared during act 2 like how are they gonna wrap this up? And they surprised me. The ending was great and it made sense for every character. Episodes 7 from each season were fav episodes but after 9 that is now over both those 2. Episode 9 had me experiencing each emotion happy, angry, sad. I didn't know what was gonna happen and I'm glad I didn't. Also I'm pretty sure these characters will be back in the future. Everyone's story isn't over. I was sad about Jayce,Viktor, and Jinx but I was satisfied. Like idk what else i could ask for. Or what would of been better. I feel like at the core arcane is Vi and Jinx's story. Their story is probably done for now. But the rest of the characters no. Also personally for me all I truly wanted from season 2 of Arcane is for Vi and Jinx to fix their relationship and become sisters again. And they did and that's the main thing I wanted from this story. And it gave me that. My top 5 Vi Ekko Mel Silco Sevika Jinx moved up a lot for me after season 2 so she would be 6. My top 5 has been the same since season 1 I always loved Jayce and Viktor but they fell off a little after season 2

Ana

I think they showed Mel had powers at the end of season one when she glowed. Also I don't think she is a God just a mage. She still doesn't know her powers which is why the next show will most likely be about her and a lot of questions will be answered. I don't think Mel's only quality is manipulation she always had a good heart. Yeah it probably happened fast with her learning to use it but we didn't have much time. I agree we definitely should spent more time on it. But since she's probably the next show. They wanted to focus on characters we might not see again. They haven't disappointed me yet. So I'm just trusting the process

hayden 💟

whatttt I love her 😔 but I see what you mean. I’m prob just biased cause she’s been my fav character since season 1

studiogek

She was in season 1 for me, not anymore unfortunately

Justin Rosario

i think the end of jinx was good even though it didnt make the most sense but because she ended her story with vander the same way it started expect instead of jinx trying to help and causing things to unfold badly it was vi i think we all know vi was just trying to help but jinx had to pay the price its crazy to think about but for once jinx wasnt the jinx.

Lydia

I read your comment and then did some digging and I’m so happy I did bc the other kingdoms/regions look so cool that it is kind of curing my post show depression. I know nothing about LoL but I’m so excited for more shows and characters. I hope they keep making more stories and this gets as big as marvel lol

Belly

yall need to watch riot’s “blood, sweat, and tears” mv. it’s about young ambessa.

Vict0

Yeah she had to die for her arc to go full circle. The way they killed her though is just a stain on the amazing story they built her.

Vict0

I'm reading in other comments that she might actually be alive. Which then makes this death kinda good i think. Because had she died in a beautiful way people would have called her being alive bullshit. Now since her death was shit we crave for her to be alive still.

Justin Rosario

i agree that it was a weird way for her to die even tho it was a beautiful story i felt like it was too easy of a way to end her story.

ssj4rit

I think every act should’ve had 1 episode more to breathe, the season felt very rushed at times

Seth Aasland

not to be dramatic, but Jayce and Viktor touching foreheads at their end may or may not have killed me. i fear i will not recover from this show.

outrun_fate

cannon the only one predicting jinx's death he cooked

ShadowCat

Now that y'all have had a little more time to process, and watch things again, I'd love to hear if your feelings or thoughts have changed! I know there were mixed feelings, which I totally get. But personally, I feel like after letting it process a couple days, and watching back the highlights, I'm really pleased with season 2 and how it ended. I think some of my initial feelings at the end weren't disappointment towards the season or ending, but just disappointment that it was over as a whole. Like the end of Arcane depression hit immediately lol Also, fyi, if you haven't seem some of the vids explaining how Jinx isn't dead, go watch them. She is totally still alive.

Halfblood Fuko

It's because of riot they wanted to move on to different regions to make more skins and make more money

Lemonsqueeze

Exactly what i was thinking. Its pretty obvious if you pay attention to the part where Caitlyn looks at the Hexgate tunnel and smiles.

Jess

After letting some days go by and sitting on the ending and season 2 as a whole. I must say, my feelings have changed dramatically. And on a whole scale re-watch I have thoroughly enjoyed the season. Not only that, I actually loved the music! Please do a season 2 review with everyone! Can't wait to hear your guy's thoughts after sitting on season 2 for some time.

Jess

All the theories about Jinx being alive still are definitely not delusional. The voice actress for Jinx, Ella Purnell was asked in an interview "Is Jinx actually dead?" And she gasps dramatically then answered “Ummmmm....We don’t know” and shrugged. “We’re gonna leave that up to interpretation” She’s known for being terrible at keeping secrets and spoilers haha. She basically hinted at the fact that Jinx isn’t dead lol. The way she answered the question was super suspicious which makes me believe she’s alive!

Zyuki

Season 1 was definitely better paced, but I think I’d take season 2 over season 1 partly because the moments like Sevika vs smeech, ishas death, viktor iconic Jesus scene and all the fights. What really sealed the deal though was episode 7, that episode left me feeling emotions I’ve never felt before😭

Mitch

That’s so dumb tho because why not just show us!???? Like the show is over, theirs no more content, why do we need convoluted theories and headcanon to assume one of the main characters survived. It’s wack af to me.

Mitch

The fact that I have to do homework to understand a tv show is kinda insane don’t you think?

Lydia

yes i saw it on tiktok! i love that video lol she's def alive. If you rewatch it's fairly obvious. the Cait scene at the very end looking at the building schematics basically confirmed it. Also the airship at the end. This show is so detailed there isn't anything in the show that they made for no reason.

WhynefineT

Apparently they cut out 60 minutes of content from the last episode not sure if you guys knew this already

Mysterious Figure

I would say you do have to do your homework. But if you are fine with feeling unsatisfied, your choice is your own. Did you understand fully how and why Gandalf came to life after his battle with Balrog simply from watching the movie Lord of the rings? Did you understand all the nuances of that world and its many characters just from the movies? Of course not - because some mythologies are vast and arent easily conveyed in every medium. Thats why, when people have a thirst for something, they find a way.

WhynefineT

Shit. The feeling is getting to me now. Can't believe it's over. If you guys are rewatching would you guys be doing it in discord?

DontFailArtSchoolEren

We will all laugh when League makes something even better than this

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Jinx is a broken person and will continue to cause problems wherever she goes because even after 2 seasons she couldnt be saved.

Pavlo

I agree with brig. I think zaun and piltover’s story is finished but we see Swain’s raven at the end 👀

WhynefineT

You dont understand that the best thing about arcane is the characters. Next series wont hit the same

DontFailArtSchoolEren

There's 169 characters in league of legends why cant the next series be better if it has better characters? Many other popular characters like Lux, Ahri, Morgana, Katarina, Akali, Ashe etc that people love from the game.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

When Arcane was announced, many people didnt care about these characters but the show still turned out great and can do the same with future series.

WhynefineT

Idk man. It just gonna feel like copy cat.

Chrissy

I don’t think jinx is dead. You see cait looking at the schematics and there was an air duct or something. I bet last second Vander pushed her into, saving her from the blast. Plus the blip thingy and “the end” in a classic jinx font. I think she lived and “walked away” as silco said.

Chrissy

I agree with this! I will say, I had no idea there was only gonna be 2 seasons. So I was living under a rock 😂 I felt disappointed because I just wanted to know so much more. But I guess some of the point is, this is one story in a huge world. After watching it myself and then taking some time and then coming and watching this reaction, I appreciate it so much more.

Chrissy

Also I think we got information overload as far as powers and what not. But if you think about it that happens in every show, except it stays with the same characters, where as this is gonna be the same world. So whatever the next project is, we have so much more information of the world we are living in.

Chrissy

My top 3 jinx, viktor and silco. Vi, ambessa and ekko runner ups!

ChrisBrah-4

The ending has little to nothing to do with league, don't try too hard to justify the rush to convenience because of 'champions' or 'league stuff' lol. It's just turned bad

ChrisBrah-4

I feel like them wanting to move on so they just get this show over with is an unacceptable excuse. This is the first and only show at hand that they were working on, it should undoubtedly be their absolute priority to give this finale their all, most especially when you consider, it has been running on 11/10 ratings since its first airing, and so anyone following is literally forced into expecting no less. And what we got, for the bar that was set in our minds for this show, was unacceptable and absolutely unsatisfactory. I pray for those who start this show, only for them to be met with an ending completely forsaken by the writers.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Carter talking about chat gpt writing different endings/continuations is hilarious. Dude, ao3 exists for a reason. I'm sure people are cooking some all-time masterpieces right now lmao

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Most of the plots besides the viktor/jayce will most likely be done in the future projects with other characters since its just melodrama and political infighting. Doesnt mean it cant be just as good if the writing is compelling and the characters are interesting.

Ameth

It's so sad cait lost jayce and vi lost jinx

Ameth

Warwick was what kept Viktor alive, not the other way around. You can remove Viktor from the equation and Warwick will go on, in theory

OoBeRoN Yordanov

i really dont agree with Carter's opinion on the show beeing a (beautiful mess), like i get that you guys didn't expect to be such a grand scale story (me2, btw). Everyone thought that the story is going to keep being in that small personal scale like s1, but the more i think about it am like, i dont think that there is that much to be done, in that small scale, sance of the story between jinx vs vi & cait. The whole conflict between jinx and vi was miss understanding in the end, they didint really hate each other it was ment for them to get back together. I think that they did an amazing job in that large scale endgame finally. I just this that Carter's expectations of the show for the season 2 were a bit off . And also about ekko, i really think that his arc is complete, i think that he got the best ending out of all of them ( story wise ), season 2 showed us that ekko is not that big of a player in the show ( he is,but at the same time he is not a main main character ). I was thinking the same thing about ACT 3 when i was watching it that was not as good as 1 and 2 but ep 9 Cookd so hard for me. IDK maybe everyone had extremely high expectations of the season, and that's fine but i think they did amazing job this season, dont get me wrong i think season 1 is 10/10 and s2 is 9.5 or 9,4 i think the show is still goated, and would not separate s1 from s2. Probably was better that they did 2 seasons, instead of 3, cuz i dont really think that there is that much to be told that dost feel like a ''filer'' or its not enough emotionally charged. Anyway enough yaping, i was just surprised that Carter didn't really like how the show ended, i mean you all said that you like it, buuut it dosnt feel like it, and thats fine,i just think that the reasons you guys said were a bit weard. AND BTW comparing arcane season 2 to GOT s6,s7 is is the craziest think i have ever herd, comparing this to the shit that GoT is after s4 is CRAZYy

Yeah this last act definitely brought my rating down to a 9. Why didn’t they switch episodes 7 and 8? Waiting a whole episode for the 2nd act conclusion was not it, the Jayce, Ekko and Heimendinger plot would’ve been perfect before episode 9. Then there’s the final war that’s been built up for 2 seasons, just messy. Jinx and Vi barely fought. No epic Warwick fight. Ambessa was peak, definitely needed more tho she’s done more chatting than boxing. And Heimendinger and Jinx’s deaths were just very underwhelming for 2 of my favorite… just the product of poor pacing, a beautiful mess indeed.

ep7 being before ep8 make total sense to. It serves the whole point of episode 7. Why would they give the conclusion and only then let you see that happy universe that makes you want to stop time and stay in that world. They give you ep 7 and then cut your hapiness top bring you back to reality and what's really going on in their universe. It served the rythm of the whole show just fine in my opinion. I never once expected the show to have them really fight until death but maybe I'm biased because I know league's lore since before Arcane. Warwick was cool I only wish we got a glimpse of the "final" warwick we have in game but I liked arcane version tho. I also completely agree with you on Jinx's death being very underwhelming BUT in my opinion this veeeeeery made on purpose considering a loooot of things in Arcane and actually in the ultimate edition of the artboot hint that she's stil alive . It's litteraly written "I LIVE" all over the box lol and the entire artbook is customed as if it was made by jinx like she took notes everywhere writing her thoughts in the book. It's a good death scene if she's alive, if she's confirmed dead later (which i very highly doubt) then I'll agree it was kinda meh. But as of now to me its a good death scene for a non-dead character. For heimerdinger death Yordle are supposed to be immortal so idk what they'll go for in the next shows but in league's lore there kind of immortal so same as jinx i doubt he's truly gone. Both mid death scene are for character that are probably not dead so to me it's definitely not a coincidence seeing how they nailed every other touching deaths scenes

Rocketboy

Fun fact: the "ultimate" edition of the arcane artbook comes in a huge box (to fit the statues) and the box and the artbook are full designed as if it was made by Jinx herself like she wrote her toughts and took note everywhere on every page. BUT WHAT DID SHE WROTE ON THE BOX? "I LIVE" "I live" is written many times on the box, Fortiche Studio proved us every single time (and manyyyy times) that details are not coincidences, something as big as that isn't random (even less random when you add all the details in the actual show hinting she's alive)

Valid, I definitely feel better about their “deaths” now… and about the episodes, 7 didn’t make me feel happy at all, just bittersweet and anxious to get back. Would’ve been able to appreciate it way more before the final war. 8 just felt out of place and my anger of Isha and Vander’s conclusion faded. That’s just me tho. Could also just be the poor pacing cuz everything got kicked to 10th gear when we returned episode 8. And yeah I was edged on the final Jinx and Vi fights… they just kept elevating as the series progressed just to be mid in the end. Fights aren’t the end all for this show tho so not too big a deal.

Something else I noticed on rewatch. Instead of shielding Cait from the bullet, Mel put a bubble shield around Maddie and THAT is why the bullet ricochet and hit her 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

Rahaf

I dont think vander pushed her, if you rewatch the explosion, right before it goes off you can see a flashing pink line which is how they draw jinx's fast motion with shimmer. I think she managed to escape and as you said, decided to walk away

the geks put arcane on my watch list, mainly because carter said it’s his goat and i know that man loved aot which is my goat so i was intrigued. but honest to god what made me actually stop what i was doing and put it on my tv was a satosugu edit that ripped my heart out 😭 thankful for the pain i suffered that day 😪

TheSauceGuy

I don't think the ending turned out bad at all; with just 9 episodes, I think they did the best that they could.

I finally finished Arcane maybe 2 days ago. I still have to watch the post discussion but, I was not a big fan of how quickly it ended. It wasn’t terrible, but the pacing towards the end was. It needed a few more episodes. 2-3 and I think it would have been perfect. Overall, I’m fine with the outcome. Still love arcane and there were some SICK moments this season! I really enjoyed it!

CoLdBITeR

I think it is similar to this, first season was like your mother's homemade pie, while the second was manufactured pie. You still enjoy the other pie and it hits technically all the boxes, but it is missing the love and warm feeling that your mother's has, and you can tell that your mother's pie was made by hand filling. (more care was put into it) while manufacturered pies are more about speed. (which the second season was said to be the final one all of a sudden, so they cramped too much half baked things into the second season)

Chrissy

Yea for sure. I think same difference. She isn’t dead.

GreetswithJudgement

I have it as my laptop background. It’s absolutely beautiful.
