Rhettoric

LETS GOOOO, early drop!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the end of this arc, Alabasta cooks

Jeff

Woop Woop 🙌

Lucas Chaves

u guus dont get how much i need severance

Don Carlo

Early One Piece is always a W

Brent Mahasi

Great reaction! It’s funny in early reactions people think zoro and sanji are far in strength when they are always shown to be relative

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Mosshead needs 3 swords and trains 24/7 only to be weaker than me 🤷🏼

Shaun V

I appreciate yall trynna be earlier with the one piece drops btw 🙏, doesn't go unnoticed

Zipzzty

LETS GOOOI

Zipzzty

Woop Woop

Zipzzty

Fr The Earlier the better thank u geks

Nash

Zipzzty

Fr Zoro stronger tho

Brent Mahasi

Oh for sure zoro wins but people make the gap between Sanji and zoro as close to like sanji and usopp (exaggerated but you get the gist)

Dasha

"I wanna go to space" lol very close

Mahti

yeah I appreciate this so much

Dasha

guarding the fridge from luffy is the ultimate training

Marcus D

In regards to Igarahm’s ‘survival’, the attack on him was done by Ms. All Sunday. Notice how out of the multiple time she’s come into contact with someone from the crew’s side, she’s never once fatally wounded any of them despite being capable. She’s helped luffy and even offered to help another time back with an eternal pose. The only reason Vivi has had hope to stop this take over is because Ms. All Sunday intentionally led her to discovering that Croc is Mr.0. So I think it’s less about Igarham being a tank and more about Ms. All Sunday not intending to kill him.

Shaun V

Also Geks cut Jack some slack, I promise sometimes he isn't being a hindsight merchant and just genuinely can't remember haha. Like One Piece is my favourite show and I've even rewatched a ton but it's impossible to remember all small things or plot points. Like I only realised it was Bon Clay disguised as Usopp when Carter pointed it out lmao, and I promise Jacks comment of how "he'd get there so fast" wasn't cleverly hinting at the reveal but just a genuine thought that any of us would have while watching it haha. There's actually so surprisingly much I remember out of 1000+ episodes but also so much I don't because it is IMPOSSIBLE.

Marcus D

😂 true to your name, I respect it

Toska Water

What I miss about the earlier arcs is that Zoro and Sanji used to be a bit more strategic.

Marcus D

Yeah, I did not remember zoro being the one to come up with the imposter proof plan and I pride myself on remembering one piece moments lol.

Apex

Once again gonna recommend mobile suit gundam: iron blooded orphans. Carter saying he’s a space merchant, I know he’d love it. Please add it to next anime poll. It won’t win but you guys gotta watch it eventually.

Amare D.

y'all are 18 eps away till arc ends.

Betsy

I think you all would also enjoy The Promised Neverland. It's kind of an underrated anime but I really enjoyed it :)

ScreenWise

This is part of the one piece journey, luffy maturing as a pirate and captain. Realizing the world has people that are stronger “right now” and that if he wants to protect the ones he loves while pursuing his dream he has to get stronger. Love the reactions guys. Happy 2025!

jessiefungirl

praying it'll be on the code geass poll

Betsy

Me too! It's so good!

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

Thank you for the reaction!! McKay actually makes me laugh because all the weird shennanigans that happen seem to amuse him greatly. Like how Mr 2 just flipped his way up and it looks weird af, like what just happened?! yet it still makes him laugh. The way all you guys genuinely enjoy One Piece has been my favorite thing about your reaction.

Harrison Hird

remember that miss all sunday whos saves luffys life was also the one who supposedly "killed" igaram

kivu_king

i wouldn't get too caught up with the "no one dies" trope, it will just ruin your enjoyment. not every show needs to be like aot or jjk with unexpected deaths and mass civilian casualties for the stakes to be high. one piece has its own thing and its nice

Sloth

As a huge Gundam fan that's a decent one, but I don't think it's right to start watching Gundam without watching Wing or Mobile Suit Gundam first. I think Wing is the best for non-gundam viewers, but the OG is still good if you are understanding that it was animated in the late 70s. It really shows the overall political plot behind most Gundam series and the pain of both the people from Earth and the Colonies.

Betsy

Hi everyone. Sorry don't mind me. I'm just here waiting for Mob Psycho 100. Lol

Toska Water

You guys should say at the end of every arc or saga if your favorite pirate is still the same, your favorite arc, and who you think the best villain is so far. It would be fun to see how your opinion changes over time. I'm curious to find out who would be your favorite warlord and marine in the future as well.

TT1000

My fav arc has yet to come. I like the Arabasta arc but …. Water 7, and Enies lobby… so good

Zipzzty

Those are t5 for sure

Zipzzty

Good idea hopefully they see this

Zipzzty

W Mob psycho is goated

Zipzzty

I really enjoyed season 1 what they did to season 2 was dirty

Betsy

Indeed. I'm curious to see the geks reaction to my boy Mob.

Zipzzty

The Goat Ep of this arc is coming soon 2 weeks left

Zipzzty

Let’s gooooo

Betsy

Yeah season 2 was a disappointment. But I loved season as well.

Marcus D

Mob psycho is goated but also read/watch one piece 🙂

Marcus D

SW saga is my favourite

Betsy

It's bad but I haven't really gotten into One Piece yet. With it being long, it kind of intimidates me. But I watch the movies. I feel like a cheater lol 😭

Ante

They cut the reaction to "mamama" guy surviving LMAO. Damn was the crash out that bad? I was looking forward to it lol.

Aden

I can’t wait for shippuden tomorrow

kei hishaku

there is no promised neverland season 2 in ba sing se

Marcus D

Once you get warmed up to one piece, you’ll wish there’s more episodes, it happens with everyone every time lol. The movies are mostly non canon so not a big deal, still cool that you even gave those a go, but the main series is the real deal.

Betsy

I could see that :) Yeah I need to check out One Piece sometime. It's such an OG anime with epic adventures and loyal friends. And thanks, glad I'm not a cheating then lol

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

Tbh, you shouldn’t have said it was Gol D Roger, Jack. There’s a reason it was changed to Gold Roger. Should’ve let them find out by themselves 🥲

wanira 11

Bro it's already been revealed at the end of drum island remember?

Brig Andrus

You’re right I shoulda expected mamama to tank that nuke

Brig Andrus

One piece and Naruto are cooking rn 🥹😭🙏🏼

S

The last scene we see of Dr. Kureha, she mentions Gol D. Roger to Dalton as they look at Luffy's wanted poster. Dalton goes: "D? You mean Gold Roger?" Kureha says "Oh, is that what they're calling him these days?"

Micah Seer

Wow, I haven’t rewatched this show in forever and I have to admit, after rewatching Naruto and One Piece with the Geks this time around One Piece clears Naruto. The writing is just so much better and I’ve been a Naruto guy my whole life up until the last few years

Micah Seer

After 200 episodes of mid we have finally arrived 🤩

S

Nah Brig but at the explosion scene you commented that it didn't make sense that Miss All Sunday could blow the boat up with just her arm powers. Now we can assume she probably was saving him/pulling him out of the blast instead, right?

saDbo

Tbh it's a fair complaint to have, most of us have a problem with this but with Igaram I'm willing to accept it because it gives us insight on miss allsunday's true character

KrispyKenny

idk if they will ever figure this out but they never really saw Igaram die and Robin was supposedly the one who killed him (same Robin that saved Luffy) so it's pretty easy to figure out that Robin didn't really kill Igaram... there's a reason they showed Robin saving Luffy before Igaram reappeared

Niffol

please keep the "haku" meme going. I can see Jack internalizing everytime he hears it. lol

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

Oooooh right, that does ring a bell!!! I take it back then 👀 Sorry Jack! Proceed 😂

Hector

Mister 1 and Zoro fight its so iconic

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

YOO does anyone know what the OST at 37:18 is called??? I’ve been looking for it for FOREVER and i could never find it 😭 its such an iconic one

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Karoo proving once again he is the GOAT

sil 🧸ྀི

op thursday oh how i love these days let me watch this reactionnnnn and i'll be back with another comment lmao <3

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

You admitted that in every comment you post here. Every comment is how mid Naruto is and how it disappointed you on a rewatch

Ante

I doubt they just want people to die for the 'heck of it'. Igarams death was bait, and some people dont like that. it is what it is.

Micah Seer

Yeah sorry you’re right. Naruto used to be my favorite up until a few years ago, so I’m still passionate about it but this rewatch of Naruto has disappointed me even more. Whereas I haven’t watched one piece in like a decade and it’s been surprisingly great.

KrispyKenny

i mean I get it but what's the point of always wanting people to die when they know and have seen so many other Shounen anime where editors literally have a limitation on named character deaths. No named humans in One Punch Man ever died, only monsters, and yet every 2 minutes they wish for the chracters in one piece would die off so much they had to cut a whole segment out of the reaction. pretty nuts but more engagement for their youtube comment section i guess

DonDuh103

Ya jack also didn’t mention a certain thing being involved you should just be careful what you say even if they mention something important never mention something in the comments that gives things away. One piece always gets into more detail later oda does crumbs of a bunch of stuff your not really suppose to remember till later

Zipzzty

WHO AND WHAT IS THE D

DonDuh103

One piece is cooking, also for your sake Jack if anyone the other gek boys forgot something important it’s ok not to explain/remind them cause it will always make sense/click for them later even some of the most obvious things are hard to catch because oda floods the story with so much detail/information. That way none of the geks boys think your spoiling even tho you haven’t done that since GOT.

JayCnY

yeah just enjoy the show knowing theres no risk and nothing is permanent come on!

Crystal

Lol 😂 i hate when people do this

Crystal

Average W Micah take 👌

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

@crystal right?? So unnecessary. Theres only two uploads of that OST on yt and literally ALL the comments are saying how difficult this song was to find and how long theyve been looking for it 😂 and this guys like “a SIMPLE goodle search 💅🏼” 😅

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

I kinda dislike that they've written it as 'aLabasta' in english, rather than the japanese spelling aRabasta. Its clearly a very ARABic inspired kingdom, the style of the buildings, the peoples clothing, the Egypt references (yes, old egypt obviously wasnt arabic, but it is now), so it being written as aRabasta makes way more sense

Seda

notice how miss all sunday didn’t finish off pell when she easily could have, saved luffy after his fight, failed to mention sanji to crocodile when she literally saw him on the boat, offered the crew a faster way to alabasta back at whiskey peak, and now we know that igaram isn't dead. so we know that she isn’t completely with crocodile and has her own agenda

Poragami

have we? what arc are we on

sil 🧸ྀི

i will never tire of saying that oda's mind is a gift to us because one piece is THE BEST the very best

Storm

Writing? Ight bro agree to disagree but I do admit early one piece does have better pacing. Keep the same energy down the line tho🫡

Mahti

Mosshead no diffs curly brows

Natacha

yes it does have a lot of inspiration from arabic countries/cultures but also the alubarna palace looks like the Taj Mahal in India

Micah Seer

About to finish the shikamaru arc

Micah Seer

Oh absolutely writing. Just wait for tomorrows upload if they end up doing 5 episodes how that fight ends. I guarantee the boys dislike it because of how poorly it’s written.

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

Yeah true, one piece likes to mix n match everything haha, just like dressrosa being barcelona and then just an “italian building” in it 😂

Marcus D

2 of the big 3 for a reason 💪🔥🙏

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

That fight is poorly written? It's is miles better than any One Piece fight we've seen so far, so stop disguising yourself as a Naruto fan if you're going to hate on even that arc 😮‍💨

Crystal

I bet it took him mad long to find it too and he’s just trying to be cool🥱

Micah Seer

What happened to your comment about agree to disagree? The fights in one piece suck. Considerably the worst part of the show. It doesn’t make me a Naruto fan “poser” to acknowledge its flaws,I still love parts of it hence my pfp but even still I already apologized for the over criticism. It’s not “hate” to criticize something and I never even specified that arc I said the end of the fight. This is a weird argument for no reason

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

Agree to disagree still stands but I genuinely wanted to know why that arc is poorly written

Murasaki

@Christina Laegel also my favorite :D

Murasaki

Probably AI soldiers AI ducks lol

Braylen

The way my blood temp slightly started rising after “a simple google search” like

Conk

nah

cade-carter

Karoo never did anything to be hated... so undeserved

ahmad

Completely fine to criticise it, most real one piece fans will agree with you about it lol

N P

I forgot how good the ending song for this arc was, I've been listening to it pretty much every day lol

Qhoa

W

Betty H

Zoro cooked with that two-factor authorization

Murasaki

I’m also very hyped for Sabaody.

Murasaki

@storm what a weird comment you are saying like writing is all abt pacing.

Murasaki

Ngl it's a fair critism for early one piece. Someone even asked Oda why no one dies and Oda explained in SBS.

Sandi uchiha

maybe dont spell things out for them and have them come to their own conclusions.

Seda

i don’t think i said or spoiled anything that hasn’t already been shown soo i don’t really see the issue🤷🏻‍♀️the comments are where you share your thoughts and discuss and that’s all i was doing

Sandi uchiha

I just feel like it’s a little hindsight merchant-y. My own opinion tho. You do you, ig

Sun

Wow McKay's deductive skills on point here 👏

Zess

What section are you referring to?

Crystal

Lol 😂

Seda

when i notice something i missed while rewatching i try to only share what i think isn’t that big a deal but i get it and i’ll try not to - anyway peace and love🫶

AV

McKay might be enjoying OP more than Carter and Cannon now.

AV

The problem is that he points out those tiny details as it's happening or right before anyone else realizes it. When the conclusion of the setup is reached, then would be a good time to remind them of all the set up Oda did for that plot thread. If you point out all the small clues before the reveal, it just makes the conclusion obvious and the payoff underwhelming. It's like saying, "ohh he didn't get crushed by the Female Titan, i wonder why that is." I guarantee you they wouldn't have enjoyed AOT as much as they did if he made those comments during their watch of the show. Technically it's not spoiling but it sure as hell decreases their enjoyment of the show.

CoLdBITeR

"how has she not been trampled-- there it is" 😂 There is a tendency of anime shows interrupting brig, just as he mentions it.

CoLdBITeR

Poor McKay, not getting any credit from the geks for catching onto it being Mr. 2 before even Carter realizing "that bird" moment.

Matt Haloostock

One Piece is great for a lot of reasons - the little jokes and interactions being one of them. It's nice to see that McKay appreciates it since some of the jokes seem to go unnoticed or maybe its just not their type of humor. Some things are a miss even for me, but as another guy commented, how has no one commented on choppers way of hiding? lol

Matt Haloostock

Wait a minute, if Carter is a space merchant, how have they not watched Cowboy Bebop yet? It's a little old school but it's also regarded as a top anime.

1999

Partly Oda’s fault because when he initially introduced the region in the manga he called it Alabasta the first 2 times. And now there’s a debate in the fandom over what the true spelling is 😂 The argument for it being Alabasta is that Egyptians used a mineral called Alabaster to make some artifacts. Something interesting I learned is that the Japanese “R” sound is similar to the English “L” sound so it is hard for native Japanese speakers to distinguish between the two. In some translations Zoro is written as Zolo. And some early translations of Luffy’s name had it written as Ruffy.

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

Ohh i didnt know about the mineral thing 👀 and yeah, there is no L in japanese alphabets, only ra/re/ru/ro/ri and thats closest to it sound wise, similar to how there’s no “si”, only “shi” so ‘system’ would be ‘shi-su-te-mu’

Marcos

He legit falls in love with the weird parts of one piece. Like bon clay who is queer hahahaha

Marcos

Question for the geks!?!?!? Any more anime opening reactions?

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I would love if they had a reaction to the openings once the season or arc (for animes like One Piece and Naruto) was over.

E L

I love it

E L

Take note jack

E L

I’m laughing how @brig called him mamama instead of igaram 🤣🤣🤣

DonDuh103

Ya I agree and we not hating or anything on Jack he the goat for pushing for the One Piece reactions. I just want them to enjoy the show and I know like Jack and the most of us we want to just explain things as soon as we notice little details that for shadow or hint to something. Jacks the goat regardless so thank you!

Mitchel

The next arc has one the best settings.

Keiji

There is no L but the R sounds in Japanese sound between R and L and is used for both. That makes it annoying for translating to other languages and figuring out if it’s supposed to be an L or an R.

Isaiah

Brigs gotta start getting his respect lmaoo hes dialed on every show I swear

McKay Carter

Thanks for catching that haha

Jack

Nahhhhh I caught it first…..

CoLdBITeR

Lmaooo I'm sure it has nothing to do with prior knowledge, Jack. And no worries McKay, gotta give credit where it's due. 👍

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

I hope they don’t skip the lil “filler” after Skypiea cuz its so funny and actually pretty good 😭 didn’t feel like filler at alll

Marcus D

D. Friends we made along the way

Ulises Flores(Uliee.)

Day 1 of asking the Geks to add one more episode per drop. Like if you agree.

Marcos

3 episodes a drop would be legendary!!!!!!!! Would feel more engaging since it would feel like binging.

JD Galbraith

Do people die in this show? Ummm…..yeah

Mahti

4 episodes a week is painfully slow, give me 6 and I'll pay whatever

esie ♡︎

McKay saying Usopp has been growing on him, let’s go 💪

Veronia

I shall now only be calling him mamama🤣🤣

ace

I just rewatched your reaction to The Breathtaking World of One Piece and I would love to see you guys react to it again some day, I can’t imagine how good it would be to see you guys watch it again now that you would recognize some places and maybe some characters and now that you understand how the world works a little better

Mitch

Sadly it’s prob my biggest criticism with the series.

Seda

i know there weren't many saturday op drops but seeing it get taken off the schedule still hurts😭hopefully there'll be some bigger ep drops soon

KrispyKenny

i dont think there was a single saturday op drop, just the extra ep they did on thursday one time for the chopper backstory. not to mention the 4 eps we missed during holidays, got serious withdrawals rn

Seda

damn i thought they did one or two drops when they first started watching but i guess i remembered wrong lol and seriously, waiting for today’s post has been torturee

kobehoneylyn

Four episodes a week of OP are just not enough for me. I just can't. I'm not saying you guys are the problem; I'm saying I am the problem. Best of luck to your channel. I'm out.

Mahti

I've been considering leaving and coming back every couple of months to catch up on the One Piece reactions for the same reason. Two episodes at a time just never makes me fully satisfied. Same thing with 1 episode of Mob at a time

april 🍏

Karoo is my goat and I mean that

Ghedo

just quit for a vew months and then come back, thats how ive been handling it, let them bulk up a few arcs and binge them afterwards
