Marcos

Time for mr prince!!!!

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

At some point while watching One Piece you wonder: what tf am I watching

Marcos

Same here gotta get them gains first haha

Lucas Chaves

u guys just hate severance at this point 😿

E L

Give it to us geks 🥹

Shaun V

Ngl all the things that piss you guys off in general about where one piece is now, like elements of these two fights or stupid cartoonish plot points that aren't really funny but just take away from the validity of the plot, also pissed me off so much when I was first watching these episodes haha. Even whenever one of these things come up and I can see some of you guys getting annoyed or rolling your eyes, it reminds me exactly of my experience haha. I wanted more seriousness from the story and it's topics, the fights, the villains, the main characters. Or at least more consistency with the plot's overall scaling and logic used in the show, and less of some of these not that funny, pretty annoying, overdone gag moments like when Luffy gets his feet stuck fighting arlong. I guess why I'm writing this is because I think I'm such a similar person to what a lot of you are looking for and wanting in this show right now Geks. And I just want to say all these things I was looking for I did get! So bear with it guys haha I promise its worth it. Pretty soon Oda really comes in to his own with the writing and the verse itself. There will so many serious topics, character moments, plotlines, villains, amazing fights, and less of all the things that take away from these. It's easy for everyone that's watched one piece, including me to look back and now enjoy these episodes because I've gotten my fulfilment of all the wonderful things I so desperately wanted this show to do more of, but I just want to say I do get that frustration some of you are feeling haha. But trust the process, it was so sudden and unexpected I went from being annoyed by this show to it being my favourite oat, I couldn't tell you when the change happened.

Dreamknight942

Yaaaay OP. Also I don’t know why, but the way Chopper says manju is the cutest.

Dreamknight942

Yeah totally this. Now don’t get me wrong, One piece will always be and has always been goofy. And I think that is a strength and sometimes a weakness. But Oda definitely comes into his own with more serious plot points. And I think his strength (alongside world building) is the juxtaposition of deeper points and stories into the goofiness. He does it well :)

Zipzzty

They’re gonna love the Zoro Fight

Zipzzty

Peak Pfp Spoilers Below NEWEST CHAPTER ⬇️ He Cooked with his quote if u have seen the leaks

Man Lit

Waiting for Mob!

Shaun V

Yeah facts, don't get me wrong the craziesness and insanity Oda cooks into the stories is definitely one of the reasons One Piece is so popular and beloved, but yeah he definitely gets so much better at incorporating a goofy aspect and moments into a better grounded verse where there's certain things it feels like he's not willing to compromise about the story and worldbuilding just for wackiness or a cheap laugh.

Chrisiyyi

Its just that people have different preferences, some dont like it, others do, in the end it does not mean its bad in general, it might just not be the vibe the person is into. I love alot of the humor in early OP and am not bothered by it in 'serious moments' i actually like that about OP'. but i can understand that its not for everyone. Humor is always different for people. For me It would be different if this was just randomly in a show that is meant to be serious but OP has always been a cartoonish show with alot of over the top stuff and when i watch it i just expect that. But like you said it gets more serious stuff in later arcs which i think the boys love.

Lala

YEAHHHH Thank you for the early update! You made my day!

kei hishaku

holy shit i havent rewatched alabasta since my first watch in 2018 i forgot how slow and annoying it could be sometimes. There is no reason this fight should be more than 1 episode. toei count your mf days

Wickerx Nanana

Uploadly reminder guys that we're another step closer to water 7 arc :)

John D. Acebes

These eps def on the weaker side admittedly. Not a fan of simp sanji or tank usopp. But those moments aren't what makes Alabasta goated. Looking forward to yall finishing this arc and thoughts

Zipzzty

Next week we’re getting Peak

Coreneelia

usopps entire skull cracking is crazy 😭

Mitch

Man I really disagree with a lot of the comments hating on the usopp fight. Maybe this is a very minor spoiler but I think it’s one of his better moments/showings in the entire series. It’s creative it’s brutal and it’s only an episode and a half long.

Dasha

imagine watching this sanji fight and deciding to title the episode 'THE OUTRO SONG IS BUSSIN' even though they heard it a dozen times before😂 😂

Rhettoric

Oda’s cooking fr

DonDuh103

next 2 episodes are good but also a lil weird and slow. Give us Zoro!

Rhettoric

Great perspective that I think a lot of us probably identify with. Great comment

Rhettoric

I agree. Usopp acknowledging Luffy as the future King of the Pirates and standing on business in front of two officer agents is great character growth. If someone told me back in Whiskey Peak that Usopp would do this, I would have a hard time believing them

Dasha

btw it may be too early, but hope you guys see this comment. please don't read the title of episode 130 because it's a big spoiler for the episode

T.Yaseen

Usopp tanking those hits is wild Lmaooo

Toska Water

Yeah, Oda has a thing for characters losing their teeth and arms. Nami's early design was a prosthetic arm, and her main weapon was a giant axe. Sanji's main weapons were a gun in each hand, and his hair was darker in his early designs.

Jude

I love that Usopp a coward that was willing to run stood his ground and locked in when they started making fun of Luffy and his dream.

#1diavolofan

I’m glad I read op instead… the anime is extra goofy sometimes 😭

Mysterious Figure

Cant Believe you guys arent watching the new season of Castlevania. Some of the best animation we will see this year will be in this show. It is also some of the eeriest but cozy warm vampire atmosphere shows out there. Also some extremely talented western actor talent in that show. You guys really messed up by not putting Castlevania on your schedule. And also, Cannon... you promised...💀 Im gonna start calling you the walking dead. 😂👌

Nic ☦︎

look I respect everyones opinion but saying alabasta has some of the best fights in the whole show is setting the expectations to the absolute lowest lmao. idk if these ppl are only 200 eps in or not but still. SPOILERS:

bobqueen16

i wonder how many cigarettes sanji has lit through the course of the show

mako

bro delete this wtf they are barely 100 episodes in

E L

😒

Mitchel

The Prophet Go D Ussop has spoken.

Ari

thanks

Ari

next fights I LOVE

Ari

Skypiea comes before W7 tho, but yea can't wait for them to reach one of the best arcs

Dasha

Idk how many he lit but in manga he smoked 203 cigarettes before TS and 114 after (317 total). The number is not 100% accurate because it’s not always clear if he smokes the same cigarette or a new one

Ari

It was the same for me, the Alabasta arc only gets good toward the end. And OP doesn't really hit its peak until W7. I'm 600 episodes in now and enjoying every bit of it

Dasha

this data is for chapters 43-1095

GreetswithJudgement

This! About to binge the second season now. Castlevania is so damn good, so underrated and I can’t wait till the Geks watch it! They have my subscription until then. And Black Sails. And Vikings. So possibly forever. But I’ll take it a step further, they’ll be saving the best for last.

Nic ☦︎

This is not a spoiler…

Crogadile

delete doofus - adding spoilers regardless of the tag is NOT what we do here. Let them formulate their own opinions you weirdo

Spoons

Ussop’s speech about Luffy is so underrated in this episode. One of the first times we see that sort of respect/dedication from the crew.

kyle

need the last 2 eps of severance expeditiously 😫😫

Mahti

relatable, love the manga so much but the anime can be pretty unbearable sometimes, mostly with filler, unnecessarily slow pacing (especially in fight scenes) and poorly animated fight scenes with outdated sound design that often doesn't even match what is happening on screen making it misleading. Cant wait for the One Piece remake to hopefully give justice to this masterpiece of a manga.

Hansen

this is the Alabasta I remember and why I wanted one pace smh

Mr. John Kagurabachi

It’ll take 7 months to reach the GOAT arc. (Ep 230) It could be 4 months if yall do 6 episodes a week 🙏

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Yall really hate Sanji 😭 Sanji is usually people’s 2nd, 3rd, or 4th favorite character (via official popularity polls)

studiogek

Don't rope me in with that I dont hate him lol

studiogek

Blame jack he does the one piece vids lol

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Mr. 2 turns into Nami. (Timestamp - 16:52 ) Carter: 😂 Everyone else: 😒🤬🫥🙄

Vega

Literally. There is so much more to appreciate in regards to that fight than the choreography of the fight or what Usopp can and cant do. We already know he is a weakly, but the determination and willingness to put his body and life on the line for his crew and his belief in Luffy is how he is able to make his mark in the moment; while chopper does the heavy lifting.

Niffol

The saving grace of One piece growing on new fans is that they at least don't pretend the character designs are perfect. most of the mains are good, but if you are a supporting or worse no name character, you are getting hit with the random character generator.

Niffol

"He's not the worst." He just got done starting a coup which has resulted in who knows how many deaths. chill guy tho.

Marcus D

Miss translation of Chaka’s words. He didn’t say “you’re beautiful”, he says “you have a good face”. He’s probably referring to her having a good look/showing determination, resolve, hope etc. Implying that the straw hats have been good for her, hence why he says he wants to hold a banquet for them.

Nashi

Guys, I'm recapping on Severance watching with yall, we're 2 eps short and it starts tomorrow. My day is ruined and I will be suing you

E L

Knew jack’s a hater 🤨 he’s a zolo fan after all

Sandi uchiha

Nah one piece is meant to be watched at whatever pace you want. Enjoy the ride

Sandi uchiha

Here to rot my brain w anime after a long ass shift 😩😩😩😩 leave my husband, sanji, alone

Lydia

💀💀💀

Lydia

It’s already out btw lol

Nashi

I'm really gonna have to rewatch the last eps alone huh

Ulises Flores(Uliee.)

Day 3️⃣ of asking the geks to add another episode per drop, if you agree smash the like button.

E L

Lets campaign for castlevania next

E L

Carter’s the only I trust on that couch. Jack’s a rat Edit: cannon’s 50/50

Benjamin Knock

I believe theyre trying to keep it on pace with naruto (weekly 4 episodes vs twice weekly 2 episodes)

Dasha

imagine one piece is sanji’s lungs, zoro’s liver and luffy’s stomach

Ulises Flores(Uliee.)

My counter that would be that they will finish naruto when they probably almost half way through one piece and thats only to catch up to current one piece, since episodes are still coming out.

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

Thanks for the info. I went to look it up. Nami with the prosthetic arm and axe is a sick look.

KrispyKenny

@Benjamin they already did 200 eps of og naruto before starting one piece

KrispyKenny

Jack if you know what's coming I highly recommend doing 3 eps next drop, 119 deserves it's own outro

E L

You are so real mckay for liking mr. 2

wanira 11

Goated comment, really well put

jrnoodles

Thanks! A little camaraderie.

Mauricio.

Jack pls, push for a 3 episodes drop on tuesday! 119 deserves its flowers and it would be peak studio gek moment.

Mariam.03

I think they will switch to one pace for Skypiea so It’ll take less than 7 months

Dasha

OP / mob psycho upload right now would be so nice.... I'm reloading the patreon homepage every 5 mins helpppp

Mitch

Praying for the earlier than 2am drop 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Dasha

btw anyone knows what is their timezone?

Rhettoric

I’m pretty sure they’ve mentioned they’re from Utah, which would be Mountain Time (2 hrs behind EST). Not sure if they still live in Utah though

Dasha

oh ok thanks!

Rhettoric

I’m all here for McKay and his Mr. 2 love. Bon Clay is, in fact, the GOAT‼️🦢🩰

april 🍏

15:14 dam they really gave us time to reflect lmao

Ser Dunk the Tall

18:01 they always talk about how they need "more Ace!" this arc and yet they skip his filler arc. Some of the filler arcs in One Piece like the rebel soldiers and G-8 are some of the best parts of the show for me. (Gives that character growth, deepens the friendships)

Liza

lol your guys jaw dropped after seeing Usopp got hit by the bat

Liza

this one piece outro is a vibe and I'm glad to see you guys like it too
