😔 You can try to binge ( 2-3 episodes more than usual) when things get really heated in some arcs ( like Pain arc in Naruto, best arc in the whole show), but you don't have to post it. Post regular number of episodes and watch more if you have time.

I understand what Jackson meant during that conversation about the One Piece. We already know a lot about what we will eventually learn when it is found, and we are aware of some 'prophecies' regarding what will happen narratively afterward. While the physical nature of the One Piece remains unknown, as fans, we understand the significance that finding or discovering it will have on the world. but if jackson has an actual theory of what the one piece PHYSICALLY is, id be intrigued to hear it from him, in maybe a spoiler thread or something.

I feel like Jack is too much of a One Piece apologist and feels he has to add info or pre-explain stuff more than he should be. It's ok to just let it breathe, we're happy they're watching too but I'd say less is more from people that already know the show unless they are asking something that is minor to answer. Or like ask questions but keep them vague and don't respond to their answers. Like you can start a conversation (example: Mihawk V Crocodile) but don't engage in it. Just my opinion, not hating.

I would say pacing definitely slowed down. Stuff lingered longer than it should have, or things were restated more than they needed to be. Also some flashbacks thrown in lightly here and there and it's definitely fine but slower than it's been

Yeah OP manga is arguably the best manga ever. I feel like remake is going to be peak but some people will be disappointed about some cut out scenes. Like in FMI remake they cut out one of the funniest conversations ever lol. Anyway I can’t wait to see the remake too!

As an anime only watcher, with everything going on in the show before the break, there are so many big things I'm concerned with beyond the One Piece. I'm curious for sure, but I'm so curious about so many other things that I feel like it's guaranteed to have a a lot of highs at the end even if it doesn't hit all of them perfectly

I had the same thought when I started this series “It’s bound to be disappointing” but realised how well planned this story is as as the story unfolds. One Piece goes on strong. It’s been planned from the end not the start. Its layers upon layers as u go through u question how on earth did one person write this and manage to connect everything so well

Jack was trying to explain that this story is very well planned that mysteries all connect. As the story unfolds, crazy revelations recontextulise prior plot points and weave together the narrative expanding world into greater depths & u realise the intention behind everything. One Piece lore and world building is unlike any other. It’s the main strong point of this series - not the fights the story itself. That’s why it keeps getting better and better and is the massive success that it is. It truly lives up to its reputation you’ll see :)

honestly, no ending will be good enough. we all have our expectations, and they may not all be met. one piece has built up for over 2 decades, and there are so many threads in play. it's interesting rewatching because you can see those threads but do not know where they go. you guys understand since you are rewatching aot. you get to see things you were not aware of before.

I doubt this rumor. There are a lot of hints and foreshadowing in early chapters, like "raftel", Oda played with the Japanese characters in the begining of the series, no one knows what it means, and 1000 chapters later, iykyk, its one of the most satisfing revealing. I watched one video by Ohara, acturally Oda put a lot of hints in drawing and the use of Japanese characters which are difficult to notice. The new chapter released further proved that he planned everything early on. I feel that actually it could be he draws the picture in the new chapter at the very beginging of the series and then elaborated it. Thats why we viewers feel everything planned and well connected.

It’s not a rumour he talked about it in an interview, but it’s not really that he hates it. He just likes subverting and surprising his viewers, so if he’s seen a bunch of the public guess some plot points, he would sometimes change it. Don’t worry though he won’t change the main points he wants to tell. He also said something along the lines of that he used to look at fan theories online. But because all of the hardcore theorists occasionally guessing his big plot reveals he felt the need to one up his original plans, so he stopped looking at them and focused on aiming his writing at casual readers who would still be shocked, and that it is what it is if the dedicated theorists predicted them.

The thing about Oda hes said it before and keeps saying until this day, Oda is going to write the story how he wants and hes going to end to his liking he doesnt get swayed much by anybody. Is just so happens that everything that hes done thus far resonates with the fan base. Dont get me wrong theres some plot holes and things the fan base disagrees with but thats what happens when you been writing a such complex story for 25 years.

hey jack, watching you react to the boys is so funny to me because you are saying the same thing i would want to say. especially your facial expressions. having watched one piece like you, i can kinda guess what you are thinking when the boys say something. sometimes they tend to have a bad reaction to something on screen and i can see you immediately go to defend it. i get it because i feel the same way. i think you should let them say something bad without correcting them or always defending it right away. its hard to watch one piece again without thinking about what you already know. (not talking about spoiling though. the boys give you a hard time for one word you said, if it ends up being right. even though that might be the most logical answer. watching it for the first time.) but just your opinions on characters, knowing there backstory. knowing when it gets good and bad in the arcs, anything like that. you dont know anything about that the first time watching, so i think it definitely affects their watch. its not that big a deal but i like hearing what the other 4 come up with on their own. its super cool when they get to the ideas on their own, without a comment or two from you. there is so much to talk about in the episodes, that i think you avoid saying some stuff. but also i love hearing your opinions too about one piece. its gotta be so hard being the only one whose watched, especially for one piece. i cant imagine. i hate spoilers, but thats just for myself. i guess thats why i care about this. but when it comes to haku, theres nothing you can do about that. youll just have to deal with it lol. sorry for the paragraph. just thinking about this. feel free to disregard. love the reacts, boys. my favorite reactors on youtube. keep it up.

The difference is I think Brig & McKay just shout out random names with no context for time to time but you were asking a specific question of when certain characters would show up that have only been slightly mentioned in the show thus far. Characters that the geks presume to be dead or the story/dialogue has show cased them no longer being present. You weren't directly spoiling anything but if one of the geks were to read it, they may have drawn assumptions that would have slightly spoiled their experience. As for Brig & McKay, I don't watch all the one piece uploads so I don't know if this is the case. But if what they’re also doing is similar & possibly ruining the experience for the other geks, your comment is completely fair.

jack struggling to share his thoughts pertaining to what the one piece might be without spoiling is so real lmaoo it's so hard to say anything at this point since the show and the audience are supposed to think of it in a basic though process of it being a treasure so saying anything even hypothesizing might be considered a spoiler even though we ourselves have no idea what it is at all except that it is something tangible and not he friends we made along the way. all theories might alter the way y'all think about the one piece so it might be best not to dwell on it too much until the show shift its focus on it

Please, guys, I beg you not to watch One Pace for the next arc just yet. You really only need One Pace from around episode 500 onwards. The reason is that, from that point on, many episodes adapt only one manga chapter or sometimes even just half a chapter per anime episode. For example, you might see random people running or looking shocked for five minutes straight, which is why One Pace becomes so necessary. In contrast, earlier episodes often covered 4–5 chapters at a time. So, you really don’t need to watch the entire next arc in One Pace, especially since it’s a very important arc for the story.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree that the original anime is the best way to watch the first half of the show…but when you’re only watching 4 episodes a week, I think it’s a toss up. I used arc instead of saga in my comment but to be fair, One Pace detracts nothing from the episodes you mentioned imo. But yeah, the next arc per se doesn’t really need One Pace because it’s on the shorter side, but I don’t think using it would detract from the experience. Honestly, if we stick to this same schedule of 4 episodes a week, I would argue it will enhance it for them. In the end, I trust Jack, so whatever he decides, I’m cool with

People are only asking for one pace next saga because it’ll help you get through the content faster as you are only doing 4 episodes a week. The pacing for the pre time skip is fine, using one pace now will be more of a disservice than service to your watching experience. The commenters are just impatient. You’d get way less suggestions for one pace right now if you did more than 4 eps p/w(not suggesting you should). Also the boys already know about a time skip so don’t worry.

Building off the Game of Thrones mention at the end, I think that part of the reason that I and many others hate season 7 and 8 is because the story was so poorly written. If George wanted to do some of the same themes like Dany going mad and the white walkers aren't the final bad guys, it would be better accepted as long as it is still congruent with everything else that is happening. D and D had no idea how to create their own mysterious and compelling. Although I would definitely still hate if Arya kills the Night King (especially with a knife trick while jumping past a bunch of white walkers).

This is an uneducated take, the One Pace team does a crazy good job with their edits. It's to the point where most episodes, you can't tell there was any editing at all, even with the music! Plus, each arc gets multiple passthroughs to fine tune them. The first revision of an arc you can tell where edits are sometimes, but by the time it's completely finished, you'd have no idea.
