Season 2 is going to be diabolical

Betsy

Let the games begin. 🔥

‎

I enjoyed season 2 so much than s1. I literally binged all the way through while s1 was tough to binge

Qhoa

W

Dragi

New decorations look fire 🔥

Cannon Andrus

Can’t wait to get further in to this season

Lydia

Helped deliver a baby today in clinicals and now ending the day watching AIB with the Geks 😬 pretty peak dayyy

ainsley

SEASON 2 IS SO FIRE

Redbone

here we gooooo

Will

Your reactions when we saw Kyuma naked🤣😭

Betsy

Yes!!! I'm beyond ready! Their faces were hilarious when they saw Kyuma. I about died 🤣🤭

jblakk

On severence Thursday!? Yall cooked today. Busy busy

TrueCrisp

Niragi has more plot armor than one piece side characters

TrueCrisp

Who's berserk book is that ?? 👀

Hector

Oh this game is so goodddd

Venus

The cheeks at the end always get me

Luke Fox

I personally probably wont be watching season 3. Season 2 ends where the manga ends, just seems like Netflix it trying to milk more money out of the series. It ends great with season 2 no reason to drag it out.

Betsy

My thoughts exactly... Then again, I'm also curious what direction they would go in to further the story.

MA

Yeah, finally we have Season 2! I can't wait for the next episode. So far, Season 2 has my favorite games. I'm excited to see which game you'll like more. Your reactions when Kyuma entered were hilarious!😳🤣

Sinbad

The Chishiya hate is so strange to me. I find him so fascinating, like he's easily my favorite character in the show. His intentions are dubious as hell, he's resourceful, just as smart as Arisu and is actively looking for ways to break this whole game. I love that dude lol

WHY

Interesting how Jack thought Arisu was sitting like L. Kento Yamasaki (the actor who played Arisu) actually played L in the 2015 live action of Death Note.

WHY

That’s perhaps too much doubt there asking why they’re all running away instead of trying to defeat the King of Spades. They don’t have weapons with them; of course they would have to run at that point in time before they find weapons or come up with a better plan to take the King of Spades down.

WHY

I like how this episode (especially the scenes with Arisu & Usagi at the convenience store) is showing the mundane things that we don’t normally notice in our daily life but are really precious yet missing in the world that they’re in. I also like the contrast of the two characters: the random girl (who wants to be taken out by the King of Spades) having enough and doubting the purpose of fighting anymore in this world vs. Usagi not wanting to go back to the original world doubting the purpose of living in the original world.

N

The actor who played kyuma is named Tomohisa Yamashita. He is a famous idol, singer and actor in Japan. I have been a fan of his for a long time. I was surprised when he appeared on the stage completely naked. 🤣 but kyuma is a very attractive character and a perfect role for him. From Japan with love.💕

Lydia

your reaction to Kyuma was priceless 😂😂😂😂

El

Good ep

Betsy

Indeed! And I'm going to try to watch the next few episodes with a straight face. But their reactions were too good. I might not be able to. 😂

Mari

You guys are here now. Meet my favourite Face Card King of Clubs. Yamapi is so cool.

Keiji

Idk how a season 3 is possible

neko

plot armor in this season is insane, kind of bring down the show a few points for me

SuperChuckABoo

"Maybe there's a sock on his bean" - Cannon 2025

WHY

There’s an explanation why there’s strong plot armor for these characters. Really good and valid reason. Just watch till the end.

WHY

To all the people watching this show/this season for the first time and wondering about the plot armor and unrealistic parts, I assure you they’ll all get explained and make sense eventually.

Dinesh

the manga is being written lol. manga chapters are online now i think.

Fatipapi

LET’S GOOO

Merry

From now on I will laugh on chishiya's hate😂

Merry

I think we all have the same expressions when niragi shows🤣

Anya

I get you. The manga ending was beautiful and complete. "Wrapped in a bow" I gotta say though, I have ideas on where they can take this. Doesn't mean it's a good idea though.

DC

You can’t deny that he isn’t over the top corny at times tho. Like running around with hands in his pockets while getting shot at. It’s like the directors wanted him to be aurafarming the entire time

Fatipapi

Tokyo Drift 😂

DC

A surprising amount of people like Niragi for some reason. Dude is literally just a psychopathic rapist with no redeeming qualities

DC

The show just has an over the top live action anime feel. Like when the group is all together talking with their backs turned to each other in different poses. Characters randomly dropping one liners in intense situations. Like when Chishiya nonchalantly said you shouldn’t hide behind cars while standing in the wide open with his hands in his pockets after watching people get split in half by an antitank rifle. Don’t get me wrong I like the premise of the show but I feel like the characters could act a little more realistic and natural.

WHY

Oh no, I wasn’t talking about the acting, I was talking about the “unrealistic” plots. I understand ppl might have different takes/opinions on the anime-like acting, I can see why and I totally respect that. But whether you find it natural/realistic or not, Chishiya’s nonchalant character is indeed very consistent throughout the entire show; he’s very truthful to his character. I don’t want to spoil it here, but all I can say for now is Chishiya’s backstory actually explains quite well why he’s so nonchalant and why he acts like that. It does kind of make sense after learning what he has gone through before in the original world. So to me, even though Chishiya is not like normal everyday person and doesn’t act like what a normal person would act in those intense situations, how he acts actually make sense in light of his nonchalant character, well explained and consistent throughout.

Fatipapi

You’re right Cannon 😂 shipyards are always sketchy lmaooo

Betsy

I would ask you to elaborate but that would spoil it. So, I'll wait until the season finale. Then we can discuss :)

WHY

Yes😅 Well, not a section specifically dedicated to directly explaining why all the plot armors, but the ending definitely explains why they don’t die in that world (if you understand the whole “borderland” concept). Ahhh I wanna explain so badly but can’t because otherwise it would be a spoiler. Will do that when their reaction for the show comes to an end.

Alexa

The looks of disgust across the couch when Niragi appeared had me in stitches 🤣🤣 cause literally same 💀

Fatipapi

I mean, i know what youre hinting at, but yeah lets just wait until the end and then discuss 😂

Betsy

I will. Thanks, Merry. This show makes me laugh and cringe at the same time. I love how it doesn't take itself too seriously. Yet it still has deep heartfelt moments Haha Can't wait until my favorite games come up on episode 4 and 6. It's going to be a bumpy ride but I'm buckled in, regardless. 😏

Merry

Exactly sometimes this show has deep moments and life learning lessons...like ep 3 of S1 . Aww our favourite eps are same 4&6 and i also add 7 in it❤️

Betsy

Aww that's cool we have the same favorite episodes! I love all the pychological components deeply rooted in these specific episodes. Without a doubt, this show hits you on so many levels. It truly makes you ponder and question your existence and purpose while also encouraging you to face your fears head on. Which in turn, that leads you to strive to fight harder even at the expense of walking closer to death. Oh, episode 7 is so good and full of intense moments. It really hits its peak then. They're going to be stunned... I'm looking forward to witnessing it. I kind of rambled lol 🤭😲

Betsy

And that's why I recognized the King of Clubs, he played in some Japanese Dramas I watched. I love Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Thai dramas. Korean ones are especially my favorite. I'm such a drama junkie in general. Haha Merry, do you watch Japanese or Korean Dramas? 🥰

Betsy

Nope we're not related. Haha We just have some things in common I guess. But it's nice conecting with a lot of people on here that you wouldn't normally. I like meeting new people and making friends :)

Merry

Hahah we are not.. we are strangers but can be friends😃 because of some common interest in kdramas.

Zoe

The Chota lore is hilarious

Merry

Yes i watched many kdramas i prefer them more... Japanese i saw only two AIB and house of ninjas. Chinese Mr.bad and hidden love are my favourite.🙂

Betsy

Exactly. ☺️ And I'm still holding out hope for them to one day watch Weak Hero Clas 1, All of Us are Dead, The Glory, Death's Game, Taxi Driver, Sweet Home, Study Group, among many others. lol I realize it's a lost cause though considering the little number of fans on here.

Betsy

Aww I've watched a lot of Kdramas too along with J-Dramas and Chinese Dramas. I like to switch out. Meteor Garden is my favorite Chinese Drama. For Japanese Dramas, It's Good Morning Call or Honey Come Home. But I did watch the live action Bleach movie a while back ago. However, I prefer the acting in Kdramas. They feel the most polished.

o k

Plot armor during the car chase was so bad...

Skyster

Some details are simply skipped, in the live action Niragi falls from the building to the cement but in the manga he falls straight into a swimming pool I think so I would explain a little how he survives and so with many details that although it was not adapted 100% the same manga, it is still an incredible adaptation

draeonic 🪼

Cannon's "give me strength" expression when Niragi appears is everything 😂

Alan

On the point of usagi’s dad reputation means a whole lot is Asian cultures, at least in japan and Korea from the things I’ve seen/heard. Especially in Korea it’s cancel culture but it doesn’t only pertain to celebrities. You cheat on someone, tell off the wrong person, or someone just talks shit about you because it’s a blemish on your name that never goes away

Sasha

In that car chase when someone said "He's not there" and then "He's still there" are one of those movie/show moments that pisses me off the most. Like yeah give them a false sense of security.

Sasha

Yeah. People glazed this season so badly but that scene was more plot armor than any other scene so far in this show.

Sasha

I swear next episode is so buns😏

Chrisiyyi

i assumed Niragi fell off the building into the pool or something, like isnt there a pool at the beach in the open court? and that is howhe survives? i havent watched this show yet, maybe get explained.

Anya

🤣🤣 You threw off my reading! This made me laugh. This must be what it looks like when me Betsy and sometimes WHY converse 😂😂

Anya

Same. I love his nonchalant demeanor. His panic response compared to others is hilarious😂

WHY

Haha Anya I’ve got the same reaction when I saw this 🤣🤣

Luke Fox

The last episode cliffhanger is a netflix only scene though, its not in the manga. Therefore, while Netflix can continue from there, it would be without any source material which makes me highly doubtful of them being able to create anything good.

Luke Fox

Funny how people only complain about plot armor in live action though and are indifferent of it in anime.

Luke Fox

there will be reasons for why certain characters manage to survive seemingly dying later in the show

Alex

there's actually a sequel manga that takes place after what the live action has covered so far. They could pull from that and adapt it for season 3

Chosos Wife

"This just means Chota is alive" 😭🤣

Sdat1guy

That buns scene was worth it 🤣 I had the same reaction 😂

Berndelta

Thank you for using the current pronouns for Kuina 🫶🏻

Dezzie00

In the manga he did fall into a pool and it was only like 2 story’s.

Jacob Goldsmith

arisu vs this king of clubs gonna go hard af. this dude should be one of if not the smartest if he is the clubs tho maybe hearts is smarter lowkey

khalxeesi

obsessed w how much cannon loves romance. if your a reader and want the most tragic literary romance/magical realism ive read in ages read shark heart

Betsy

I find it so endearing. It's kind of rare for men to be into that type of genre. Not that they can't, but you don't see it as often. It's refreshing to see. We need more men like Cannon :)

Anya

No need to apologize. I was talking about the cat pic dude who interrupted your conversation 😂🤣

Betsy

Oh wow I got confused... But yeah that makes sense. It caught me off guard as well. It was funny though 😂

Mathani Abdalla

the reactions to kyuma had me crying i kept replaying to see each of yall individually 😭😭😭

Lydia

i actually cant wait for this next episode 😬😬😬

Betsy

Same here, Lydia. I’m so pumped! Things are getting more intense! 😏

Lydia

its my first rewatch so its been fun! im excited for this game.

Betsy

It’s my first rewatch too. It’s a really cool fun one. Can’t wait!

Alex Ramirez

So a difference from the show and the manga would be Usagi's dad's fate. In the show, the news reports that he went missing and most likely perished when he went hiking. However in the manga, Usagi arrives home one day to find her dad had hung himself. Having your reputation tarnished in some Asian countries is taken so serious that they feel that it's not worth living anymore.

Riya

think of James Bond as a character lmao (if you know you know) like how it was during the car chase scene

Riya

I think I recall from an interview, Japan really went all out for this live action show, and the first time they did a car chase action scene kinda like Hollywood/Western style

Smiling viper

I see peak on the table! 🔥🔥🔥

komispo

"of course he's smushed against her" i love him bro hes so funny 😭😭😭

Yo Dani

its something like a Barett 50cal

Yo Dani

i have this fear that her dad is the king of hearts lol
