The manga is really good. The art and action are amazing and there are a lot of scenes I can't wait to see animated. It is very consistent too, I have been reading it weekly for nearly a year and I think it is getting better and better as it goes on.

You guys kinda got introduced to some things this episode next episode will introduce the main plot but it REALLY turns up when you see 2 people riding on a bike and an old man with a sword. However I HIGHLY recommend someone reading the manga. The fight art and choreo is so good I think it would take way too much for animation to match it.

Sakamoto Days are out like 2 or 3 hours before Solo Leveling, and in Japan they are 1 week ahead because ep 1 and 2 aired on the same day. If you guys use VPN or another website then episode 5 is out now. Best ep so far imo. @Studio Gek

My friend wanted to stream Ep 5 today because Sakamoto is not on crunchyroll and i actually got spoiled a bit in the beginning lmao and i got confused. I asked him how the heck did they get there and then i realized that you guys only posted 3 episodes, not 4. Just a normal question - is it intentional or you guys get it delayed by a week in America?

I can't shake off the feeling that Lu is Kagura from Gintama and Boiled has Taizo vibes as well. And I just learned that even the MCs in both Sakamoto Days and Gintama have the same voice actor. Having watched Gintama, this type of story does feel repetitive, but I have no idea where it's going.

For me the first episode was between an 8 or a 9 because it showed potential. All the rest after were like a 6 or a 7 into a freefall. Is this show going anywhere? Usually the best shows are made by good antagonists, and in this show they are all a complete joke. Not to mention the main character is basically a plot device himself, so I keep waiting for it to go somewhere interesting but its not giving any indication its going to do so whatsoever.

Here is my spoiler free hype. You think zoro in OP is good with swords? Do you like John Wick? The storry really locks in after the first like 8 chapters in the manga and its been running since. I have a google sheet rating all manga arcs I've read and I don't think I've given an arc less than an 8? maybe, but i don't think so. For whatever that is worth. I relate to Brig and Cannon's takes the most, then Carter.

As a fan of manga, I will say the first arc is mostly set up and introduction but after that, the series does pick up at least for me. The art and choreography are a highlight for me in the manga. The wholesome moments are also great.

Japan is ahead of the world by 1 episode, Netflix started airing it in Japan one week before everyone else. The 3rd party streaming sites post that version. So the Geks are watching it the official way.

I would highly suggest Jackie Chan's Drunken Master 2. It is not a sequel, he had made a drunk master movie when he was younger so this was just a second one. It's one of his best movies and one of the best martial arts films.

Eh, it's fine so far. I seen some badass looking old man on twitter like a year ago and it looked cool. Probably a slow burn, and unlike old shonen i wont have to wait hundreds of episodes. I bet it'll begin to boil soon

It's a very fun series, and even in the less "relevant" parts the action in the manga is superb. All in all the anime will hopefully act as manga advertising, because even these simpler fights are super sick in the manga, and, for me at least, they don't hit the same in the show.

to hype up this series without spoilers the only manga's I've binge read because i thought they were amazing and were too addicting to stop were berserk, vagabond, the climber, homunculus, jjk, aot, solo leveling and Sakamoto days (if i didn't name something else that's good, its probably cause i watched the anime instead or haven't read it)

the manga cooks like crazy, some of the best fight choreography i've ever seen. the assassins you meet throughout are super cool, and the strong ones are frightening. the story transitions from more comedy/action to mostly action with a serious plot. I hope you stick with it or maybe come back when more of the material is adapted.

we in fact did not know soon… i theorize that this is the show cannon said he didn’t like in one of their recent videos (i don’t remember which) which is such a shame bc the plot was really introduced starting from episode 5 and season/cour 2 is when it gets more like jjk and solo leveling😭

Brig got a real life job and chose that instead of this. As for breaking bad and sakamoto days, they said in an announcement months ago that they were one pause, but I’m also not in the discord so maybe there’s is an update past that announcement there

aw, sucks that brig had to go an grow up glad there wasn't some big falling out or drama or something though. also, i know they're on pause, but they said they'd return to sakamoto days and binge it when the season finished - which it has been for a while. and I'm just assuming they're giving up on BB for a lack of engagement because it was an indefinite pause and they haven't acknowledged it since then.

still never watched better call saul which is peak. rewatching the rest of bb with the newbies would set them all up for a bcs watch-thru. i mean, heck, they rewatched all of aot. and they're already about halfway thru breaking bad. i know they'll probably never finish it, but it's not a crazy expectation.
