Seth Aasland

Anyone else ever been on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney? One of my favorites

Vanesa

I mean it's not shocking that you guys haven't seen it. I've never seen breaking bad, dark, or most of the anime before this channel. I feel the same way when I try to talk about things I've seen like animals of farthing wood, Watership down, dot and the kangaroo, the tudors, masterpiece theater and no one knows what im talking about. We all have different childhoods but I prefer what I grew up watching. We never had Disney channel when I was growing up until my sister was five and I was twelve.

JAN NARUTO

TheSauceGuy

I watched the Jurassic Park films way too much when I was a kid.

Kyle

I relate to Brig cause I was scared of everything too. like I love legend of Zelda but I couldn't play it growing up unless my brother or sister was in the room 😭

I’m Tired

i really wanna rewatch the Dunes so i hope ya'll get to that soon

rian

mane where the heckin is vikings?

TheSauceGuy

Oh man, the donkey unlocked a hidden memory for me. I remember playing that level of the Lego game on my Wii.

GreetswithJudgement

Well Black Sails is a damn good pirate show! Honestly I prefer it over Vikings and Game of Thrones. Can’t wait till you guys get to watch it!

Carrie

Soo fun! I always wondered if the Will vs Jack sword fight in the beginning was inspired by the one from the Princess Bride. It has that same goofy yet tense energy, great choreography and dialogue, etc.

Patriicia

Havent seen this in ages

Anya

Guess I'm uncultured too because I never saw these lol Another first to share with y'all🙌Shoutout to your mom for making y'all watch one of the greatest movie franchise in history- Star Wars!! That was my dad for me. Too bad it'll never shine on the channel though🥹😢 Would love a podcast on it! Anywaayss excited to start & 🏴‍☠️Black Sails would be a great follow up!

Caraxes🐐DT

Wow unexpected but definitely great to see and can’t wait for the next movie.

Man Brig Brought Back Memories Redbox was the place 😭😭 getting some dvds then ordering a pizza going back home putting the movie on it just hit different. Doesn’t feel the same anymore everything is so accessible

~Mercedeez Lee~

Haven’t watched these movies since I was a kid, so this will be a nice rewatch with you guys. I too remember being scared of the these movies when I first watched them

LuvStarburst

Did you guys watch the movie's end credits scene? I know this one and Dead Man's Chest have an end-credits scene.

James Burge

Bro they are gonna love dead mans chest such an underrated movie its so good

Linus

Set course to se Black Sails next 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ , savvy?

Marissa

I’ve had to play one of the songs from this in orchestra before, literally so fun

SirCatelot
>>167200704

He is the goat. Also it was an abusive relationship from both sides not just Depp. Amber seemed way worse than him

Betsy

Richie Sour

Wow this is an OG might have to get on board

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

I work on a dive crew on a pirate wreck called "The Whydah" where we recover cannons, coins, pistols etc that belonged to the infamous "Black" Sam Bellamy. Here is the true story of the wealthiest pirate who ever lived for anybody interested: During the start of the golden age of piracy, Sam Bellamy was a poor sailor in the King's Navy. He lived in Cape Cod Massachusetts where he met a young woman named Marie and fell in love. But he was broke and her father wouldn't let her marry a poor sailor with no prospects so he decided to become a pirate to make enough money so that he could propose to her. Over the next few years Bellamy quickly became the wealthiest pirate to ever live, captaining a fleet of ships, and helping to establish the pirate colony of Nassau in the Bahamas. Finally he had enough gold to return to his lady love but on his way back a Nor'easter storm wrecked his ship within 100 yards of the shore of cape cod where Marie was waiting for him, killing Bellamy and his entire crew and sinking his ship to the bottom of the ocean where it remained until it was found more than 300 years later.

Agent September 🏴‍☠️

You guys absolutely NEED to watch Black Sails! Its like game of thrones except pirates! And the writing is every bit as good (totally not biased)

Michael H

I forgot about Red Box!! Back in the days where buying a movie for someone was still a good gift 😕

Agent September 🏴‍☠️
>>167228590

Hmm another one of my favs is "Calico" Jack Rackham he got the name "Calico" because he was incredibly clever like a cat he also dressed a bit flamboyantly. His lover and partner in crime was Anne Bonny, the most famous female pirate to ever do it. There are lots of crazy stories about Rackham escaping from 5+ naval ships. Jack and Anne were eventually captured and Jack was hanged, but Anne pled her belly (no clue if she was actually pregnant or not), and there is no record of her execution so many historians think she actually escaped :) If you're interested in pirates i recommend "The Lost Pirate Kingdom" on netflix its a good docuseries and I know some of the guys who consulted on it. Black sails is also good - its fiction but the plot follows real events and many of the characters are real pirates from history and are written pretty accurately based on the knowledge we have about them.

Richie Sour

Yo these movies didn’t really scare me as a kid I thought they were cool BUT if anyone’s been to disney world the ride there totally scared me, it was also my favorite ride though 😂

Richie Sour
>>167228590

Cape cod shoutout! My best friend works a very similar job and I’ve heard the story before it’s so epic

H
>>167200704

Funny enough its not just amber he was accused by multiple women even a man came out and said he touched him when he was a little boy and johnny depp was in his 20s yall defending these actors like you know them. Yall corny and parasocial.

Linus
>>167211121

Yess! 🏴‍☠️ I hope those rumours about a sequel movie come true

Goat

For me the Pirates of the Caribbean is a trilogy, the last two movies don't exist and we don't talk about them 😬

TheSauceGuy

"They're so dumb" for not expecting the pirates to walk on the sea floor to their ships lol?

TheSauceGuy

I can't wait for Squidward

TheSauceGuy
>>167190844

Yeah, I wanted to be a paleontologist too haha. I'm going for something in a biology field though.

bondbond53

Second movie cooks so much harder just saying

RipIsMySon

Also movie 5 is a big L but I quite enjoy the 4th one tbh it’s fun but first 3 trilogy is by far the best as a whole story

Vanesa
>>167229986

Do you guys not have those anymore? In Jersey we still have them.

Sasha

Hans Zimmer is the goat.

Michael H
>>167229986

@Vanesa For real? I just assumed they went the way of video rental stores and Netflix mail-in movies. Jersey knows how to keep it real.

Michael H
>>167200704

Allegations are cheap. I can allege something about you right now if I wanted. The one court case he was in about the matter, it was clear to everyone that he was the victim.

Dakota

Another classic series. Welcome to the wagon, Brig, Cannon and Carter. Enjoy

S Moonchild

7 year old me was obsessed with pirates. I have sea sickness, I am scared of sea and water overall, I don't think I would survive a day living as a pirate, drinking rum into oblivion, live in filth or salty water, sail my whole life... But I dreamt of being a pirate and owning a ship. I had pirate books and a fake sword. I love main trilogy, 4th movie was super fun even though I was older watching it. But yeah, either I got older or movies got worse, 5th movie didn't hit that hard. Keira Knightley was a role model for so many girls watching the movies and Orlando Bloom is an ultimate crush

Niffol

Pirates fell off. It was fun when it first came out. but after like the 3rd They turn to snoozers and burned out jokes : \ Pirates is very mid as a whole.

Niffol

The "Tang" is the portion of the blade that goes down into the hilt and shaft. You want the balance to be as close to the hilt. I THINK? might have confused something.

Niffol

If you guys enjoy these sword fights and haven't seen Zoro. You should watch that.

Sasha

What a high praise for the movie👏 Maybe it's because I've seen it so many times and I've grown sick of this action type of humor anyway but still it's a fun watch 7/10. I like this movie the least out of the three anyways. But there will be one of the coolest scenes I have ever seen in a movie.

Sasha

Fast and Furious reaction would be lit but please. That's too many movies. Consider watching "Miracle in Cell No. 7" instead😁

Sasha
>>167192784

Game of Thrones overrated af. I'm trying to watch it with the Gek reactions so it would be at least worthwhile😔

GreetswithJudgement
>>167192784

Yea never cared for it the three times I watched it. I still think seasons 1 through 4 were pretty good but I just didn’t resonate with it which is weird because I love that concept and style. I think I was wanting more considering the books and just was left disappointed.

Sasha
>>167191156

They got to watch them. I hope it will be after Pirates🙏I think in some video Cannon started saying some line of the movie but maybe he got it from tiktok or I was just hallucinating in my own Dune bubble.

Sasha
>>167191019

I'm 24 and haven't played Zelda but when I'm playing Outlast I can't sometimes even wear the headphones because the sounds are too scary😣 and when I'm wearing them I ran away as soon as I hear something😂

Sasha
>>167185859

Kite looking a lil weird🤨 also On Stranger Tides is quite good actually but the fifth one should actually be left untouched

Kyle
>>167191019

better than me cause I haven't even tried playing scary games lmao I'm trying to get better at watching scary movies but the last one I watched was I Saw the TV Glow 🫣

Ninaly

Man please please please consider watching Black Sails, it's the best pirate media out there in my opinion and keeps peaking until it finishes in its fifth season. I consider it a sleeper giant along with Dark.

Niffol

SYNCHRONIZED FLIPPING?!

Alf C

Have you guys considered watching the entire MCU in order? 😇

7thdilemma

One of my all time favorite movies, and honestly so fun to see you guys get to enjoy it too. And just to help you guys out a little, Port Royal was in British colonized Jamaica, in case you were still wondering how they were so quick to Tortuga in Haiti.

7thdilemma
>>167260059

The first 3 make a genuinely great trilogy. However, you only need to watch the first one or two scenes of the fourth film to realize it is no where near the same caliber.

JellyLegs

I love these movies. Grew up with them. They’re so iconic. The first 3 at least.

Ernesto Blanco

Orlando Bloom would make a good Mihawk in a live action

Brady

Cannon said something about how Sparrow is always swaying and moving, my thought process on it is the fact that Jack is constantly at see on a ship thats swaying he never gets reaclimated to solid ground so his body is constantly trying to keep him balenced

jrnoodles

Thank you! Excited to see you guys react to this franchise.

Sasha
>>167191019

I don't know how scary that is but you should try Hereditary, The Babadook or Midsommar😌

Sasha
>>167265159

Well yeah maybe. But I think the real drop in quality is at 8th movie. I haven't even watched the last two because I can already feel how bad those are.

Jenny D

Glad you guys are watching these. I also watched them later after the first three were out when I was in college. I barely remember them though since it's been so long. You guys should also add National Treasure to your list of movies

tomiwa toriola

This was a really great watch guys, can't wait for the rest of the movies

I.S

The taller ship doesn't win for that reason, its taller. it fires over the smaller ship, not down onto it. This has happened in real life. Bigger ships are better long range as they have more rows of guns of course, but up close. the upper guns fire overhead of the smaller ship. so it had no advantage in number of guns.

ShadowCat

Oh man, I got so hyped when I saw this come up. These movie literally impacted my entire middle and high school experience lol the first is the best imo, but the 2nd and 3rd still have my love. Past that, I honestly haven't watched. They felt like season 8 of Got to me lol But seriously, I can't wait for y'all to watch the next one.

Kyle
>>167191019

I really enjoyed it. maybe I'll start with midsommar I didn't even know it was scary 💀

Brix

Day 6 of commenting until they fix Breaking Bad S2E3 for legacy Tier members

Chad Jordan

great reaction! im excited for the rest of the movies. My favorite is #2, Dead mans chest. Its a lot of fun

Skyz

It's honestly hard to believe these guys haven't seen these movies.

Uros Vesic

Great series of movies, watched it so many times. This is gonna be so fun

Richie Sour
>>167229986

I think I’ve seen one somewhat recently but I haven’t gotten one since I was maybe 14-15 and I’m 25

Amira

I can’t wait to see their reactions to the next part!!

Jeronihmo

Hint at a star wars run at the end? 👀

Christian Hawkins

So it’s only right to start the most underrated show of all time next… Black Sails

khalxeesi

I love how dialed into soundtracks you all get, especially Cannon. Would love to know your goat scores, mine is How to Train Your Dragon! Sidewaysjess has an amazing video essay on the litemotifs in the intro being the best musical theming in a movie

Jack Schofield

Please, please watch Black Sails after this

Scott Nagao

I am today years old when I found out Jack and McKay are brothers!🤯

Hej Hej
>>167855001

what are they, haven’t watch this reaction yet but damn I had no idea😅😂

Caraxes🐐DT

Praying we get the 2nd movie tonight 🙏🏾

Matt Haloostock

You guys talking about Redbox makes me feel old lol. I was like 10 years old when this movie first came out and we rented it from Blockbuster. Good times man

Tubasmitty2

Man, such a nostalgic movie, I had this on VHS and would cycle between this and the Fellowship of the Ring while the other rewinded haha. Still so good, and brings back a lot of memories from High School, we played the soundtrack for our marching band competitions one year

NMP
>>167268592

Starts out as a cheesy dude-bro pirate show with boobs and by the end of it I found myself constantly wondering how and when exactly it got so good

NMP
>>167228590

Calico Jack is one of the best characters on black sails but I read a lot that he actually kind of sucked as a pirate in real life and unceremoniously got captured/killed

NMP
>>167192784

I love Black Sails but over Game of Thrones is wild

NMP
>>167184692

I miss movies that felt like huge adventures. When I was a kid I would watch the first three POTC movies over and over again and they just seemed so huge, with big worlds, so many characters, etc. Same with Lord of the Rings.

NMP
>>167184375

Not to be weird but when I watched these movies as a kid she seemed like a grown woman but when I got older I realized she was 17 years old in this movie

GreetswithJudgement
>>167192784

I couldn’t get into GOT and I watched it with 3 times with 3 different crowds. For some reason Black Sails fits more my style though I’ll say the quality of GOT is far better than Black Sails and Vikings. Didn’t care about a single character in GOT and that’s what ultimately makes me enjoy a series. Black Sails has 2 insufferable characters that made it hard to watch at first but Captain Flint is my GOAT.

parALICEis

Orlando Bloom wa 25/26 and Keira Knightley was 17/18
