I think your end conversation kinda relates to the fact that there's no perfect recipe for a story. It just works or it doesn't for certain people. It doesn't need to have x amount of character development or fights etc. it just needs to connect to its viewers. That's why I love stories like Mob, Evangelion and shounen like Chainsaw Man and JJK. On the surface they drop the ball of things that many would consider absolutely necessary for a top tier show but these stories are fundamentally uninterested to go through a preexisting checklist. They just focus on the aspect that they want to and its up for us to decide if we vibe with it or not. Shows like AoT leave us in awe of how it's crafted but for me shows like this are equally fun

I would recommend watching the first opening before beginning season 3. It’s not incredibly important but there is a call back to it the next season

I think it's more of that it would've been weird if it were the finale of season 2. It was good as an OVA but if they went into it thinking it was the finale of season 2 it would definitely be a weird way to end the season IMO.

Yeah but think about it though Conk you’re in a business engage,ent and sneezes come quickly. It’d better to just sneeze in the mask instead of rushing to take of your mask and find a tissue or whatever. Also using your arm is way less hygemic. Just after the meeting, Replace your mask, they are cheap and people carry multiple at any time.

It got released a few months after season 2 iirc, that’s how OVAs usually go, so it’s not surprising you hadn’t seen it, I hadn’t either.

probably yeah!! i guess i watched s2 and then when s3 came out started watching it and just completely didn't ever see the ova there omg im glad in a way tho? bc now i got to watch it and it feels like new content for me haha i miss these characters too much

I had no idea there was an OVA, I didn’t even realize the show was only three seasons long. It wasn’t until the last minute of the final episode that I thought, “Wait… this feels like the end”. So this a nice surprise lol.

Based on the title I think you guys figured it out, but this is an OVA not a finale. That's why it's so random because it's after the events of season 2, but not really a continuation. It was a fun palate cleanser though after all the action. My top three: 1) Mob 2) Regency 3) Teru I kinda feel like they don't do much with Ritsu. I would say Serizawa would be in my top 5 along with Dimple.

Thanks guys! It was a nice refreshing twist for something different. I loved the warm cozy winter vacation vibes and supernatural mystery and intrigue that this OVA was centered on. Plus, I can't get enough of Reigen's shennigans. Hehe That's what makes this show so special, there's always a surprise and unique take on certain things as well the wholesomeness of the characters. It has so much heart. Mob's journey of self-discovery was beautiful to see. He grew up so much. I'm proud of him. Love this show! My ranking is: 1. Mob 2. Reigen 3. Dimple

It's funny because each time you start a Mob episode and you realize it's gonna be a one-episode adventure, you're kinda disappointed, but in the end it always blows away your expectations and you just end the episode wanting more. The characters are all just so likeable and it's just well written in general. I also just finished season 3 after years of having finished season 2, never gave it a chance for some reason despite loving season 1 and 2 and the reactions reminded me, I and I must say, I really think it's the best out of the three. Can't wait for the reactions.
