Fun fact: the animation style used in the fight is called kagenashi, meaning “without shadow”. This style is used for creating higher quality animation at the expense of detail by not drawing the shadows on characters, or drawing much less shadow.

Karlsefni

Absolute Cinema ✋😮🤚

jemmy

YASSSSSSS

Thomas

Some find it overexaggerated or unnatural looking, but to me it perfectly fits the fight. This isn’t two men quarreling. It isn’t two ninjas fighting. This is a grudge match between a zombie that calls itself god and a beast that represents nothing but sheer hatred. The inhuman movements and lack of serious reaction to damage sells the air of this being a battle between monsters.

Cannon Andrus

Naruto is my 2nd most anticipated watch rn 🔥🔥

Mitch

What’s number one??????

adabooo

Mob probably. Still a huge W tho 🔥🔥

Pause 💀

Earthshatter

i always found it very interesting how Pains way to bring out peace is very similar to our world post nuclear arms, in the sense that everyone is afraid to start a big scale war due to the fact of what those weapons can do. similar to the strength of all the tail beast

bondbond53

No offence but the PAIN is speech is especially important for American people to listen to. Everyone in the world really but especially Americans

SwaggAllNite

Just a suggestion but even if it’s off recording you guys should really watch the dub version of pains speech I speak for myself when I say one of the greatest dub moments in anime 😭💯

Cannon Andrus

We’re gonna do a dub v sub video

Cannon Andrus

Why do you single out America instead of keep it for everyone?

bondbond53

Cannon you guys are the masters of proxy wars in other lands. I will stop now sorry for bringing up politics but as a part of the rest of the world that has to live at the whim of your guys' choices let me tell you it's not fun. I did say everyone has blood stained hands

Zu

I'm normally a sub guy but Troy Baker's performance as Pain is among some of the greatest in voice acting imo so I'm glad you guys get to experience what the standard of dub should always be like

Zu

Also might be a hot take but dub Madara > sub Madara although both are goated

Mara

I remember binge-ing this arc then ending it and going back to the beginning to watch again! Loved this arc down !!

Mitch

Who did Troy baker do better as Pain or Yamato?

SwaggAllNite

Personally I say pain you can just feel every ounce of emotion and certainty in his voice and what he’s saying that in this specific case the sub just can’t capture as well

BFMxAngelo

LITT! Pains Dub in Almight Push and the Speech is a MUST!

Resumeee

Alec Raatz

It's a good point in reference to the show in terms of current/recent past events. The war in the Middle East is a great representation. Its basically been remnants of a Cold War with Russia, where both countries have supplied weapons of war to each respective side fighting battles, we replace democratically elected officials with our own and make situations even worse. The Middle East is basically a battle ground between US and Russia, where we are indirectly fighting, using people of their country. You can argue if it's good or bad, the point is it's a good representation of that matter.

Jordan Mowrer

This arc is peak naruto. Hot take incoming I stop my rewatches here I hate the final arc so much. Very similar vibes to Game of Thrones seasons 1-4 vs 4-8

Ninjinzo

finally we reached peak

Alec Raatz

definitely a hot take. Some of the best moments are yet to come

Ninjinzo

imo one of the best animated fights, intensity wise as well as choreography. It was insanely fluid as well as how i mentioned, the intense expressions and realistic warping of speed and hits just makes it 100x better to watch if you understand the reason behind the animation style. It just goes crazy just like Naruto finally releasing all of the power of the Nine tails.

Ninjinzo

basically it showcases real world values and how people really act as well as the government. To only care about their land which is just how it is.

Hasani101

I’m so happy you guys made it this far

Zess

The stuff leading up to the end is still good though, but I kind of agree on the end.

peak peak peak

Dakota

Man. Hinata getting wrecked and triggering Naruto’s transformation is one of the best scenes in the show for me. I don’t like that she got hurt but Naruto going berserk is so good. His goofy ass never knew how she felt about him, and then she confesses and he finally knows. So good. These next couple episodes are great as well. Also the entire pain arc in dub is insanely good. When he attacks Naruto and says “Do you hate me now?” It’s peak

Kite

I love how Hinata and Naruto help each other not by winning, but by losing and never giving up 🙂

JellyLegs

Peak. I’m about to watch a Naruto live symphony. Will be back to watch this later ✌🏻

Hector

Love the animation on this episode, only thing it's that compared to animation from today it looks incomplete but it's so smooth and easy to digest

Zu

I wouldn't say the final arc isn't worth watching since there's a lot of good moments but the writing definitely has a lot of issues that's just hard to ignore lmao

Enma

Rewatching those last two episodes after not seeing them for years got me feeling emotional and nostalgic. I remember waking up super early before the bus came just to watch this arc and these episodes. The whole day at school, all I could think about was Naruto, replaying the fight over and over in my head. I love this fight so much, it's my second favorite in Naruto (my first is still to come). Those last two episodes were just so well done, from the music and lighting to the animation. And the culmination of everything that has happened so far, the way they built up the weight and tension of the fight was superb. It definitely reminded me of how high the peaks of Naruto can get.

Hector

I remember also playing and watching this unfold through the ninja Storm video game series it was do crispy and interactive love itttt

Richie Sour

Yes bro that was so peak had it on the 360

One of the few moments in anime where the dub is just as good or better. I suggest yall check it out for these episodes

sil 🧸ྀི

one of the best arcs in anime!!! but also pretty freaking sad oh my god

Xoul

Thank you for taking Hinata's moment as serious as it deserves 👏 She truly showed the deepest purest level of LOVE imo 😭 and i may have imagined McKays eyes a little more red than usual with a hint of extra shine but I hope it was real which would mean a lot, no? Maybe I'm just seeing tears where they are not because of mine doing mass exodus while watching 😅

sil 🧸ྀི

kyuubi having ptsd with minato appearing damn

Brig Andrus

Fr ☠️. Tf did I do 😭

Kite

ninja storm was peak childhood

Marlon

Guys, Orochimaru had his arms but he still couldnt use hand signs for ninjutsu ever since he got sealed up, so he's been drastically nerfed ever since the fight with the 3rd Hokage

Richie Sour

On the animation for that fight, the animator has said he wanted to display the speed they were moving at and the fact that pain is just a moving corpse My sister and others have had complaints about the animation and it was debated back in the day but as time goes on I think it gets more more appreciated considering new anime have taken this style and molded it

Ari

i cant believe im about to wait for a another week for a new Naruto upload 😭 the yellow flash is heeeeerree

1999

Man the highs of Naruto are so high. I need a remake so badly with all the filler, yapping, and unnecessary flashbacks cut out + modern animation.

Steve

Honestly, Cannon's reaction = always great. And Carter's eyes are finally starting to light up watching this show. Good to see someone put their guard down. (also, while sub is very good and I don't usually watch this show this way, it's missing just a little bit of gravitas that Pain's English dub managed to capture)

JAN NARUTO

THIS IS MY FAVE SHOW RIGHT HERE

JAN NARUTO

Pain's speech, Hinata fighting for her love, and Minato sitting on the cliff hit hard

JAN NARUTO

the way Minato blocks the kyuubi like saying stfu I'm speaking

Kiyoh

music in 166 and 167 is unreal

Patriicia

good morning :)))) breakie ready

Karlsefni

do you mean Carter by any chance, the one sitting in the middle - cannon (left to Carter) has been enjoying the show for quite a while now

e riv

It's such a great reaction coming from Jack's passion for what Naruto went through, Cannon's for rooting for Naruto and the fighting sequences, Carter for the action, and literally for enjoying these episodes. McKay, your little smiles and excitement for the peak moments are the best. Brig, I like how you're just chilling and enjoying the peak moments and lol to "Pain getting the 5G connection." My favorite parts will always be Pain's cycle of hatred speech, Hinata coming out to fight for Naruto, and Minato's appearance at the end. I want to hear what the Geks think about Pain's speech in a more extended outro. It was a lovely reaction, and yes now I hate the Geks again for making us wait another long week... So much Pain. I genuinely appreciate these moments.

More Naruto Reactions

Can someone send me the streamable link? Then I can download the episode. I’m on vacation and would love to watch it in the plane.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Know Pain...Talk No Jutsu! Pain/Akatsuki is going to the route of Schneizel's Damocles, peace through fear and momentary peace with smaller conflicts. We have nuclear weapons to deter "major" conflicts and soon it will be hydrogen bombs so theres no risk of radiation.

Yara

i need the next ep like i need to breath

This means something to me man

Stanley Snyder

“Do you hate me?” No Pain, they can never make me hate you. No one can beat Pain Talk No Jutsu, this man is speaking nothing but facts.

Patriicia

Damn... these epsiodes were so sick

Marlon

seasonal naruto would be so top tier

Billie

hinata such a wifey

Lukash

Carters face was priceless during these episodes, it actually happened... W 🔥🔥

Kasumii_

Hooooly I didn't remember the Confessions episode being so damn depressing

Юрий Безрук

naruto turning into fox just proves all Pain's points.. Naruto lost both phisically and ideologically

Riksu

The animation itself is great and very fluid. I think the issue a lot of people (me included) have with the episode is the directional choices. Adding cartoonish aspects to such a serious fight feels very jarring

DontFailArtSchoolEren

Many animes will have many similar characters with similar motivations/intentions/goals because they have been a big part of history and anime storytelling but execution sets them apart. Naruto felt like finishing a book (not including boruto lol) while AoT felt like finishing a story. Code Geass can be worth your time (its in most peoples top 10 list on YT), was very very popular along with DeathNote, Fullmetal Alchemist and Gintama. Easily many reasons to disqualify it or find it charming, classic 2000s anime with many ambitious themes. If you watch enough anime you will see many are like Pain or Madara and the MC is always naive and hopeful.

ThatGuy

Being locked in and not trying to predict/explain everything thats happening is also a reaction

hawa

NOOO THE CLIFF HANGERRRR

hawa

we need to give props to pain tho. bc bro is one singular dude who first destroyed the village - using a ton of chakra for that and now is able to fight a fair fight with naruto's 6 tails like his chakra amount must be unreal !!

hawa

yeah i know. but its unreal still. dojutsu uses a lot of chakra too

DontFailArtSchoolEren

pretty much, boruto will have some big things to create threats but besides that much smaller conflicts in the world of naruto.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

I think each show did the ending they wanted for the overall vibe of the shows.

sweety

Thank you, I'll watch it. Yeah Boruto was like the Hobbit series, commercialised. Basically Damocles, Pain etc failed/got rejected from art school lol, although you know if it's a trope, especially a popularised trope, I prefer watching the original ones. Like for eg, I thought Demon Slayer lacked emotional philosophical depth, but Naruto has it. So that's more of what I'm looking for. Thanks for taking time to answer though, I appreciate it!! hope you have a good day :))))

Maj

Idk why but Jack saying "Noooo not Pa" had me crying lmaooooo

Gon Freaky

Don't subscribe then go away

Richie Sour

Yeah that’s definitely a part of it but some of that I think goes with the corpse part

GBuckets

We got nothing to do with it, talk to the leaders not us

GooberM

at 40:00 Mckay's face after Jack had his mini crash out lmao

DontFailArtSchoolEren

haha, well Demon slayer could've been like Naruto if it had 10 more seasons to explore different demons from other countries and superpowers but i dont think the manga artist wanted it to be too long. Most tropes go back to Evangelion especially the "big" picture evil anime villain plots. AoT is heavily heavily inspired by Code Geass and Code Geass is heavily inspired by Evangelion but does not focus too long on internal supernatural stuff. Most mecha series goes back to Legends of the galactic heroes and Muv Luv but they weren't as popular for viewers but the literature was there. Its pretty much impossible now to make something truly unique its more about adding to your own artistic vision and executing it the way you want.

Izaya

Naruto never lost his parents. That was brought up in the battle against Sasuke in OG. Naruto doesn't know loss because never had no one. While Sasuke had everyone and lost everybody. Opposites. SO Naruto couldn't possibly understand the Pain of losing someone. Not until Jiraya. Naruto was born "alone" so he never experienced loss.

Nivek

About the sage art clones. I love his plan and everything and how OP Naruto’s clones are but if he just a little bit craftier with them and substitutions like KaKa sensei then he’d have unlimited sage mode

Nivek

The toads getting knocked into their own specific biome was always weirdly funny but the ungraceful toad is the best

Mitchel

I always find Hinatas scene so dumb *SPOILER* Please don’t read the comments under this post because there are Spoilers *SPOILER*

Gyt

Yeah that line by sasuke at the valley and even Naruto accepted it that he doesn’t understand

Kesendo

naruto fights are unmatched. What makes them so peak isn’t just the insane choreography or how cool the fighting styles are, it’s also the incredible build up and emotional weight behind each major fight 🔥

Alex

I know it's a long way off yet but I really hope after they finish shippuden they react to the Naruto: The Last movie. it's the true ending of Naruto and the show isn't complete without it imo

JAN NARUTO

if you don’t fight for your love, what kind of love do you have

Steve

Yeah thanks, I had a brain fart. Good that you could pick it up from context though

Yugi

I understand your point and you are 100% right, but to list only one country is unfair because there are enough other hardcore capitalist/imperialist countries that do or have done the same or similar damage to other countries, such as Israel, Russia, China, Uk, France, Germany, Turkey, Iran. With such sensitive topics, one should always either list them all or find a more general term

Juan Avila

Preach 🗣️🔥🔥🔥

Yugi

I hope LOTR uncut rewatch is the nr. one 🤣

Mitchel

*SPOILER* Naruto doesnt even love her back 😭 Because of hinata naruto would be dead if not for Minato

Nivek

Personally I feel the filler makes the H* moment better but I had no choice as a kid but to watch it that way so hey 🤷🏽‍♂️

MissJodles

I will never accept Hinata slander, everyone needs a real one like her <3

JAN NARUTO

Naruto was already packed up by Pain. While everyone in Konoha hesitated Hinata made a real impact. MA GIRL

jemmy

That's why this Pain arc was important to him understanding Sasuke

Mitchel

*SPOILER* No he would not lmao. Pain can‘t extract the Nine tails there. > He would have taken Naruto to the hideout first. And extracting the Nine-Tails from Naruto would have taken a very long time—probably 1 to 2 days. Just for Gaara, it took them about 5 to 7 hours, and Gaara's chakra is much weaker. Also, they have far fewer members compared to when they captured Gaara. Even if Pain had brought Naruto to the hideout, they wouldn't have succeeded because they would have been stopped by then. Hinata's action was simply unnecessary and put Naruto in great danger. Naruto would have died because of that action. There was a reason why Naruto said that no one should interfere in the fight.

jemmy

It's funny how Pain was just catching bodies ever since he showed up on screen. Just a menace

Mitch

Because you’ve never experienced love.

Nivek

That 5G 🤣🤣

Mitchel

*SPOILER* No, he would have died anyway. Uzumaki has nothing to do with surviving something like that. Kushina would have died soon too, even if Kurama hadn't killed her.

Nivek

Lemme just deliver a moon to your face real quick same day shipping lmao

Mitchel

And what impact would that be? She did absolutly nothing. If that would have been Sakura or any other character you all would be throwing a fit lmao

Gyt

That’s canon so it has to be watched anyways and after 479

Gyt

Sometimes the build up be better than the fights 🤣 still goated tho

Gyt

Naruto got to meet his dad cuz of Hinata so nah that scene ain’t dumb

Mitchel

I gave a spoiler warning.

Billie

'why didn't they kill ma' Cannon when I catch UUUUUUU

Mitchel

That’s bullshit. It’s not the true ending lmao

Mitchel

He would’ve met his father soon either way, so it doesn’t make a difference. If Minato’s chakra hadn’t been in Naruto, Naruto would’ve died because of Hinata’s recklessness.

Kesendo

@mitchel, just delete the spoiler comments. They said they don't want future stuff to be discussed in the comments, regardless if it has spoiler warnings

Mitchel

*Spoiler* First of all: Naruto definitely did *not* win the fight because of Hinata. Hinata didn’t contribute anything except triggering Naruto to lose control and let Kurama out. She didn’t even manage to lay a finger on Pain. I'm firmly convinced that if it had been any other character instead of Hinata, everyone would’ve hated on it. If, for example, it had been Sakura or Ino who jumped in front of Pain and got taken out within seconds, people would’ve screamed about how pointless the action was and how weak the character is. But no — because it was beloved Hinata, everyone celebrates that moment. Pain would’ve never been able to take Naruto to the hideout that easily. There were a lot of strong ninja who had just returned to the village and could’ve stopped it — for example, Guy-sensei. In Pain’s current condition, Guy would’ve easily won.

Billie

yk its serious when the boys shift closer to the table

JAN NARUTO

It took three days and nights to extract the one-tail from Gaara pls check your facts and pls delete the spoilers bruh

Gyt

Bro lost the talk no jutsu

KrisSto

Cannon leaning forward with his jaw hanging open and Carter laughing in response was killing me it happened on more than one occasion 😂

Mitchel

Sorry I didn’t know the exact time. But that only proves my point 😭 — if it already took them that long to get Gaara, then they’d easily need 2 weeks for Naruto. They don’t even have nearly as many members now as they did back then. You really think they wouldn’t have found Naruto within two weeks if they found Gaara in 3 days? Lmao, I don’t even think they would’ve managed to get Naruto to the hideout. They would’ve been stopped beforehand. Also, I gave spoiler warnings before all my sentences. So if someone still read through all the comments under my post, it’s their own fault and they probably wanted to get spoiled.

Gyt

41:33 that’s Hanabi not Neji , Hinata’s lil sis

Billie

the rollercoaster of emotions on jack and cannon's faces was SOOOOOO REAL glad u enjoyed lads and Carter :')))))) WELCOME TO NARUTO PEAK

JAN NARUTO

the other spoiler about the movie is very readable pls delete it🙏

Julio cruz

That music in the end made me feel that feeling of despair growing inside naruto, seeing Hinata killed and the village destroyed and feeling like there's no choice left but to give in to the Fox. Then his father comes to pull him out of it. :*(

Mitchel

Yes true. Sorry I deleted that one

Billie

BEST EPS BEST REACTIONS BEST VID LETS FRICKING GOOOOOOOOO

JAN NARUTO

bro u just released 10 years worth of anger towards Hinata🤣

Billie

You really feel the magnitude of it all in these episodes. what is at stake and what has been lost is finally at the tipping point and hinata's sacrifice really broke that final shimmer of hope. let's go!!!!!! this reminds me to when I ran to read the next chapter in the manga when hinata confesses her love because I just could not wait. SAURRRR GOOD

Melizé

THIS REACTION WAS AMAZING! 🥹🔥❤️

Mitchel

😂😂 i am sorry. I don’t even hate hinata that much. I just hate the scene and how people like it that much because I know that if it would have been any other character people would think the same as me. I just don’t like the writing *Spoiler* and the ending of naruto

Mitchel

Yes and I totally understand that. I also think the scene is amazing and the fight is great (except the animation xD) I just don’t like how it was done

Mads Mariager

This arc is peak Naruto. Its just strait fire. unfortunately it never gets this good again.

Aidan Ross

Naruto the anime is definitely catered for kids but the manga is definitely not catered for kids. Manga is bloody af and the anime is toned down for kids.

Lydia

Hinata scene and Minato scene are absolute masterpieces. Nothing hits like pain arc idc 😭

Lydia

Something so tragic about the sunshine character turning to despair. He was trying to do it all on his own but hes just a kid sometimes you just need your parents to pick you back up again 🥹🥹🥹

Yugi

Carter, your couch-to-trash can throws are legendary, but we never get to see if your bottles actually make it into the trash can. You should add a ‘trash cam’ angle to track your hits and misses—it’d be hilarious to see your stats 😂

joe

jack a yapper

Gyt

Turtle island arc that peak is on par with this

Rouz

I’m Surprised by how many comments are prising hinata like am I the only one who finds her distasteful. I have always disliked her whether it’s in my first watch or later on even now I can’t come to like her what she did was stupid not prise worthy

KrispyKenny

Sil you should join the naruto gek discord it's very active

Alex

Sorry I misspoke. I didn’t mean it’s officially the true ending of Naruto I more meant it’s a nice full circle way to end the watching experience. Whether you like the movie or not is fine but I’d personally like to see them react to it at the end. Mainly because it expands on certain developments between characters that make them feel even more earned.

Billie

Are you watching with your eyes closed? You don’t need to like her but what she did was very brave and she was mirroring what Naruto has been teaching her all those years, standing up for her - despite not always being strong, despite being the ‘loser’, despite not having anyone else with him. He has always had a strong sense of justice and that’s what made her start to like him. He literally says to her she has no chance and she still did what she could, she broke those poles and risked her life in the process and still got out of it. were you not watching in og when we learnt about the hyuga branches? she has always been compared to her younger sister because she’s more stronger and is not as sensitive as hinata. neji always criticised her because she was from the main branch and did not have the personality and drive that he thought strong people and people from the branch and clan should act like and because she was born with everything he wanted and yet was a kind sensitive and not spoiled kid. Naruto never criticised her and this was her final moment of waking up and doing something brave? This was such a natural progression and a very badass move of hers. One of the best parts in this arc.

Mahti

Absolute cinema 🔥🔥🔥

Maj

As Jaime Lannister once said: "The things we do for love..." Hinata loves him so much she was willing to sacrifice herself to protect him. She's gangster for that, that's real ride or die shit 🤷🏾‍♂️ Cant see what's distasteful about that bro

Lydia

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 @Billie

Lukash

Thank you Billie

Mitchel

I feel you

Billie

Literally!!! the bravest thing a person can do is fight for love

sil 🧸ྀི

i am so bad at this lmao but finally i was able to join! 🙂‍↕️🤝🏻🥹 thank you

Saiyo

I can't wait for the next episode!!! It was so much fun to watch you guys go through the emotional rollercoaster that this fight has been so far.

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

One of the most moving moments for me is when Hinata is approaching Naruto, fully aware that death is inevitable, yet she keeps moving forward driven by everything that motivates her when it comes to him. She remembers how he always believed in her, despite the fact that she was considered a loser and a disappointment to famous Hyuga clan, lacking in many aspects, especially combat and initiative. As she struggles to move, Naruto’s words echo in her mind: "Go, Hinata!" What's even more courageous is when Pain asks her why she’s fighting even though she knows she’ll die, she grabs the metal rod that's taking Naruto’s chakra as if taking on part of his burden and pain 😣🥲 She responds to Pain with the exact words Naruto has always said, words that once felt like the opposite of who she was, but now with definite resolve, she claims them as her own: not giving up and keeping one’s word—that’s her ninja way 😭 This entire episode never fails to make me super emotional

Secretly

Soooo good!you can only watch the Pain arc for the first time once, but rewatching with you guys is a close second for me.

Michael H

Hinata is such a boss in these episodes. That was definitely the time for all the onlookers to jump down to help, but she was the only one. Plus, she was smart about it: her whole goal was to free Naruto instead of fight Pain. I got issues with how Kishimoto wrote a lot of his female characters, but he did right by Hinata.

Lukash

perfectly crafted scene with perfect use of flashbacks <3

Lydia

such a tearjerker

Melizé

I love Jack. I love his energy 🔥

bondbond53

If you look at the world in the past 2 months you'd understand why it's important for the everyday American to also be held responsible because you guys are the ones that vote basically the outcome of the world. With how somewhat mild some politics have been in you and mine's lifetimes compared to world history we forgot how painstakingly hard democracy was somewhat achieved by our ancestors so the last 2 months have proven how misinformation and selfishness have allowed fascism to rear its head back into our lives. So yeah I'm sorry boo me Americans hold more responsibility than most people in being exposed to such messages as PAIN's

Desiree Retterath

Its canon I believe so I really hope they watch it

Vixen

Billie my goat 🐐

Rouz

just because her sister is weaker then her doesn’t mean she’s strong compared to the others who are relevant to show she’s a nobody . Also we could agree to disagree cause I still see what she did is a stupid thing and about the love part I don’t see anyone saying the same about Sakura love or Karin all of them are foolish not noble I have always disliked the way some writers portray women’s in there shows one of them is kishimoto he really didn’t do well with that like there’s only two or three female characters that are actually well written

derick ako

I wish i heard more about what the gang thinks about pain's ideology and his plan. But i lot of wild things happened in these set of episodes so i get it but i hope they still touch on it in the future.

studiogek

😂😂😂 this is a great idea lol

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! This arc is so PEAK. Also surprised no one mentioned Pain's cycle of hatred speech. It's so good both in sub and dub. I don't like the dub at all but the voice they chose for Pain is perfect.

Neith

SOOOO GOOOD it teared me up. Fourth Hokage showing up is SO GOOD. Theres only another appearance that beats it for me, cough red hair, iykyk. GOATED

Riley

free palestine! fee congo free sudan

Billie

I agree with you that female characters are not well written in Naruto-verse. Kishimoto also knew that I believe. But that’s different to saying what she did was stupid….respectfully I can agree to disagree on personal likes etc but that’s a wild take. the source has been fed to you. hinata’s progression to this is natural. when did Karin and Sakura do something like this? and wth is karin’s love? That’s infatuation and weirdness…anyways I said what I said and I stand by it. two realities can co-exist: what she did was brave and a great point for her character but the female characters are not well written on this show because we needed to see her earlier a bit more but I still like this arc a lot and like what was done with her character here.

GBuckets

Pain is Eren Jager frfr

Scarecrow

When 4 tails Naruto fought Orochimaru, Orochimaru did not have the use of his arms. The 3rd hokage sealed them away. Although when he got a new body his arms were no longer rotting off but he never regained his jutsu so he could not use any jutsu that required hand signs. Since fighting the 3rd hokage he had been nerfed to maybe 10% of what he used to be. That’s also why Sasuke was able to kill him along with him being on his death bed anyways.

Scarecrow

Yes it’s cannon. As is the one after that.

Jx1p

The Geks are gonna find out real soon narutos most powerful jutsu (if you know the meme you know) and i wonder if it will bother them or if they'll accept the outcome as being plausible.

holyfuckingobito

ahaha I'm afraid they won't like it, idk i wish it was different

Yugi

First watch i didnt like it either but now its a masterpiece for me

lololol

the most op jutsu of all

Michael H

I disagree completely. It was not stupid at all. If she had jumped down to fight Pain, sure, that would’ve frustrated me, but she focused completely on freeing Naruto. Our boy had lost. He was out of commission. I actually find it way more stupid that more characters didn’t jump down at that moment.

Freja Holmberg

Peak episodes and reaction, cant wait for the next

Sandi uchiha

Ik yall excited but you’re giving away too many hints and being hindsight merchants

Bambina

Yugiiii spoiler!!!

Gyt

Bruh yugi fucking tripping

Yugi

Fixed sry i was brain afk 😭😭😭

Ninjinzo

yh fr think before u comment dawg

Ninjinzo

mate if she hadn't jumped down there Naruto would've gotten captured. It may seem a very risky move as she was going to lose her life doing so, but the difference is that she was PREPARED to die just to save Naruto. Who was almost CAPTURED. Denying this is just blatant hating. You can still dislike the character, but this scene right here you gotta at least give her credit.

Ninjinzo

ong that shit on that one thing that happens is peak asf @gyt

Ninjinzo

it's fully cannon. Kishimoto worked with the producers of the movie and written the story. He even had a funny comment about how he's not use to ever writing a specific style of writing. Cannot say as it's spoilers

Ninjinzo

i gotta disagree with you, hinata played an important role and did the right thing. To save Naruto and to ensure he doesn't get captured. That is the priority of the leaf and she was the first to actually help. I'm more annoyed that more didn't go down. You saying she didn't make an impact. She literally made naruto crashout to the max lmao. And ur point on it if it was sakura instead. No i'd be also happy that she is actually doing it.

Ninjinzo

bro is also disabled

Ninjinzo

to shed light to your comment about the 'jarriness' @Riksu. The reason for the 'cartoony' aspects was to also show it's craziness with it's intensity. As Naruto is a complete monster, animating him in this 'crazy-demonic' style is honestly imo perfect. Pain was trying to mimic the demonic and craziness naruto was outputting by matching it which is why we could see the facial expressions of a corpse intensify in this episode. To fully show that he's straining and trying as hard as he can to keep up with the nine tails and you can tell by just looking at him.

holyfuckingobito

This is my sixth watch lol... Idk I don't mind it I just wish its different but I know judging by their other reactions that they might not like it but who knows

Shadow

So u just don’t like Naruto in general and also people would not think the same as u if it was a different character lmao.

Neith

Relax they long forgot my comment by the time we get there

Freja Holmberg

Man i love whenever the show gives us Fouth Hokage, i just feel save and at ease.

Mitchel

Bro what? That’s a weird take. Naruto is my all time favorite Anime. I have been watching naruto for over 18 years. Just because I don’t like one specific scene in naruto does not mean I hate the Anime.

Mitchel

I watched this Episode when it came out bro. I know how people reacted about it and I know a lot of people who think the same of me. 80% of people only like this scene because it‘s Hinata. Thats sadly the truth

Not A B

The ost when naruto goes nine tales, with the visuals is just pure cinema I got chills everytime, then Minato?! I can't wait for next week!

Not A B

Growing up with Naruto really was a blessing like imagine a kid following weekly his OG journey since elementary school and finishing this arc in highschool same age as him it played such a huge part in my life!

LuvStarburst

at the bridge orochimaru still didn't have his arms to actually weave signs to create jutsu. He only did things that didn't require hand seals, he was nerfed when fighting against naruto.

Richie Sour

I think it’s actually perfect for this arc but future arcs I dislike it

1999

Those multi week stretches with back to back filler were hell tho. I remember as a kid I didn’t know what filler was so I was confused af why sometimes the episodes would have nothing to do with anything. 😂

Matthew Valentine

Minato grabbing Naruto's hand to pick him up gives me chills every time man, that sequence with the score is on another level. I can't believe this ep got tons of backlash when it aired, it's aged immaculately

Gyt

Raw dogggg through the fillers without knowing what it is too all of them 🤣 no regrets tho as a kid some fillers were actually fun

Not A B

Ikr?! Cause why would they cook curry rice in the middle of a battle I was so confused 😂😂😂😂

jessiefungirl

"Your pain is justified" "My pain is FAR greater than yours!"

jessiefungirl

Just curious if you knew that Pain and Schniezel had the same Dub VA, I had to laugh when I heard the monologue.

jessiefungirl

ngl i'd even take it without the modern animation... I'm afraid of it looking like boruto. not exactly terrible, but the color/style doesn't exactly fit the vibe of the show.

jessiefungirl

watching cinema on a monday hitting different

jessiefungirl

just wanna know if anyone remembers when hinata was introduced in shippuden and mckay and brig imitated this scene 😭

Nashi

Cried my eyes out. 167 is CINEMA. When Naruto is well produced there's few like it, everything comes together beautifully. "What do you plan to do about it? What's your answer?" "... I don't know". GOATED arc

Nashi

I don't get how they don't get emotional bruh

Nashi

The only problem is him himself knows it's temporary false peace. He doesn't have an answer better than that, he acknowledges it. He puts his hate for the world into his ideology and convinces himself is the only way. It makes his character really good, but it doesn't mean all he says are "facts"

Nashi

Pain questioning Naruto for a better answer and receiving nothing for an answer is amazing. Minato picking him back up is also insanely good

Kite

😂

Nashi

I don't get it. Pain's japanese VA is literally flawless

Nashi

Kyuubi screaming "HAAAACKS, I CALL HAAAACKS"

Nashi

Also rewatching and this might be my favorite episode until now. Shikamaru's grieving episode is also a 10/10. So many to choose from, Naruto x Sasuke at the valley, Jiraya's death, Itachi's death, even Sasori's 100 puppets. This one probably takes the cake though, straight up cinema

Nashi

Forget this dub nonsense bro

Nashi

Agendas

Nashi

Piss off, Pain has nothing to do with it, completely different

DontFailArtSchoolEren

many Animes have proven its impossible to change human nature unless you remove free will. conflict is part of being human.

DontFailArtSchoolEren

oh really? i never watched naruto in dub after hearing naruto's dry raspy voice and everything sounded too melodramatic. Schneizel's dub VA sounded so charismatic and well natured.

Mitch

Bro we’d be in the middle of an intense arc and then BOOM 6 months straight of filler. Then we’d be back to the cannon arc for a few months and then BOOM 3 more months of filler. One of the worst series ever to watch live 😭😭😭

Mitch

I’m happy Carter is appreciating how good this section of Naruto is, this arc is in the majority of peoples all time top 5s for a reason and significantly stands out from the rest of the series.

Melizé

Rewatching this reaction to help me survive the week 🥺❤️

Gilster

Ahh my glorious king KAN KI

Mitch

Most aura filled character in fiction 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hero3life

Look, I get why you’re frustrated. Feeling like you can’t change things. The world’s been a mess lately. But pinning it all on everyday Americans is a stretch. Yeah, our votes matter, but the U.S. isn’t the only player in this game. Other nations, leaders, and systems shape the chaos too. Pain’s speech isn’t just for Americans, it’s about universal flaws. Hatred and selfishness aren’t exclusive to us. It's so much easier to blame one group of people for everyone's problems. So I think you deserve some of the Boo's.

corLeonis

the 4th Hokage's VA is the same as Enel and Boros (and if you played Final Fantasy 7, he also voiced Sephiroth)

Bellaa

they are watching so many different shows, its hard for it to hit the same when you are creating so many diff attachments to characters in diff shows if u get what i mean

Bellaa

i think if they make it twice a week it may hit harder but idk

Riksu

I understand that. But having Naruto play whack-a-mole with Pain is not portraying a ’crazy-demonic’ style.

Melizé

Lol I love Naruto, what can I say? 😂❤️

Nick K

As someone who finds this show really frustrating/boring at times, this is definitely my favorite arc and when I was loving it the most. Side characters are being weirdly dumb about some stuff but Pain is completely elevating every scene he's in. Also Pain's VA is killing it

Bellaa

finally finished watching this reaction and i def think we will get carter to cry for this show!! he felt that ending i could see it🙌🏼 great reaction all around

JAN NARUTO

If he cries it's because he's been strong for too long

Marcus D

Bro even got his own anime ending 😂

Marcus D

That shot of minato sitting parallel to the sunset, given the music, the context and all; is one of my favourite frames of any art.

Bellaa

i already know the specific scene in my head. i bet all three of the boys who haven’t seen it will cry

Nami Swannn

MINATO‼️‼️‼️🫂 Pain’s speech is the first time we see Naruto left speechless 😭 but it’s true, if there is justice in vengeance, will that not just lead to more vengeance? Naruto is a kids show for sure, but it’s themes like that which make you appreciate it even more as an adult. Also Ill never understand ppl who clown the Pain fight animation it’s crazy good !! Glad yall are appreciating it!

Nami Swannn

That’s was so out of pocket poor Ma 😭😭???
