endeavour is fireeeeee 🔥

18:45 They know how Stain looks like because Stain has left more people alive but paralyzed than he has killed. So it should be common knowledge for heroes to know what the Hero Killer looks like when plenty of people have witnessed his appearance.

Lauryn

Patiently waiting until y’all get to season 3, my fave season 😁

Christian F

You are confused as to what they did wrong, they are not allowed to do hero work plain and simple. It would be like a young person who is going to school for criminal justice who wants to be a cop one day, and then goes out and shoots somebody who's committing a crime or tries to arrest somebody even though they're not a cop yet. You can't just arrest somebody just cuz you know they need to be arrested, you have to be a police officer to arrest somebody. According to laws that we have in the united states, what they did here was vigilante work which is illegal. It's illegal to fight crime unless you are an officer of the law. It wasn't self-defense because Ida specifically sought out the hero killer. You could argue that there were aspects to the situation that would be considered self-defense, but none of them would have been there to begin with if they hadn't sought out the hero killer.

Christian F

So simply put, it is against the law for any of the students at UA to fight crime. Just like it is against the law for you to fight crime. Laws are pretty simple and easy to understand.

StandedJosh

I get what you mean but there is such a thing as a citizen’s arrest so you don’t have to be a police officer

idcjayyy

technically the worst bc you can only receive blood from other type O- 😭

Christian F

Another way to put it is a police officer can use pepper spray or a taser in order to subdue a criminal who is resisting arrest and there is no repercussion for that. But if you were to personally go out and taser or pepper spray someone, even if they were doing something wrong and even if it was in self-defense, there would be multiple court appearances and repercussions even if you were to be let off the hook eventually. You would still have to go through a long process to prove that you were in the right to do what you did, unlike law enforcement. That's basically the situation, they are not law enforcement yet, but professional heroes are law enforcement.

jessiefungirl

just in time for midnight snacking :) (jerry??? 🤨)

Alanin_8💜

Iida ran off from the pro hero who was overseeing him to personally confront Stain, Deku disobeyed Gran Torino's order to stay on the train, and Shoto also ran off. It's true they defended themselves against Stain but they put each other in that situation with no supervision or instruction by professional heroes who were instructing them. Also they don't even have a hero license, so they're not allowed to even do Hero work without strict supervision lol

Frizen

Why is Todoroki acting like he didn't get 2 blades to his arm 🤣

Marcus D

The Dog’s VA is Ushiwaka from Haikyu lol

Elle B.

Iida 😭🩷 Love the little character moments in these episodes. Villains incoming! 😈

Layaa

my favorite character finally got introduced 🙏

Tivy

Just to clarify any confusion as to why our boys could of got in trouble for anyone reading this — since they’re still students without official hero licenses, it’s illegal for them to engage in unsanctioned hero work unless it’s part of authorized training. In MHA being a hero isn’t just about doing good deeds, it’s a regulated profession. You need certification to operate legally, which is a big part of what Stain was criticizing. His whole ideology revolves around rejecting the idea of heroism as a career path, arguing that true heroes act out of pure selflessness and not institutional recognition. Once again thanks for the uploads guys! Excited to see your reactions to the first movie after this season.

TED103

goat for all

86 LilaS

I think what you’re trying to say is that “Hero” has been watered down to a job title for fame, fortune and entertainment. Anyone and everyone can become one regardless of whether they’re fit for the job or not by passing a qualification exam. If you can fake it you can make it. It’s become cheap.

Vernus

Do you guys have plans to watch the movies? The first two can definitely be done in release order but the third one you should wait until you finish season five at the very least

cozo

one for all is the name of the quirk cus it's been passed down to many people so it's basically one quirk for all, you could think of all for one as the opposite of that (not gonna go more specific so i don't spoil anything)

86 LilaS

Boy just yanked them out by the next frame like it was nothing. Probably is a scratch compared to his home life.

Miitei

Is it "privatization" the word Carter was looking for?

Nash

Guy there’s a post credit scene in ep 20

Aozora

"This (show) is more grown up than i thought it was gonna be" -Cannon Yeah, and i hope your guy's reaction will help people realize that this show is far from mid.

cade-carter

THEY BROKE THE RULES. Its not ok to break the rules just because you believe you did the right thing. What if Stain had been stronger and killed them all? It only turned out ok because they managed to pull it off. its not ok to enforce your own values just because youre strong enough to beat up everyone else

Kasumii_

Oooh some JUICY teasers in ep 18, two of my favourite characters in the whole show were seen in that episode. But what a good little arc the Stain arc is, I really love the name Stain cause it just personifies him so well, he's the stain on what hero society has become, the tenacious bit of dirt that won't leave until the whole thing is cleaned, such a well written character for such a short arc.

Conk

It only turned out okay because they pulled it off. Yeah, that's how that works

Gestrid

Iida illegally went after the Hero Killer for revenge, not as a hero, so there's no chance of a claim of self-defense.. Additionally, none of them have finished their hero training yet. They were supposed to be under strict supervision from the heroes they were training under, and they all went off on their own. It's like driving on your own with only a learner's permit.

jessiefungirl

Jeanist's office being called "Genius" im so mad i never caught that before 😭

86 LilaS

In MHA there are no secret identities for heroes. Their names are registered under government regulations and they face the consequences of their actions unlike Batman or Superman who have another alias to hide behind as long as they don’t get caught

Dio

Yes you just repeated what he said 😂

Ben Everest

Why hasn't Brigg been watching this one?

Dakota

driving on your own with a permit and then getting into a fender bender or traffic stop lol

Era

scroll to find the video but he’s taken an irl job offer somewhere so he had to move away for a while

Dakota

One of the devs of Battlefront 2 said they wanna get the band back together to make Battlefront 3. I saw that right after you guys were streaming it. It had to be a coincidence but its really funny to think you guys influenced that somehow lol

Gestrid

Not quite. The very act of driving on your own with only a learner's permit is illegal. In the same way, they're acting on their own by fighting Stain.

jessiefungirl

I know some missed this, but they did say in the poll comments that the goal was to catch up before the final season this year, so definitely not a Blind Wave

Jacob Herrera

Yes, but there’s a limit to the amount of force you can use in a citizens arrest. The Chief mentioned that using their quirks are what is the big issue as there has to be regulation on people using quirks on others due to the potential to cause harm

jessiefungirl

movie 2 should at least wait until mid s5

Marcus D

Why are they in trouble? Simple answer; They broke laws by fighting as unlicensed heroes and Japan is a very stick the to rules society so if this were made public they would need to be punished for the laws to be taken seriously and respected.

Marcus D

29:40 Sukuna’s/Aizawa’s VA does a good news broadcaster voice 😂

victoria t

Todoroki went from saying “I’m not here to be anybody’s friend” in the beginning of the season to IMMEDIATELY rushing to deku’s aid because “his friend might be in danger”

Era

yeah it’s unfortunate gonna miss his takes

I’m Tired

Geks when you watch the OPs for mha you neeeeed to watch the ending from this arc, it's so goated

I’m Tired

lowkey ya'll could watch it next upload since there's no spoilers in it and you have an end credit scene in ep 20 anyways

a_daichi

ive never seen any of the movies so I hope they do 😭

Marcus D

I also told them this a couple of uploads ago haha

Elle

I don’t know that you can cite “self defence” when you actively seek out and assault someone 🤣

Marcus D

So according to Gran Torino, Stain has Amazing Rizz

Ana

Nah that choke grab threw me off guard 😭😭😂 But anyways lol that’s why we call him Goatdeavor. He’s him. And yes the real story is finally starting we finally get the name All for One and some new villains on the way. I can’t wait for season 3

Marcus D

I love the ‘one for all, one for all’ word play but unfortunately these days I see a lot of younger people thinking it comes from MHA and having no idea about the Three Musketeers😭

Conk

The chocolate bar?

Marcus D

Time out in the corner for you Conk😆

Elle

You mean that same law they were citing when telling the boys they were to be punished? That law?

Shoelace Ace

Stain and Billy Butcher would be best buddies.

Nico

IM SAYING!!! Endeavors use of fire is so freaking cool. Also they were punished because they broke the rules. You need hero license to work as a hero, and even then, you need to use your quirk for others, to save people but Iida, not only did he use his power without license, he also used it for his own selfish revenge reason, without instructors supervision. He was wrong. It doesnt matter that it was self defense if he shouldnt be there alone in the first place.

Moon

I never noticed how many peeks into the future we got in S2 Ep 18 before wtf. There's so many things they allude to or at least reference from what was said or shown that my jaw just dropped JHBWHJWB You can tell All For One is a huge enemy that will be a bitch to deal with because of how they make their moves. Like Gran Torino said, they're the enemy general, and the way they took advantage of Stain's existence to further the League of Villain's agenda is fking insane. They couldn't have known that Izuku and his friends would defeat Stain and cause him to be captured by the police, but because he was, the League of Villains became a group seen as associated with Stain's ideology, and invites more evil to their doorstep. The entire incident was like a free pass to grow their forces using someone else's legacy. I'm just genuinely excited to see your reactions to the new villains. Things are about to change in society, and it's gonna be a hell of a ride for sure.

Moon

Updated version of the suggested watch order! In case y'all need a reminder, I'll prob put this under every vid for the Geks to refer to if they need it and update it as we finish the seasons HAHA! MHA watch order goes (ideally + reasons): Season 2 -> Movie 1: Two Heroes Season 3 -> Season 4 -> Season 5 (Ep 1 to 18) Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 5 (Ep 19 to 25) -> Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 6 -> Season 7 (Ep 1-4) -> Movie 4: You're Next Season 7 (Ep 5-21) I know this looks super weird, but according to my extensive research, in the canon manga timeline, movie 2 comes before movie 3, but since Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5, the events of movie 3 now happens sometime in the middle of S5, while movie 2 happens after S5's ending, even though the studio released the two movies in the opposite order. OR, y'all can watch movie 2 after S5 Ep12, and movie 3 after S5 ends (this is what most reactors do if I'm not wrong, cause there are spoilers in movie 2 that aren't revealed until the middle of S5).

Nick K

"Are you saying that as long as it turns out all right, it's okay to bend the rules?" The correct response should be: "Are the rules ok, if to follow them means watching people die when you have the ability to save them? If I simply try to administer first aid to someone in need, but are then attacked, should I follow the rules and die obediently rather than defend myself? Shouldn't the rules have exceptions to prevent them from being used to harm people instead of protect them?" Further proof that this chief is in the wrong, is that he defends the rules as they pertain to heroes, but then breaks other rules about honest reporting of incidents. He avoids the conflict that would arise when the publicly lauded heroes face serious punishment, which may lead to discussion and a progressive update to the rules in question. By hiding the incident, he prevents the flaws in the rules from being addressed. A society that hides it's problems can never outgrow them. He calls them promising young ones but still confidently states they made a big mistake. In a way his devotedness to rules over actual heroism is what Stain has identified as the real problem.

Lemonsqueeze

Time to check the comment to see if people go on huge analyzing rants

Vernus

I could be wrong but there are no spoilers for the second movie that you see before season five takes place, like any part of it. If they watch the third movie before finishing 5 they will definitely get spoilers

Vernus

All they need to do is watch the end of season four and the second movie is decently timed for that

Vernus

I don’t know why people say that if they watch the end of season four there are no spoilers. Movie three fits perfectly into one of the arcs of season five so the best time to watch it is after season four

Moon

@Vernus They could watch it after S4, that's true. I've seen reactors do that before without issue. But there actually IS a minor spoiler in movie 2. (Again, please be warned that there are spoilers from here on. First time watchers please proceed at your own risk.) When Nine tries to steal One For All from Izuku during their fight in the forest, he says that there "aren't enough slots" for him to steal it. From the beginning of the movie, it was mentioned that nine can steal 8 quirks and use 9, so him talking about not having enough slots to take One For All would imply that Izuku has multiple quirks, which is not revealed until the middle of S5. I wouldn't worry so much about some other reactors, but the Geks have been pretty perceptive in their reactions so far, so I believe it would be best not to risk them figuring out a future plot point so early on. It might make the eventual reveal pretty anticlimactic if they did. As for watching movie 3 before the end of S5, I do not believe there are any spoilers about the two arcs that happen in the second half of S5. Since movie 3's events canonically line up with the Endeavour Agency arc, it would make sense for it to be watched during it, which is roughly S5 Ep 16-18. As for the rest of S5, iirc the events revolve entirely around Shigaraki's backstory and the MVA arc, so I don't see how movie 3 would spoil them in any way. If there are spoilers in movie 3, I would be glad to hear what they are and make a decision from there.

Vernus

@Moon I really hope they don’t click on that. See I feel like that’s really only a spoiler in hindsight. Sure it might be a clue to what eventually happens but it’s definitely not the first that has happened in the series. There are hints throughout the first second and third seasons of what happens in the future, one of the best things this creator is good at is callbacks and parallels. I will admit what you said was not the spoiler that I was thinking you were talking about in your original comment but even still I think that’s the best place to watch it. Mostly because the best place to watch the third movie is at the end of season five

Marcus D

That’s how it was in the MHA verse too, when quirks first came about the world became chaotic, then some became heroes and eventually it lead to a society where hero became a normal profession.

Moon

@Vernus It could be. I won't deny that it seems more spoilery to those of us who have already seen the reveal. I really just want them to be able to watch the series without the potential of them being spoiled. Because it's always there, and it's not impossible for it to happen. I do agree that Horikoshi does some amazing callbacks and drops hints here and there about future events or parallels throughout the first few seasons. However, what you yourself feel might be a spoiler only in hindsight is not guaranteed to remain as such for new reactors. What if they do manage to figure it out? I don't think we can lump everyone into the category of "They'll only see it as a spoiler after the reveal happens, not while they're watching the movie." because there are def people out there who catch on a LOT quicker from even the tiniest of hints. We don't know what they'll think when they actually see the movie, so your opinion of what is and isn't a spoiler doesn't necessarily apply to them. So I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to them getting spoiled. Since each movie's events are more or less self-contained and pretty isolated from the canon timeline other than little details being referenced or mentioned at times, there wouldn't be anything wrong with the watch order I recommended. Besides, I did also provide an alternative, which is movie 2 first, after S5 Ep 12, and then movie 3 after S5 ends. It's the Geks' prerogative to decide which watch order they want to go with. Either would be fine with me, as I am merely suggesting what I believe to be the most accurate and faithful to the canon material (according to my research).

india holloman

The best seasons in order in MY OPINION are: 3,6,4,7,2,5,1 When you finish you will understand why tbh. All seasons are great but some offer a little more info or more action which make the show more epic. Season 3 is the best because not only is that where the show gets peak it’s where I feel the most changes start happening furthering the story.

india holloman

Season 5 is great! And it’s one of the more revealing seasons tbh, so I would place it higher than 2 and maybe 7 for those reasons but otherwise this list is more my taste because 7 is just epic and 2 introduces a lot leading into peak. And the sports festival was fun.

All might

in mha its actually different where being a hero is an actual job so the society and rules actually affect the storyline qute a lot. I feel like its actually quite realistic that they arent encouraged to kill the villains and they detain them instead if possible (like police cant just kill murders as they please) + the trainee heroes cant just use their powers as they please against other people. There's way wayyy more examples as the story goes on and it is quite frustrating sometimes to see how rules + public opinion affect the characters. excited to hear your opinions!

Connor O'Hara

I think Carter is trying to say that Allmight is responsible for the commodification of heroes in a way. Stain, my glorious socialist king.

cozo

3 as the best is crazy 😭 imo it's: 7, 6, 3, 2, 5, 1

Connor O'Hara

I think he still had a fire mustache in that lol

All might

Can you please confirm if this is true and then message them directly if it is true? cuz that would suck

Connor O'Hara

Me writing on essay on the capitalist motivations of heroes in the My Hero universe and the socialist ideology of Stain

lololol

i agree with 3 being the best, that season was goated

india holloman

Your opinion but just because it’s new or the climax doesn’t make it the best. I can’t get into it cause I don’t want to spoil but 3 literally builds the most emotion in me each time and it’s a major change in the show. 6 definitely is great and 7 is straight action but it’s all subjective.

Vernus

@Moon I can agree with that really the thing that made me comment was the fact that you said watch movie three before two and I thought that was insane lmao. Arc Name spoiler**** As long as they watch movie two before the endeavor training arc I think that’s the latest they should watch it

Albin Limani

By the way, the singer of the opening is not in Haikyuu. This opening is sang by Amazarashi, a solo singer. The Haikyuu openings you are thinking of are sang by Burnout Syndrome, a band.

Knoebility

SPOILER @Vernus Yeah, I replied to that guy last time he posted his recommendation with basically this same thing, but it would be absurd to watch movie 3, with blackwhip being used constantly, then go back to Movie 2 and wonder why it's absent.

Knoebility

Bro you're missing some of the best parts of MHA. You're in for a treat.

Albin Limani

And we finally see Endeavor in action. For how much of a bad person he is, there is a reason he is number 2, he is the peak of what a person can achieve naturally(keep in mind All Might is not a natural born hero, he holds the power of 7 people inside him). Also, his theme is amazing, kinda disappointed you did not comment on it. It is called Just Another Hero and it actually has lyrics that fit Endeavor's character perfectly. As for All for One, such a cool twist on the One for All and All for One thing. He also has the same voice as Thorkell, Iskandar, Dimple, Blackbeard and so many more iconic characters.

Albin Limani

This is the same as shooting someone in self-defense. Yes, you had no choice, but you will still be punished because you killed someone, the punishment will just be less severe. Also keep in mind, Iida sought him out and wanted to kill him, fully knowing that without a license he is not allowed to do that. If one person starts bending these rules and is allowed to do that, then what stops other people from doing the same and just getting more extreme every time. That is why the police sweeps it under the rug, because if it becomes public then they will have to be punished according to the law.

Albin Limani

Endeavor to me is the most creative fire user in all anime. Yes, there are stronger fire users in other anime, but the way Endeavor handles fire is just so interesting.

Albin Limani

All the MHA endings are peak. Especially the s6 and 7 ones. This arc has Long Hope Phillia if I am not mistaken and the ballad version is so good.

Albin Limani

Yeah and if that was okay, next time other kids who are not as strong as those 3 will try to do the same and die. Just because someone got lucky before does not make it normal to break the rules again.

Albin Limani

Just to put into perspective why what they did was wrong. Imagine a medical student, who has just started medical school, doing surgery on someone with no supervision. That is illegal and punishable by law. Sure, that student might have successfully done the surgery, that still does not absolve him of his crime, just because it turned out ok. Same here, they are not licensed to use quirks against other people. They got lucky and beat the hero killer, but now imagine this being made public and other people will start trying to do the same. A lot of them will not be as strong or as lucky as those 3 and will die. Plus, it would lead to chaos where everyone suddenly use their quirks whenever they want.

Albin Limani

Yeah, that would be punching him and tying him up. They broke his ribs, one of which pierced his lungs and Todoroki literally burned his whole body. That is use of excessive force.

Albin Limani

That is not You Say Run though, that is Just Another Hero. It is Endeavor's OST.

shlomit5577

I think that midoriya just don't know how to tie a tie 🤣

Izaya

Guys you need to put some headphone warnings from the first second of the video, Jesus. Beware of second 1 and 2, Headphone users

Elle B.

IDK if anyone has pointed this out to you but—Since y’all keep saying you like the green lightning Deku has at full cowling, the japanese word “midori” means green! Hence Horikoshi making “Midoriya” his last name and giving him green hair and eyes!

Ellie

Oh Dabi I love himmmm

Pavlo

How far did my goat McKay get into mha? Is this new or still rewatch

86 LilaS

No man in his life back then to teach him. The rest of his class needs to give him some pointers 😂

Eden Nguyen

Sometimes I can't get over that fact that these guys are watching my two most favorite animes and reaching its peak at the same time 🥹 Best time to be a patreon member

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Another villain I love has been introduced, can't say their name yet though.

Navri

All Might gave Deku the full power but the thing is he cant handle it so it looks like he is not as strong as All Might but in reality he can unleash All Mights full power. But All Might is getting weaker because he is pretty much running on fumes

Aby

It isn’t that they did anything wrong, especially be the people watching it. The fact that they would’ve been punished is world-building for later on. The fact that these rules exist is an interesting aspect of the mha world, that’s it. No one in the audience is supposed to think “these kids should be punished”. Although if someone else used their quirk without official permission in another situation it could’ve gone wrong and hurt bystanders, so that’s why these rules were created. You’ll see both reasons for and against these rules later on.

Brady

In your hypothetical, you are describing self defense. Your hypothetical implies Stain attacked the kids first, which justified their actions, but that is not what happened in the show. Iida actively hunted down Stain solely as an act of revenge, without the authority of Manual/another hero. Despite not being licensed to use his quirk in combat, Iida initiated the fight with Stain by attempting to kick him. There is no case for self defense here. Midoriya also disobeyed authority by not listening to Gran Torino to stay on the train and then seeking out Iida/Stain without telling any heroes. Midoriya is certainly more morally justified than Iida in fighting Stain because it was in defense of Iida, but again, he was not authorized to use his quirk in this situation. Midoriya could have and should have alerted heroes about the possibly dangerous situation and followed their lead, but didn't (the same can be said about Todoroki). What you are advocating for is vigilantism, which is a very slippery slope. In the show, everything worked out fine despite them breaking the rules, but that will not always be the case. What if their fight expanded into a busy street and civilians were caught in the crossfire? What happens when someone accidentally kills a hero because they mistake them for a villain in a fight due to inexperience? While the chief of police's decision was flawed from a legal standpoint, it was the right decision in the grand scheme of things. What would the public reaction be to three unlicensed students taking down a villain that professional heroes couldn't? And how would they feel about these heroic students being prosecuted? It would undoubtedly undermine the general public's confidence in heroes, which was already on the decline after the USJ attack. Not only that, the headline "Three Students Take Down Hero Killer" would open the door to potential copycats wanting to take justice into their own hands. While they may be well-intentioned, the lack of experience and oversight could make them just as much as a threat to the public as the villains they're trying to stop.

Moon

@T Ade I'm sorry but what exactly are you referring to when you say "confirm if this is true"? And who do you mean by "message them directly"? Patreon doesn't have the best reply system in the comment section, so I'm not even sure if you're talking to me or @Vernus in this jumble of replies.

jessiefungirl

i can't even disagree with your list, it's so valid. for me i keep shifting my order but rn it's 6, 4, 3, 7, 2, 5, 1

Stairguy

I can’t remember if you guys talked about in the outro…. But the reason the boys got in to trouble was for practicing “Hero work” without a license. The use of quirks is just regulated is all. You did talk about how it would be if 4/5 people had quirks. But I don’t think you followed the logic train all the way to its conclusion. You will, you’re smart guys. So you will see the inherent problem when nearly everyone has a power to superpower. The author did a good job of thinking of and enforcing the consequences in this story.

Stairguy

Not gonna lie, having ssn 4 that high is a surprise to me. Seems like one of the most disliked

jessiefungirl

i dont think it would be such a bad idea to watch movie 2 after the 1st arc of s5, then movie 3 after the second arc, then finish s5

jessiefungirl

the way i jumped at what was shown this episode 😭

Stairguy

Imagine the police doing something like that in the real world….*sip*

Moon

@Vernus (Major spoilers are mentioned here. First time watchers, if you're still reading this thread, first, why are you here?? Second, proceed at your own risk.) Well, I did mention in my original comment that the reason I put the watch order as movie 3 before movie 2 is because the two arcs in the second half of S5 were swapped by Studio Bones. Canonically, the timeline should have been Joint Training arc btw Class 1A and 1B -> MVA arc where the League fights against the Meta Liberation Army + Shigaraki's backstory -> movie 2 (because you can see Shigaraki's injured fingers and ruined left hand at the very end of the movie when he appears to kill Nine, and he still manages to use Decay on Nine with that same hand despite only having 2 of his 5 fingers. Before he unlocked the true potential of his quirk, he could only decay something if all 5 of his fingers touched it, but after the fight against the Meta Liberation Army, he could do it with just a single point of contact, which proves that Heroes Rising's events happens AFTER MVA). After movie 2 -> Endeavour Agency arc where the main trio do their work study with Endeavour -> movie 3 (because movie 3 clearly shows Endeavour and the three of them working together for the raid on Flect Turn's supposed main headquarters in the beginning. Plus, all the other work study students from Class 1A are also with their work study agencies. So this proves at the very least that this mission, while not shown in the main episodes of the anime, does take place DURING the Endeavour Agency arc.) After movie 3 -> Paranormal Liberation War arc, which includes Aizawa and Present Mic going to see Kurogiri and managing to get information about the Paranormal Liberation Front's whereabouts. This is what the movie watch order should have been had Studio Bones adapted the manga arcs in S5 faithfully without switching their orders. But because they didn't, the Endeavour Agency arc came first, BEFORE MVA, so it became Endeavour Agency arc -> movie 3 -> MVA -> movie 2 -> Paranormal Liberation War arc. I'm not saying that this is an accurate representation of how the events happen. I'm saying that in order for the movies to make sense in the timeline that the diff arcs are creating, it would be just as good to watch movie 2 after movie 3. The Geks don't have to go into the movies confused, because all they need to know is that MVA arc & movie 2 should have happened before Endeavour Agency arc & movie 3, and keep in mind that the original order was like so. I already talk about this in my original comment. If they choose to follow my suggestion, they will at least be aware that there might be some discrepancies regarding Izuku's use of Blackwhip. Because movie 2 was released before S5, the studio took care not to have Izuku use Blackwhip for fear of spoilers, so they only alluded to Izuku having multiple quirks. If they had released both movies 2 and 3 after S5, then I'm sure Blackwhip would have made an appearance in Heroes Rising as well. If the Geks choose to watch movie 2 first and then movie 3, that's fine too. It's entirely up to them. I just needed them to KNOW where the movies fit into the timeline canonically.

Moon

@Josh Knoebel I distinctly remember answering your reply under my comment in the previous reaction video for MHA, and I'll admit that I was a little confused that you didn't return me a response. I believe I was trying to continue a discussion there because you seemed genuinely concerned that my suggestion was wrong or would negatively impact anyone's viewing experience. Your tone here in this comment thread suggests some unresolved scepticism about my watch order list, so perhaps instead of replying to someone else under my own comment, you could reiterate your point to me directly again or read the reply I sent you in the previous reaction video? It just seems a little redundant for you to talk about how "absurd" my suggestion is without (seemingly) trying to understand why I did so (from the previous reply you posted under my comment in another video). I'm always open for a proper discussion.

Moon

@jessiefungirl If you mean Joint Training arc -> movie 2 -> Endeavour Agency arc -> movie 3 -> rest of S5, I suppose it would be fine. I never thought about that before because movie 2 canonically happens after MVA, which made me lean towards lumping them together over separating them. However, it's true that movie 2's link to the MVA arc is relatively smaller than movie 3's link to the Endeavour Agency arc.

Moon

@jessiefungirl I know! Literally had me going ????

icyyywifey

If you guys like golfing you should watch rising star it’s. Golfing anime !!!

india holloman

Idk why it’s disliked tbh, it’s a pivotal point in the show, it gives us a third villains pov on why they want to destroy hero society even tho it’s not a good one tbh. It sets us up with some major components and people. The emotional value in that season is well done and the fighting is amazing. If season 4 wasn’t there major parts of 6 would be different. This is one of the more serious seasons in my opinion and continues to move the show away from it seeming like it’s too happy.

india holloman

It’s so funny to me That 3 of us now have listed “2,5,1” the exact same 😂

Pavlo

Wait why movie 1 after s2? I thought the movie took place mid s3? (Genuinely asking)

Sari-chan

The way Cannon feels about All Might is the reason why he is #1. He brings hope. He is not as destructive or scary like Endeavor. He elevates spirit, he is inspiring!

JulioLG

More satisfaction haha. It's just as I posted some times since we were mentioning MHA in the poll threads, things from the show, specially the visual style of the characters IMO and the idea of a school make people thing it will be a shallow, kid oriented like story.. and damn it's not.

JulioLG

@86 LilaS daaaamn I didnt see that coming hahahahahaha yeah its probably a scratch compared with good old Endeavor training sessions

Chinese Cartoons

The way I always think about it is to just replace quirks with guns for a second and think about the scenario again lol Like these kids are untrained and inexperienced but still have extremely dangerous weapons. The fact that they used it to stop a bad guy isn't really the issue, I think basically anyone would look past that part. It's more the fact of - why were you there in the first place right? Stain didn't break into their home or something. Iida went looking for this guy in a back alley with the full intent of getting revenge - that is super duper illegal even in our world. Deku showed up to help his friend - but like again use the gun comparison if a kid shows up in a back alley to save his friend in a gang fight...he's still getting in trouble even if he was just trying to help his homie out. Basically other than Iida the rest had good intentions - but if they want to be heroes part of that involves following the rules. If you just say "fuck it I'm better than the rules" then things turn into chaos real fast.

JulioLG

finally someone using the word literally in the right way, thanks you restore my faith in humanity 😂😂

JulioLG

No worries, thanks for all the work you put in the channel!

Nico

For real. You know ball 🔥

bondbond53

Yeah Horikoshi is very literal with his names. Denki Kaminari for example literally means Electricity Thunder

kai

can’t stand endeavor but i’ll give 10’s when 10’s are due he is a great hero

jessiefungirl

yup that's the exact order i meant havent seen movie 3 yet, but i did watch the filler episode where it's introduced. i just thought movie 2 might feel a bit off after movie 3? idk. it's only a minor spoiler for a character's appearance

yio

He's the goat 🥹

yio

Very good analogy

yio

3 on top 🗣️

McKay Carter

Finished s2 someone showed me a fight in s3 tho 👀

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

My personal list goes 6-3-7-5-4-2-1 and if they stay loyal to the manga, season 8 should top the rest.

india holloman

This is a valid list too I think if I switched for any reason it would be this list.

ace

they don’t even know the problem that AFO is

Itzel

The way I can't even tell which fight it is😭

Daniella

the foreshadowing in ep 18 is so crazy i did my own look to the imaginary camera 😭

Saint

lol of course the heroes now how stain looks like... hes been killing them and has killed a handful. they were probably on the lookout for him

KatyRose

Dabi my beloved

miuliu

katsuki chose best jeanist because he’s in the top 5, while i would choose him to get FREE jeans that fit me like a glove

Balzhan

endeavor was very cool (combat-wise), he is a number 2 after all. i woner if shoto will be able to do all that one day too🤔 +his ice abilities, he would be op. it's like mixing zuko's fire and katara's ice powers, hopefully, he will be more creative with it!

Iris

This show is mature, it has been mature from the start. We see the first inklings of it when Izuku was quirkless and how he became less than whenever anyone found out about it. How Bakugo was lauded as amazing when his quirk first appeared and it was deemed excellent for hero work. Shinso and his mind control quirk and the open osterization he faced despite not using his quirk for evil and wanting to be a hero and open about that desire. The way part of the UA entrance exam sets certain quirk types like Shinso's and even Aizawa's up for failure (as they don't quite fit the ideal hero quirk mold). How someone like Endeavor is a powerful and popular hero despite his outward attitude in public and despite his serious "Rat" behavior behind closed doors. All of this has ALREADY been brought up and all of these are mature themes to deal with, no? Not to mention the blatant call for social reform of "Heros" from Stain and the show just now starting to move more in depth into the laws and regulations imposed on not just heros but society as a whole. You're just scratching the surface of these mature themes, but you are noticing and that's awesome to see! Various other topics and more in depth analysis of them will be brought up as the show progresses, including the repercussions of all of these themes. They are slowly but surely being laid at your feet, and you just have to pay attention and pick them up to see it. Yes, I know I'm speaking from hindsight and I'm trying to be very careful with what I say but, definitely keep asking those really great questions and thinking about them! I won't answer any of them and I hope nobody else will either that will be answered later on in the show. So far it seems everyone is doing a fantastic job at just providing greater context if needed, and that's so awesome to see! Anyways hope you all continue to enjoy the show and thanks everyone for not spoiling anything 💖!

Chlo

YESSS my fav character in the whole show finally makes an appearance!!! love this for me

Chlo

that is my man fr !!!!!!

Chlo

yeah, I think it is for episode 17. I noticed it too

Chlo

yup!! I hate when people write it off as a "kid's show." It explores some super mature themes and gets really dark in some parts.

Hayden Ton

what deku, iida, and todoroki did "wrong" was they don't have hero liscenses yet so they aren't actually certified heroes. and its illegal to use a quirk to cause damage to people or things if you aren't a hero. Unless they were under supervision which they weren't

wadad sk

I’m so excited for what’s to comee!! So many of my favorites are slowly showing up and the league of villains is finally coming together, so good. Can’t wait for you guys to know more abt all the characters

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

amazarashi did not sing anything for Haikyuu. Also "Sora Ni Utaeba" is a better opening than all the Haikyuu openings combined.

a_daichi

I think mha was my 2nd anime ever and then I didn’t know about the movies and just never went to watch them. I’m so lazy lol

Hector

Please watch the first movie after season 2!!!!! Cannon I know you read this 🫵🏻

Didn't remember how on the nose Gran Torino was about the symbol of piece and Stain's influence. It would be better if left implied.

Jenu

what movie?

FrostyMiniYeets

it is also said to watch a certain OVA before starting the movie too, won't say what the title of the OVA 'till the time comes, the OVA is only 2.5 minutes long.

sil 🧸ྀི

when the villain gang appears one by one you know shit is about to go down

FrostyMiniYeets

Don't know if you'll find my reply buried in the comment section here, but after season 2, watch the Special 2 1/2 minute OVA before watching the movie its recommended.

Moon

@Pavlo Movie 1 (Two Heroes) canonically happens btw the Final Exams arc and the Forest Training arc. A manga reader analysed the timeline in much more detail than I did, and concluded that Two Heroes happens sometime in late July in the timeline. S3 Ep 20 (Special Episode: Save the World With Love!) was actually an anime original/filler/special episode that showed the prologue to Izuku and All Might's decision to travel to I-Island. At the end of the episode, it shows All Might receiving Melissa's email and invite to I-Island, and he subsequently rushes over to Izuku's house to extend the invitation to him. More importantly, at the beginning of this filler/special episode, it is stated that the events of the episode occur at the end of July, BEFORE the training camp in the forest. So we can conclude from this that Two Heroes does indeed happen before the Forest Training arc. S3 Ep 20 was just a special peek into what happened that led to movie 1's events. After Ep 20, the story goes back to the Provisional License Exam arc, right after Gang Orca appears as a villain in the second round.

Moon

@jessiefungirl It probably will haha. I won't deny that watching movie 2 after movie 3 might feel a bit strange. But tbh, if the Geks know the reasoning behind the suggestion of movie 2 before movie 3, it'll be much easier to disregard any discrepancies, mainly Izuku's lack of Blackwhip usage in Heroes Rising compared to World Heroes' Mission. However, this is just my opinion. It's really up to them!

FrostyMiniYeets

I don't know if i missed an opening ending reaction in one of the episodes or not, did they include it sometime for OP 1, 2, 3 & Ending 1, 2, 3 yet?

I’m Tired

No they don’t watch OPs or endings when they watch the shows. They usually save all of them until the end of the year ranking or until they finish the show or season. It’s used to only be at the end of the year but they’ve been switching it up recently since that’s a long wait. Idk what they’ll do for MHA. They also don’t usually watch endings

I’m Tired

When watching the end credits scene for ep 20 (assuming ya’ll haven’t already watched it), please watch the ending song with it !!! Not related to show or plot what so ever so no spoilers, but guarantee ya’ll will love it !!

Sorcerer

Just an FYI, the next episode is anime canon/filler—canon in the sense that it expands on an event that was mentioned, filler in the sense that the manga never explored it further. It doesn’t need to be skipped, but that’s why its placement might feel a bit random.

Nick K

The problem with the chiefs decision and the laws in place is that it has clear flaws that they are avoiding. When someone says "you broke the law and it worked out fine doesn't mean it's ok to break the law" it is not the condemnation of people's actions they think it is. If someone broke the law and it worked out fine, then you have to consider the alternative, would things have worked out fine had they not broken the law? In this situation the clear answer is no, things would have been much worse. Laws should allow for nuance. Self defense laws are not absolute, they allow for nuance, meaning if you try to abuse self defense laws they may not actually shield you. Also while Iida's goal was to defeat Stain for a selfish reason, ultimately his intervention saved Native's life. Had he called for help instead, Native would not have lived, there was not enough time. Midoriya was looking for his friend to make sure he was not doing anything reckless, and when he arrived on the scene Iida was in grave danger and Midoriya had to quickly act to then save him. When he had a moment of safety he did send out an SOS for help, so he did the right thing when it was safe to do so. Then with Todoroki, he again did not know the details of the situation, but when he went to assist Midoriya he first told Endeavor to send assistance to the location once someone was available. They also did not kill Stain but actually captured him while saving Native's life. Yes they broke the law, but things worked out ok only because they broke the law. Is that an indictment of them or the law?

cozo

they'll probably just save it for one big video of reacting to all of the openings and endings

cozo

For Jack wondering why Tommy is shooting at and picking off the WLF's. I'm sure it's been said but in the game he went to Seattle before Ellie and Dina and was on his 1 man army shit just leaving bodies everywhere.

I’m Tired

yeah I'm just hoping the don't lmao, they don't usually watch the endings

intra101

XD oof.... it will live here

Jenny D

Great episodes and reactions! My blood type is O positive. I found out after giving blood to the blood bank a few months back. Iida, Deku, and Todoroki were epic during the battle with stain. I'm glad to see Deku using his power without having to break his fingers. I'm excited for the next batch of episodes!

botanbutton

Man, its been a while since I've gone back and watch the earlier seasons and knowing what I know (manga reader/watched to season 7), these episodes just feel all the more foreboding but also hopeful?

Enn

i love that y’all still call endeavour a rat even if he’s good at being a pro hero😭 he’s still trash as a human being

cozo

he's not a great hero like all might in terms of making people feel safe he's mostly just strong

Nanami's Wife

Stain is one of my favorite villains. I really respected his ideology on heroes and love how he says with a proud chest that All Might is the only true hero. Ngl, if I was living in the myhero universe, I would've succumb to Stain's ideology. The only way I would've stop following the villians is after realizing that most of them are using Stain's ideology to do more evil and that's the total opposite of what he stood for. But also, with a hero like All Might, he would've been my inspiration and I wouldn't changed from being a hero to a villain. It's really like a coin flip 😂

india holloman

Valid but why would you rank 7 last in your opinion?

Enn

yeah thats why i said 'pro hero' as in the job; bcs he IS great at his job.. he literally solved the highest number of cases in history. but like you, i dont think he fits the description of a 'Hero', hope that makes sense

cozo

mha drop soon?

Dasha

lmao I really thought those are fictional blood types (like in one piece there's F, X, etc) and realized that's just how they are called in English after your comment in my language they are called 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and I didn't know it's not like that in every language lol

Jenny D

Oh, wow, I didn't know they were different in other countries! Yeah there is blood type A,B, AB, O and each one is can be either negative or positive.

a_daichi

Is it weird what I said lol maybe it didn’t translate well

I’m Tired

I think cause you used past tense LMAO maybe he thinks endeavor dies or something 😭😭

Connor O'Hara

that's so interesting, can I ask what your native language is?

Jyle

Does anyone know if we’re still getting a drop since it’s Memorial Day?

studiogek

Just fyi guys we will not be posting MHA today and will post tomorrow instead

Sickness

Wanted to let you know that there seems to be lag on the episode you are watching compared to the audio

Sickness

Dude why do they always skip and not check for end credit scenes? As far as I can tell they have never even seen one end credit scene

Ines Dubois

Calm down, it's going to be okay, bro. There's no point in watching the end credits scenes because it's literally just a trailer for the next episode, and a little respect won't hurt you.

Sickness

English must not be your first language because a simple comment saying they haven't watched any of the end credits is not a big deal. Yes there is a good few end credit scenes I just wanted to know why they haven't bothered watching them. Not a big deal buddy.

Tabitha

Just wanted to say that there is a movie after the second season that you should watch before season 3

IQLou

deleteeee

Moon

@Ron Jackson Jr JWHBEJBH I only just noticed. My eyes literally bugged out of my sockets at a second glance.

Vernus

@Moon this thread got a little out of hand but just because of this (spoiler) I agree with what Josh said. They are not manga readers so it doesn’t necessarily matter that they switched the order for the anime the arc structure and the powers presented for Deku make it best sense to watch movie two before movie three regardless of timeline. The placement of watching movie two and three can be varied as long as 2 if first, I think is the most important.

Momo

I’m excited to see what their opinion on Endeavor is as the story develops. I think he’s the best written character in the series (still love my boy Deku ofc).

humbleandkindness

i think people need to realize finding a character to be intriguing/well-written, and also finding them to be a rat, can coexist,, Horikoshi might not be the most goated when it comes to plot development, but his characters are layered and very well-fleshed out,, that's what makes MHA stand out so much, and Endeavor is a strong example of that

Momo

Yeah, sure. It’s also possible they stop thinking he’s a rat or land somewhere in-between. I’m not peeved over their opinion of him, just curious and excited to see if it changes.

humbleandkindness

wait if the translation says "you dog" where did we get "you d*mn mutt" from,,

KatyRose

It’s from the dub

Gorira Kujira

I'm boutta cry, but that's fine just gives me better anticipation

Lea_

I know there’s no drop today, but which days of the week does mha usually drop? 🙏🏻

Mitch

Monday Wednesday Saturday

Lea_

Thanks!

Moon

@Vernus I get what you're trying to say. It can be jarring if they don't know the full extent of the reason behind Blackwhip's disappearance in Heroes Rising after watching World Heroes' Mission. However, just because they're not manga readers doesn't mean that the canon timeline should suddenly be presented inaccurately to first time viewers. Again, I emphasise that whichever order they watch the movies in doesn't matter to me personally. They can watch movie 2 after S5 Ep 12 and movie 3 after S5 ends if they want to. It's entirely up to them. If they take my suggestion, then at least they'll go in with the knowledge that there are discrepancies regarding Blackwhip's usage because of the switch in the orders of the arcs. But they WILLL know the correct order of events in the timeline aka the destruction of Deika City by Shigaraki happens AFTER the Endeavour Agency arc, and is thus the prelude to the Paranormal Liberation War arc. I am simply presenting them some options, with one being more explained because of the production issues involved. Once again, I'm not telling them which option to choose. Whatever the Geks decide in the end is up to them. Either way will make sense as long as they take into account what I said in my original comment.

FrostyMiniYeets

Oddly this OVA isn't accessible on Crunchyroll and is apparently only available to watch entirely through the Japanese DVD/Bluray version of the 1st movie, and a slightly cut up version available on YT, you'd think the full version was more accessible.

Hector

War is overrrrrr

Marcus D

Sorry nah, not even gonna humour that take. 🙅‍♂️

MegMegMegg

That's super interesting. I wonder how Rh negative or Rh positive are indicated in that context?

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I was wondering about why nothing was uploaded, so thanks for this. Do you know if they said they’d delay the upload by a day or if it’s just cancelled for this week?

Rayanh Shequinah Nansha

I’m also very curious about that. I didn’t remember how I felt about him at the start, I just know Endeavor just one day made my top 10, which I never thought he would. Only character I remember disliking was Bakugo, but when that changed, he became my favorite character in the whole anime.

Limini

It's also in some manga translations

Limini

Also Iida straight up tried to commit murder which js illegal even with a hero license

Rebecca

LMAO did not expect the boys being mentioned in the comments

DietCocaine

yeah pickle chainsaw is the strongest in the verse

DietCocaine

don’t believe the propaganda All for one never really injured All Might. It was all pickle chainsaws doing

Pudding

41:13 why is that globe so juicy

stako

thanks boss

lawandao

They're not necessarily "skipping" the end credit scenes; they're saving it for the end of the year where they react and rank all the openings and end credits of all the animes they watched that year. They do this mostly because a lot of opening and endings have spoilers, so they avoid it by saving it all for later. Hope this helps!

Limini

It seems fine on my end

Ida Jallow

I think you're talking about op and ed songs. I believe this guy's referring to the occasional scenes *after* the ed (and before the preview). Probably.

Mdmarki

still no drop...

Should I have Ramen or Nachos for dinner yall?

Dio

WHERE IS MHA

Marlon Douglas

Guys they are going to drop the rest of season 2 in next video trust me ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Crystal

Nachos!!!

Nami Swannn

I think the word Carter was looking for was that Hero’s became commercialized ?

Sloth

When I watched it the subtitles said "You mutt" not "You dog", not sure what the actual Japanese was, but I think that makes more sense.

kiiturii

literally translated he said "this dog", the "you mutt" translation is localizers taking liberties to change the script for western audience, pretty sure it comes from the dub script.

kiiturii

it has hints of mature themes that are sometimes done well and sometimes questionably, but I don't think it's a very mature show just because of that.

Den Wolf

I think Stain is just a fool. who is trying to force his own view of what he finds heroic on others. By definition, you do not even need to be virtuous to be a hero, what stain is looking for is not heroes but saints.

khalxeesi

It’s becoming a really interesting commentary on performative activism and enforcement reform…way more politics than I thought there would be here. What actions constitute a hero and what is not useful. And then the use of a martyr to activate a grass roots cause, so many interesting relationships at play!

Rose Mary

As a new watcher, I can't see the video anymore? so sad :"(
