This was so depressing and heavy... I swear that's one of the most messed up games I've seen so far. Hyun-ju's death hit hard and Daeho's death was also sad. The Mom crying after her son died was hard to watch... This season got way darker than I expected it to be. Eeek Now I'm scared to see what happens with the rest of the episodes. I hate that Gi-hun stayed red and went through with the kill too, like giving the game/frontman what it wants - it reminds me of Sae-byeok trying to tell him he's not that kind of person, and not to do it in the first season, and I lowkey thought he wouldn't do it again in the end...but instead he ended up putting all his anger at himself and the game onto another player still (even if he did end up being sucky also) :(( And then the mom and son are so sad too...ouch 😭😭 I didn't expect it to begin with, but no way the grandmas getting outta the game now :((

Dae Ho's and MG Coin's actors are my favorite actors even though I've seen only one series before this from MG. Also I don't think it's because they are my favorite actors but I don't find them hateable at all. MG was just literally getting rid of competition. And I'm quite sure he cares a lot about 222 and the baby. It's not like you care about some random human's life in this situation. That's at least what I think. It's different for those who have gotten to know each other well though. And Dae Ho is labeled a rat by many for sure but to me he's one of the most relatable characters in the show. I know I would be such a scaredy cat also if I had to play these games. And when the mom stabbed his son it was the beginning of one of the saddest scenes I've ever seen in a movie or a tv show.

GiHun’s fixation on Daeho is making me crash out icl. Bro comes out with a terrible plan and then blames it all on the coward for not bringing magazines like it would change anything. He could have killed some O’s, actually save a lot of people, and then reconvene with the detective for a better plan. But he’s too selfish and dumb being washed by his own pride. And all of a sudden he’s okay with killing people. Bros original argument was that they shouldn’t fight each other. They should only fight creator of the games but now he’s switched up. Btw Gihun originally stopped the X’s with guns from killing Os which would have won them the vote. Gihun’s just such a hypocritical prideful narcissist it’s tough to like him. He chose to not visit his daughter despite having millions of dollars so at least he’s consistent 🤷

Gihun *could* go save his daughter from having a absent father relationship, but instead he decides to spend 2 years fixating on the squid games, only to throw away the chance to save 80 people by wanting to stop them John Wick style and then puts all the blame on the coward and kills him. Cuz the plan to overtake a military base with 10 people wasn’t foolish or selfish, it was just all the cowards fault lol.

Yes I thought that too. It's actually my favorite painting and favorite artist. I love Starry Night. I even a wrote a poem about in high school for my poetry class. But yeah it was a diabolical move... And the stars looking like a children's night light was even crazier. They really turned up like "Crazy" this final season. I felt very deflated after episode 2... :-( I had to get my mind off of it. Thankfully, the guys dropped K-Pop Demon Hunters on their Patreon whichis unexpected. But I'm a K-Pop fan so, you know I was down lol You should check it out. It's my second time watching the movie. I actually liked it more than I thought I would. Sorry for rambling. I feel like I always do when I'm talking to you, Anya. You're just easy and comfortable to talk to 🤗

Honestly, this episode almost killed ME! So much happened, so many people died... I can’t 🙈 I almost wanted Thanos’s magic pill by the end of it… This will be a long comment! 5:54 — “I totally follow her too lowkey” about shaman — You are a jokester, Mckay 😂 8:27 — “Rest in peace, gramma” — that was diabolical, Mckay! 12:55 — I’m not shocked that the crypto guy did it. He had it in him! For me, Squid Game Season 1 was the best. I liked a few of the games in Season 2, but Season 3, for me, is the one where I feel emotionless. 120 was my favorite player. I knew from the start that she was going to die, but the character who killed her is the one I hate. Anyway, in this season, I just feel like keeping my mouth shut.😐

@Sari-chan Yes but he also wasn't paying attention to who he was killing, and if he had been he'd have known Hyun-ju was the one who'd been helping protect them the whole time (also she was another vote towards getting them out), so it only ended up hurting them more than helping them - also he didn't really keep his word to Jun-hee either, he said he'd do what he needed to do and then prioritize finding and protecting her, but instead ended up spending more time just killing any blue team he set eyes on (which in turn also likely killed off a lot more x votes too). So in the end, imo his actions didn't help with the goal that our group has actually been pursuing, and he fell into the trap of the game + weakened Jun-hee's defenses, and so Hyun-ju's death was even more meaningless than if she had died to someone who had needed the point. It was just playing into the game and Front Man's hands

First thoughts on season 3: this shit is pulling on the heart strings. For me, everything has been great to watch and I'm really interested in how the outside people, as well as the rogue soldier, are gonna be integrated with the rest of the main cast. I have a feeling that will be the climax, and if they can pull it off nicely, I think this will be a great finale to this show.

Its weird how they dont want the son to kill the mother or other players in the room in this situation, it would be more sad for the mother to kill her own son when the parents are supposed to sacrifice everything for them and their future, maybe they couldve helped find the son another target but this was the shows intentions. disappointed with gi-hun because how could you possibly win against a whole military of soldiers with a few ammo and like 20 people😭 his plan had so many flaws because he knew it was a big island with a whole bunch of soldiers. they were outnumbered from the beginning. but he’s mad at daeho for getting scared as if those ammos could have made a difference🤦‍♀️ like player 001 knew their plan and was never gonna allow them to complete it !! they should have just went against the O’s but his so called “morale” kept him from doing it, but then look at him going after daeho. the writers did good showing what it looks like to deflect and have no accountability. you can tell daeho never did that out of malice or with horrible intentions. he was simply just scared and you can see the guilt + sadness when he saw the bodies. i really can’t get on board with the more hate for daeho than gi-hun for the plan he made. unfair reasons fr.

I was getting so frustrated with everyone in this episode. The casual conversations were so annoying. Why did Hyun-ju stand in the doorway, turn her back and talk for long enough to get stabbed. Also, why is the grandma handing the baby to her when she is supposed to stand guard. Just put the baby on the floor lol The mom killing her son was unexpected but I'm ok with it going that way. It dirties her character's angelic persona in a way that I think is good for the story. It would've been fine to just let him stay there till the time runs out and get killed by the guards for failing but this adds more spice to the plot. It also probably sets up the audience to not feel too terrible if she dies (I haven't seen the rest yet so just speculating). I don't even care what Gi-hun does because he's been a dumbass since he came up with the plan to infiltrate this place with no plan at all other than putting a tracker to get there. Time to see what's next I guess. I miss Thanos.

333 is the real villain here, because he killed evey blue person he saw, 007 had no one to kill ( i know its sick to put it that way). I'm so sad for Eonnie 120

This episode was very feral. I was so sad when 120 died. 120 was so goated for protecting them. It was also sad to see the mom have to kill her son. I feel like it wasn't all Dae Ho's fault, but not all Gi-huns either. But he needed someone to blame. I think this death will haunt him though. I was so mad at 333 for killing 120. Did he do it on purpose or did he not know it was 120?

I blame MG coin for everything. I don't think he's doing all the extra killing for junhee, it's all for himself. Like yeah he said it's so they can have a better life but he's still only thinking about himself cuz why did he prioritize killing more people then actually FINDING her. He does not care about her or at least cares about money more. It's also cuz of him and his lil buddy killing more blues then necessary that left the son with less options to kill.

I was so glad when the mum killed the son, he was literally gonna kill a baby, like why r people tryna defend him? Grown ahh man couldnt kill an adult but had no problem with a baby? Insane
