okay im 1:24 in I'm so early but I have to say this BTS is the highest selling kpop artist ever and one of the highest selling artist of all time. A lot of their fans are not kpop fans and just pretty much listen to them becuase they broke the mold of the average kpop band. They came out earlier from a smaller company they known for Deeper lyrics, writing/producing their own music etc.. they were in the military a lot of us are pretty grown now. They recently all completed the military service we all expecting a comeback soon! Very excited.

I’m loving this, if you guys want a more deeper song check out “Fake Love” it was released in 2018 and was the song that got me into kpop. It’s an older song but a very good one, with great visuals, story telling and lyrics. Excited for more kpop in the future!!

Been here since AOT and now you're listening to my favorite artists! BTS are on another level, listen to Fake Love, Black Swan, or On Kinetic Manifesto next for sure. BTS are the only kpop group to go number 1 on American charts and the only kpop group to ever be nominated for a Grammy. They went against the system and came out on top because of it, one of the best underdog stories in modern history.

also y’all are asking for a war asking if bts or blackpink are more popular but i’m sure you’ll see that in your youtube comments 💀 objectively i think bts are the most popular but blackpink are right under like two feet away. bts formed in 2013 but they didn’t “get popular” until 2016. that was the first time they won the biggest award you can in south korea for music and it was also the year i got into them. blackpink debuted in 2016 under yg and got big quick as most groups from what was known as the big 3 agencies (sm, yg and jyp) do when they debut. bts also just all came back from hiatus because the boys were doing their military service and the last few discharged the other month. so they weren’t active as a group for awhile there. before that they were all over and now it’s gonna happen again as soon as they release music lol

Fake Love by BTS next!!! You'll looove the cinematics in the music video, it's basically a story. And Mckay will love the darker vibe, probably. I'd actually recommend reacting to more than 1 song in an upload tho, 1 is too little haha. I won't be greedy, I'll ask for 2.. BTS has so many songs, there's everything lol. Depressing, nostalgic, happy, dramatic,... you'll be shocked by the diversity

This is so fire,, low-key though I think it might be best if you guys find what you like individually and then bring them to the table for the rest of the group to react to, if you’re planning on filming anymore KPOP reactions - that way you’re filtering out things you wouldn’t actually enjoy, and you don’t need to worry about pandering to/negative spamming from any specific fandoms,, I also think it would an interesting format a bit more similar to the origins of this channel, with some knowing whats good about a piece of media and others unaware, which is always fun in my opinion. As an ARMY though, SLAYYYYYY and I will NEVER be against listening to more BTS (DARK AND WILD supremacy)

I had a feeling you’d start with Dynamite! It’s definitely their biggest hit and one of the only songs that’s fully in English. It was made more for a Western audience as gift to fans before they were planning to go on hiatus (which didn’t end up happening), and they didn’t expect it to blow up the way it did. It’s a fun intro and definitely an easier entry point into k-pop, but it’s actually considered one of their “weaker” songs by many people (even though I personally love it). If you’re looking to see more of what BTS really has to offer, a lot of reactors go with the Mic Drop → Fake Love → Black Swan trio. It shows their range in sound, lyrics, and choreography. You’ll probably end up enjoying their b-sides and solo projects too!

So BTS are the biggest and best group there is no discussion. The rappers are real legit rappers being inspired by nas, jcole and Wayne. The rapline rm, Suga and Jhope write and produce majority of BTS music The vocal line Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook also write and produce songs for the group and their solo work. BTS we’re in the military since 2023 and during that time all 7 released a lot of music and concerts that broke records and they did this solo BTS lyrics are deep and and make you think. They pull concepts from poets, artists and writers. With BTS it’s not gonna be regular pop it’s always a message and meaning into everything they do. They also have a insane storyline that translates into MVs, book, webtoons, and games. Last year a kdrama was made on the storyline that’s how intense it is. I love all 7 but Jimin is my favorite and bias the one with the moves and high voice in dynamite. Ok I’m done yapping but I just love BTS 💜💜 Also there is no main character in BTS they are all main characters. All equally talented

Less popular? 😅 um no, but i guess people get tired that they are constantly breaking out of the normal "kpop" image, breaking records, being the #1 "kpop" pop group no contest check the #s and $ so they dont speak about them since they are already "hyped up?" 🤭 ⚠️ ⚠️ Also to get into the juicy drama of the kpop world, some fans of other groups can be so toxic they band together to make nonsense wars because they cant accept facts are facts, just a warning so please dont pay attention to their negative comments as im sure you know with other content you create. ⚠️ ⚠️ True non hypocritical fans are always going to thank you for your effort in getting to know them, as long as your respectful, and happy if you let us show you the amazingly kind and down to earth ARTISTS they are, feedback should be given in a positive note. It's too much too explain but hopefully you get to see/listen that there is so much different music/content for BTS as a group AND EACH of the 7 members that they themselves create/co-create. There are incredible fan made educational videos about their history and funny videos about their adventures/family bond. MUSIC: to begin this huge world you stumbled upon, the fair thing to do is vote on at least 2 different songs for EACH member as well as different genres of their group songs if you have time. For BTS many of us fans will wait forever just so we can prove to you they are different than other artists since their debut 2013 to now, always giving it their all on and off camera and staying humble 💜♾️

Hopefully I don't get forked for saying🤡 but I think Blackpink typically has more streams on YT cause they don't have that many mvs or songs in general. I believe this was their first all English song that they released during Covid, kind of as a fan service after their biggest stadium world tour got canceled. But it did too well - it earned them their first no. 1 on the hot 100, grammy nomination, etc., so they tried a couple more English songs. They all did extremely well and were at the peak of their career, but they were overwhelmed with everything and were having an identity crisis, so they went on a hiatus since like 2022, and then they had to enlist for the military. But they're back now, and I think they said they were finally releasing an album next year

I agree with McKay, it’d be really cool if you guys watched a video about how BTS got famous. Their journey is honestly amazing. They came from a tiny company that was on the verge of going bankrupt, and they faced a ton of ridicule for coming from the underground rap scene into the idol world. Despite all that they stuck to their roots—self-producing and writing their own music—and built something huge from the ground up.

Taylor's BTS Guide 45 mins but if you want a whole series there's nothing more detailed and amazingly professionally edited like THE RISE OF BANGTAN 🤯🤌🤌🤌 watch the first episode on your own if you want because I doubt it will be accepted as a group watch 🥹 and depressing songs? Your best bet is a solo song by Suga aka Agust D called THE LAST but its rap and a lot of reading, its an OG song. As a group would be Blue and Grey that I can think of right now. There are 3 rappers which have their own albums with different vibes each, RM is the thinker/poet lyricist, Agust D blunt no fear of cursing, J-Hope is a chameleon imo. I’d start with Fake Love, ON, Mic Drop, Black Swan, and Save Me. One big reason they’re so popular is their performance skills—their choreography and stage energy are next level. Live performances are where their talents really shine! I highly recommend checking out their Yet to Come concert on Amazon Prime (their last before hiatus for the military). It really shows the full scope of their skills and what they can do as artists—oh, and also how versatile their music is. ;)

Even though, I'm not that into their music as much anymore, BTS got me through some hard times. Their songs were healing and comforting at the time. They are 7 guys with beautiful and warm hearts who love their fans. Their lyrics and music uplifted and encouraged me to stray strong even when I felt like giving up. They made me feel less alone. But sorry not to be a hater, I'm just not that crazy about their english tracks. Info from my gf: Dynamite is a perfectly understandable first reaction as it's probably the most famous song, but I think if you want to continue deep diving into BTS you should go to their older songs! The guys just finished their military service, which it's probably why things have been on the quiet side, and no new group song has been released for a couple of years. Some personal recommendations that i think you'd enjoy: Group songs: Mic Drop, Fake Love, ON, Black Swan, Blood Sweat & Tears, IDOL, Cypher Series (4 different songs, this was the BTS being angry era and they just fired shots at rappers that looked down on them, the lyrics are hilarious. I'd suggest watching this after the documentary with some more context below) Documentaries: I would start with a fan made video on youtube; "A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7"; it's slightly outdated (2022) but a lot of good info. sorry for such a long comment😭 bts debuted in 2013 (formed in 2010) while blackpink debuted in 2016, so bts are older. bts consist of 7 members, 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and all of them are soooo talented!!! i get why you guys started with dynamite but this song is one of 3 songs only in english that was released in the pandemic to cheer people up, its not their normal sound at all lol. i recomend fake love, mic drop and black swan as a good intro :) if you want a mini story video you could watch "a guide to bts (for haters, skeptics and non pop-fans)" but there is a longer video like "A guide to bts members: the bangtan 7" which is a little older but still a really good video!

Also when it comes to comparing BTS and Blackpink. BTS is 100% more popular and influential. They are called the beatles of kpop for a reason. What they were able to accomplish, especially if we talk about where they started, is something that has never and will never happen again. BlackPink came later than bts (3 years later). They came from a huge company, during the time when girl groups weren’t as competitive as they are now (no shade to Twice or Red Velvet). The key difference is that BLACKPINK’s 3/4 members are fluent in English. As a group they have very little songs but they have a huge appeal towards the western audience. They are now the biggest girl group in kpop. While in BTS only 1 member is 100% fluent in English. They have a bigger fanbase but usually it takes a bit more effort to get to know them. But their discography is like x10 more than Blackpink. They mostly sing in Korean and almost produce all their songs by themselves (Blackpink don’t). I love them both and they are very often together in the conversation. But these 2 groups couldn’t be MORE different.

But you have to understand the lore first: the company under which Blackpink is was much more influential in korea (known as the big 3) than the company which founded BTS. So when Blackpink debuted in 2016 bts was not what they are now. The rise of bts was slow whereas blackpink was known from the get go. Also the reason why you might not have heard much about them is bcs they have been on a hiatus since ca. 2022 i believe. Because they started serving in the Korean military (its mandatory for 2 years for every korean man). All of them finished it just this month.

also!! for more information: bts debuted out in 2013 and blackpink debuted out in 2016 so bts is older. the bts members were all just in the military for 18 months (all able-bodied korean men are required to serve in the military for that long) so they were on a bit of a group hiatus. they just all returned within the past month and are gonna drop a new group album and tour next year while still doing their solo music too!

So I know that not everyone’s gonna agree, but I’d actually recommend just sticking with bp and bts for now, and not delving into multiple other groups simultaneously. I mean bts and bp are the biggest and most iconic groups in kpop. Hence, getting more familiar with their discographies first seems like a good and less chaotic intro. I love stray kids, seventeen, ateez, aespa, enhypen and etc, but it would be so cool if you took your time with trying out all of the groups. Although I haven’t been bp’s biggest fan recently (basically bc of lack of comebacks, effort and etc), I still feel like most of their songs are lit and most of them you’re gonna like. And bts, on the other hand, are just THE BEST group ever imo. From music to lyrics to their story. You guys gotta keep digging deeper with them, for sure!

I would recommend seventeen, they produce their own music majority of the time, they are self made idols. There are 13 members so it could get overwhelming but their music is so good. I would recommend BAD INFLUENCE it was pretty recent and it's so good. They are under the same label as BTS.

I don't really comment in any video but i've been here since your aot reaction (my favourite anime ever) and now that you are reacting to bts (my favourite artists ever) i just had to. They are amazing and if you decide to dive more into their music you won't have any regrets. To give you some context, they are 7 members: 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They are the most succesful and famous kpop group in history and thats probably why you have only heard of them, but they were in a hiatus for almost 2 years as they had to serve on the millitary service in their country. Now they all came back and they are getting ready for a new album that will come out next spring. Between Blackpink and Bts, the boys are more popular but blackpink is a close second. Lastly bts fans are called ARMYs and here are some songs recommendations: fake love, mic drop, i need u, spring day, butter and ON. They also have solo songs!!! BTS color is actually purple. BTS is on another level dude.... I love 'em. It's a seven member group with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. All of them can dance really good, but there are 4 members who are officially in the Dance Line. BTS is not a k-pop group. I'm not saying this literally, but because their music is beyond just k-pop. K-pop is korean pop, but BTS has all kinds of songs. Which genre you like, you'll find songs of that genre from BTS. Rap (slow rap, fast, smooth and rough, whatever kind you like), Hip-hop, Trap, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Synth pop, Latin-pop, and many more. When BTS came first debuted as a hip-hop group in 2013, they were criticized for wearing makeup and all. Then they showed the world what they were worth of doing and became the most famous boyband group ever. This is why not only fans, but other k-pop groups, media and even korean government says that "BTS paved the way". There's no doubt at all. They went to military and now every member is back. You'll see that they're gonna explode even more. Please react to more of their songs. MV's, Dance Practices, Performances, Guides, Run BTS (their variety show), Behind the Scenes and there's more to watch..... BTS fans are called ARMYs. I am an ARMY since 2016 and I still see the things that I haven't seen even once. What I mean to say is that they put so much content for their fans to watch. Thank you, I try but sometimes I feel like I'm being fake on here. You know like I'm putting on this facade of this "happy go lucky" person when the will me has so many more layers buried away. And I've just been feeling really empty and alone, missing my close friends. But my best friend who's like a sister to me has been too busy to hangout. She's been so drained, exhausted, overworked and naturally gets worn out when she gets home. I didn't want to add on to all that and get in the way. But yeah, we've been best friends for 14 years. We're the same age and always know what the other is thinking and feeling. People have called us kindred spirits. She's been slammed with working overtime and not having much of a break. Then when she does have a tiny bit of a break, she uses that space to be with family which is understandable. We haven't hungout in 5 months. I miss her dearly. However, I don't want to be selfish or greedy. It just hurts a lot and I feel all alone... And then I have another friend who I used to be close with. But she stopped responding to my messages. We used to tell each other everything too. I haven't spoken to her in 6 months. I stopped texting because, I didn't want to smother her. I'm trying to my best to respect her space. I feel as if I had too much emotional baggafe for her to gave to deal with and she eventually became burnt out and needed a clean slate. It's just that all this is leaving me to feel incredibly lonely and broken. They were the only close friends I had. With not being able to see them and talk to them in person, I feel a bit lost and disconnected. I know you're not supposed to build your life according to someone else and to have your own identity. But they were a big part of my life for so long. That being said, I still text my best friend occasionally but it doesn't feel the same. Sorry, all this makes me look pathetic probably and I'm embarrassed to share all this so openly. But it's you, so I'm making an exception. I've already shared so much with you. I might as well share this while I'm at it haha It's been weighing heavy in my heart though. I'm trying to not let it get to me but I tend to live my head and overthink things all the time. I'm relieved you understand. I was worried that sounded melodramatic. Thank you for understanding. My best friend texted me back yesterday but I haven't responded yet. This sounds awful but I feel kind of sad texting her when we can't actually hangout anymore right now due to her having a lot going on. I've expressed all this to her. And my other friend, I feel weird trying to get in contact with her after so long. Also, I feel scared and hesistant. And no I'm not in a relationship. I haven't been in one in several years. After my last relationship, I felt jaded and gave up on romance all together. I always end up messing them up somehow. I wasn't able to be vulnerable or completely intimate with him, physically or emotionally. It felt like we were on different wavelengths at the time. I just was afraid to give it up to just anybody without having a deep emotional connection and to someone that I love. I was trying to wait until marriage to honor God. But my faith isn't all that great anymore. I don't go to church. I haven't been in several years. I still believe in God but I also question my faith and religion in general. And in this day and age and how society pushes us to be a certain way, it makes me feel even more weird about it and isolated. But yeah unforunately not even a couple o hours, she's too busy or so exhausted from work and hasn't gotten much sleep. I feel better in the fall and cooler weather in general. It gives more energy haha The temperature affects my mood along with my pre-existing health condition. Yeah I want them to see all the versatility of Kpop. Because there's so many styles, beat switchups, genres, groups, artists, concepts, etc. It so vast.... lol Aww it's okay. I used to be a big fan of BTS but then I got into ATEEZ, NCT, and Stray Kids and I realized I vibed with their music style more. But Mic Drop is really good. However, I would still be most hyped with God's Menu and Thunderous. That's okay. BTS and Blackpink were my first groups I discovered. Then it was EXO, Astro, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, NCT, Enhypen, TXT, etc. But I love so many groups. It's just that Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and NCT are my favorites. And yeah it is fun amd nice to connect with other fans on her and share our interests and love for the music. I've loved K-pop since 2017. And I've been into Kdramas for a few years now probably 6 or 7. I've watched around 100 or so. I got so hooked with the characters, storylines, and themes, message in the shows. I l really like how emotionally invested it makes you. Haha

I don't think they'll never post another kpop video again, since that is not the main priority on there channel, but they said they did really enjoy it so even if we get another reaction to kpop we shouldn't have too high expectations on them prioritizing it. Even Solar and Moonbyul from the kpop group MAMAMOO choose J-hope when they were asked who they would be if they were to live as a BTS member and they said its because J-hope have like this positiveness that they want to feel or something. 3:38 - I know. When this song was released it kinda received some backslash comments from the kpop community including the media saying like is this even a Korean song, BTS is now being too westernize that they forgot they are Koreans, they are abandoning who they are blah blah blah.... 4:23 - Broo that is fineee you can compareee. Heads up tho, KPOP community have those toxic ones, the super biased ones who'd claim their favorite group is the best of all time, they will freaking fight you. But we don't care right? lol... 4:35 - Did I just heard 7 is a lot? I mean yes. But I'll wait until you get to know the group called NCT. 7:00 - Impressive indeed. In Korea, to became a Kpop Idol, that is the requirement. One must be able to sing or rap while dancing and looking good, I believe this sets Kpop Idols apart from any other singers/artists. Vocals, Rap, Dance, and Visual (this is the term they use for good looking) are the key requirements. It is quiet sad actually, that Visual is a requirement that must not be missed out because some kpop idols experienced too much body shamming both from their fans, non-fans, and their company itself. Kpop Idols have strict diets even before they were trainees and up until they debut, specially before and during their comeback or promotion periods. 8:00 - Yes please. Documentaries are good to watch. For BTS they have these the making videos of their music videos but most of it are not as detailed you might be expecting it to be. Be the judge. Would love to know your thoughts. 8:16 - Depressing song you say? BTS do have: * Spring Day : relays the pain of losing someone so dearly. There is a tragedy called the Sewol Ferry Tragedy that happened in Korea way back 2014 and many people are referencing it to the song because of the visual representations seen in the music video. Even though there is no official confirmation, RM stated that their song can be interpreted in many ways. A father who lost his kid in that tragedy even expressed “Without anyone knowing, BTS quietly visited our kids through their song and video. They showed us their unforgotten hearts. Yae-eun would’ve liked it a lot, too.” * The Truth Untold : it tells the pain of not being able to show who you truly are. * First Love : Solo song of Suga. This song is quiet personal for him. I am not sure what depressing song you wanted to see but these songs of BTS are some of the ones that carry loneliness, emotional and like heavy vibes. Oh and if ever you'll be reacting to these songs, watch the videos with lyrics, these songs don't have music videos except Spring Day.
