There are a lot of dubs in this war for the heroes: 1. They captured Gigantomachia, the strongest being in the villains side. 2. They captured tens of thousands of villains, including some of the top people like Redestro and Geten. 3. They killed Twice, who might just be the most dangerous league villain after Shigaraki. 4. They also captured Garaki, the doctor, so the villains can not produce more quirks or Nomus. 5. They did not let Shigaraki reach 100% and managed to delay it by a lot. Sure, there are huge losses, but let's not act like they did not achieve the majority of the things they set out to do.

I love this season. Shows how much Japan relied on the 'symbol of peace' and the consequences of it. Citizens and a lot of heroes got too complacent. They expect AllMight to always come save the day. They failed to recognize how much he sacrificed for everyone. Citizens need to stop seeing heroes as all powerful. They are people too

That’s so interesting. I’ve heard other people say this before too, but I haven’t even watched season 7 yet. I read the manga when it was coming out and a some of the events that happen in season 7 felt forced to me, not properly set up or just ridiculously unrealistic/ unnecessary, even within the world of mha. Maybe it’s a lot better as an anime? Especially when you don’t have to wait a week for the next chapter. Although I also found the second half of season 6 better in anime format than manga format. Why is season 7 your favorite? Is the animation great? The music? The voice acting? I can imagine it makes you look past some of the things I mentioned.

Literally every single thing in s7 is on a higher level to previous seasons. Animation, art, voice acting, music, pacing, moments, character development, callbacks etc.

One of my favorite parts about this last episode that is more subtext rather than upfront is Hawks realizing that the hero he idolized growing up for indirectly freeing him from a life of abuse is the same guy who was actually abusing his own children. Even after realizing that Endeavor was similar in this way to his own father, Hawks still decides to stand by him and believe him when most people in the country are turning their back on him.

This is why Hawks is my number 1 hero in this anime, despite his traumatic childhood, he still strived to be a hero. The way his father was his abuser, his mother never jumping in to protect him and to add insult she basically sold him. After all that, he never held anything against his mother & instead blamed himself that he couldn’t save her, just like with Twice. Then there’s his relationship with Endeavor who is his hero, the Todoroki family situation having similarities to his families dynamic is a shock but he didn’t falter in his beliefs. Hawks has many layers and yet he is just thinking about a brighter future

I think I've come to the realization that MHA is at its best when it turns into a daytime soap opera about the Todoroki family. Jokes aside the show is so good with the Todoroki family dynamic. The kids being shocked at seeing their dad weeping, Endeavor realizing that his guilt came too late to change anything, Natsu not even being able to look at Endeavor because even though he doesnt like his father he cant bear see him weak and crying, its all so good.

Yeah Hawks is great. I remember I used to think that he is basically a counterpoint to Shigaraki, his childhood is so much worse than Tomura's but he doesnt turn evil. I'm not sure if I can make that comparison anymore because this stuff is more nuanced, but it's still an interesting viewpoint.

Eh. It sets it up but I don’t think it explores it well. When a theme feels too daunting he ignores it (like he’s said for romance) and I think that’s kinda what happens here as well. After this Hawks’ character becomes static for act 3 and got totally brushed aside to play support..it was kinda disappointing that he didn’t spend time reflecting and feeling nuanced emotions to process all this. I wish he would’ve got to emancipate himself from the past instead of clinging to it just to make X character look better

Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best - and Pray to at least end up somewhere in the middle. It's a very good motto to live by. The way Carter is seeing the situation genuinely makes the most sense to me. It could have been better, sure, but it Definitely could have been worse, and the small victories that were made during the battle are worth a lot more than people think and should always be the focus when times look the worst. Dubs are dubs, you just gotta take the good bits you can find and keep moving forward yo - do better next time, use what you still have to win. Even if everything looks horrible, as long as one person keeps fighting, there's still a chance y'know? It's the All Might mindset imo

I follow many creators on patreon and some of them might not post for weeks and they could be charging more.
