I don’t really view it as one 😭 did that just cuz some ppl might,,,imo, if someone didn’t understand Kidd’s power, I don’t think explaining it would be a spoiler despite it not being officially explained. It just so happens Kidd’s power is much more straightforward and easy to understand. But same logic applies to me with Law (and it won’t get an official explanation anytime soon). Unless there’s purpose for its mystic, like with Lucci, Kuma or Doffy. So if ppl don’t care, they’re free to read more and clear things up, or skip it if they do.

Nothing random about it. The staff stores hot-air balls, cold-air balls, and thunder balls. With her weather knowledge and science, she can turn those into clouds. And as for where it came from, Usopp said he found it at some shop selling weird stuff from the Grand Line, then later upgraded it with the dials from Skypiea.

clima tact hate is so forced ngl (no offense to clima tact haters) but in a world with weird powers and ass pulls, trying to find logic in one particular character’s powers is weird. like we’re questioning nami’s clima tact but not how franky was able to turn himself into a cyborg alone and on the verge of death? or how koby had a full glow up in mere 6 months. can’t forget how making a triangle with his hooves can help chopper detect weak points. everyone was on board with the idea of dials in skypia but god forbid a girl get a stick to project things from instead of shells. the story is filled with weird powers, and if nami’s whole contribution was clima tact sure yall can hate on it but nami, usopp and chopper are not fighters. they’ll hold a fight when needed and that’s all that matters to me. (and no nami is not my favorite character in the show despite my pfp. mine is luffy followed by zoro then law)

manayer cannon is right, usopp actually did build it from scratch he didn’t buy it (refer to chapter 190-191) nami specifically asked him to build her something she can use to be useful during battle and he built it using the junk he buys from curiosity stores in any islands they go to. that’s why he’s always in the background messing around with junk. he made it first randomly not knowing what he’s doing and it was just party tricks and since it included hot and cold air, nami being familiar with the weather was able to use that to her advantage and came up with its actual current utility on her own. it gets improved by the introduction of dials, doesn’t make it more interesting to watch ngl. also cannon, you can hate on its concept or the way it was introduced. but calling it something that came out of nowhere is a reach. usopp was introduced as someone who makes shit up (literally and figuratively) he lies about stuff and he builds stuff. he even coins himself as an “inventor”. what was random was not the fact he made it, it was the fact nami found use of it. she literally went “oh shit it has weather properties? bet” i personally don’t like it and it never made me look forward to nami fights but it works for her and it’s not the most craziest thing i’ve seen or heard in one piece. (the clima tact and keel memes are still funny don’t get me wrong)
