Season 3 during summer 2019 was PEAK. You just had to be there. Stayed up ALL night

NMP

SirCatelot

Kat

no way I just finished watching 2x9 and then this drops. LETS GOOOOO

Sonicluis

I’m glad I join just in time for season 3. I rank them 4,3,1,2. Theres just something special about this season to me.

KrisSto

First time i open the app after a long time and it’s actually here 🥹

Klo123

sofi ✿

omg not while i’m at work 😭😭 how am i supposed to focus knowing the loml robin is finally here??

Spidey

Heyo

Rsbl

I love this season, I know it’s over-the-top but so were the 80’s 🫶🏻🙌

Jimmy

This is still my favorite season. I just remember the story never ending and the craziness that goes on later on. I still have my starcourt mall hoodie from high school 😭😭😭

Venus

wheres alice in borderland???

Chan

I love every season of Stranger Things but the tone/characters in S3 can feel like a different show with Hopper being the prime example. But it really stands out for the fun summer setting and the spectacle of the mall! My personal ranking is probably 4>2>1>3.

Klo123

El is on point every time 😂

Cat

Tbf to Mike, Hopper did keep El away from him for a year. Didn't even tell him she was ok. There's probably a little resentment still there. Plus he is a teenager. He's probably gonna be sarcastic and moody sometimes. I think Hopper was more out of line than him with the grandma thing 😂 He's freaking out the whole episode and he's supposed to be the adult 😂

Cat

The 80s theme goes hard in season 3. Love the vibes of this season

Bewit

i like this season, but season 4 is just the best, in everway possible

Cat

We've got the same ranking 4,3,1,2

Elle Andrus

The fact I shed real tears over S2 showed how deep we’re in it🤝🤝

Elle Andrus

Let’s go🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks+! Billy was kinda smooth with it.

Scarecrow

I feel like Hopper’s character is very different in s3 overall. It’s almost like he’s often shown through the perspective of Mike. A bit of a bumbling idiot which is completely not his character. The actor also purposely gained weight for the season to show he hasn’t been taking care of himself and to give him more of a “dad” vibe. He calls him Fat Hopper.

Nicholas R. Gonzales

Season 3 feels like a filler arc that’s canon. I don’t mean that in a bad way necessarily, I really like season 3, but it’s such a different vibe from the rest of the show. It almost feels like fan fiction. Just don’t take it too seriously and have fun with it

Peaches

I mean honestly Hop did keep Mike away from El for an entire year leaving him to think that she was not ok so obviously some resentment there on mikes part and I don’t blame him honestly. Also understand how over protective hop is over El as Mike is as well lol but Loveeeeee this season, there is just a vibe and feeling I can’t describe but s4 by far my favorite season!!!

Rsbl

Excited for season 3 & 4 with you 🙌 Season 3 is over-the-top like the 80’s and I love it, season 4 is the most darker

ninie

Based on the comments people say s3 really felt different, but that’s what I liked about it. Young, refreshing, finally leaving life .. idk it was some breath of fresh air to me and the vibes were so good!

Daniella

I really don't remember much from this season so it feels like i'm watching for the first time with you guys haha :) i feel like this episode definitely honed in on what it means to grow up and everyone's in a different mindset/place to and from each other so i agree it's not fun to watch but i like that it's a different start. Excited for the rest of the season!

Ty

Season 4 is the best for me

Tami

Season 3 is a great season but compared to other seasons, it feels the least serious but the most wholesome. Which isn’t bad, but just not my cup of tea. Season 4 is my favorite, can’t wait🧚🏽‍♂️

saida

most people in the comments seem to agree that the vibes in this season are unmatched, not necessarily better–just unique, and i think that's why it's so beloved. i, for one, am really excited for you guys to keep going. my favourite part about this season is how 80s it feels and the mall is SUCH a perfect setting for those exact vibes.

Conk

By Jay, does she mean gay?

maite˙⋆✮

Season 3 is def my favorite can't wait for more !!!1

Kay

I thought she was saying J for jealous

wadad sk

Don't remember season 3 at all but I'm so excited for you guys to get to season 4, it's sooooo good

cozo

i love how much cannon loves this show 😭 i'm with him ngl it's peak

Max Kerill

s3 budget is kinda insane, the whole season looks amazing

Booger
>>189010748

I would love for him and elle to react to it, any reason for me to rewatch the show

Jade

Season 3 is in the summer. So Nancy & Jonathan are going into their senior year after summer. Also Billy is not a minor, he’s 18 graduated. Same as Steve he is also 18 and graduated.

loontan

i honestly dont remember the plot to s3 so im excited to relive it with you guys. cant wait for s4!!

TheSauceGuy

They had to have those gas mask guys down below. SOMEONE had to get fried if the machine broke. Only one dude seems to be operating the machine itself.

Isaiah

season 4 is definitely the best season but s3 is my favorite i like how they switched up the vibes this season bc to me it’s realistic and i feel like it would’ve gone repetitive if they kept doing what they did the past 2 seasons, it’s so good, never get tired of rewatching it

josie

The fact that Cannon has seen all of the show but season 4 is wild. Season 4 is the absolute peak of the show and even saying that is underestimating it, it's that's incredible. Can't wait for the rest of the reactions! <3

Major

I stopped watching mid season 3. The fact that almost everyone loves season four is awesome news for me. Can’t wait to see what I’m in for.

Daniel Wesley

That’s just how government workers are. Twenty people standing around and one guy working.

josie

Same!! Getting to see their reaction to season 4 is going to be the best.

Riley

2026-10-08 00:00 I have to be the 1% who thinks season 4 is mid and season 3 is peak...

ninie

How is season 4 mid hello? Actually don’t answer to avoid spoilers

Tami

Considering how heavy the plot and story is in season 4, it’s not so surprising that someone might’ve missed some details and got lost tbh

Arctic_stark

The thing I appreciate about Season 3 is that it does some much needed world building by showing us the Mall, the newspaper etc. and establishes Hawkins as an actual town. Up until now, Hawkins seemed like a small hamlet with just a school, a Sheriff's office and a couple of houses where the entire plot takes place, with a population of 100. Overall I thought Season 3 was fine, but you can start to see the show becoming a bit of a parody of itself. The characters are often hysterical and over the top. Back when this season came out I remember thinking they should end the show right here as its only going downhill. If it wasnt for the fact that Season 4 is absolutely superb and revitalizes this show, I would probably recommend people drop this show after season 2.

Peaches

I still have hope that ep2 is coming…👀

Garreth

S3 is my favorite just because of the summer 80s vibe and how vibrant things are

Anton Sakshaug (Jancked)

Steve's failed rizz, exploding rats and Russians was not on my season 3 bingo card. I wonder what will happen, didnt like this first one that much ngl

leen

i LOVEE DOWNN season 3 !! its my fave along with season 4 !! it may seem a bit slow now but just you wait !!XD

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

Don’t remember 4 either 😂 only thing i remember is the “music dude on the bus” to keep it vague, but nothing story wise lol so this is an essential rewatch

Mahaleigh

Yesss Season 3 we're entering Peakkk and more Peakkk with season 4!!

Richie Sour

I see a lot of these comments are saying season four is the beat which is really interesting, I liked season 4 but I feel like season 1 absolutely clears

Jasmin☆

elle is always on top of it when it comes to predictions 🙂‍↕️

Luke Fox

Season 1 is definetly the best, season 4 revived the show from the lows of season 3. I hope season 5 is great.

Richie Sour

Fr I really hope season 5 is good

Luke Fox

I don't even think the show takes itself seriously in season 3 tbh

Remi

I’m not sure if anyone said anything yet about the timeline but the opening with the Russians takes place June 84, while the snowball is December 84, this season takes place July 85 so it’s 7 months since the snowball but a year from the cold opening. So Nancy and Jonathan are going into their senior year, while the party are beginning high school. Steve and Billy are a year older and already graduated.

S Moonchild⁷

First time they mentioned Mormons in S2, I didn't google what it is. Second time mentioning it, were they big around 80s? Why don't they just say Christians? seeing kids we watched grow up on screen make out made me feel weird, I am with you Hopper on that. So far Chernobyl was the most accurate representation of Russians in American media, let's see how they handle it here. I also think they want to contrast capitalism vs communism, by showing Mall and businesses. Maybe they will show Russia's side as well

Laura

This seasons my favourite and I love the new characters, it’s also the funniest season imo. And I loved the mystery aspects.

MaraReaper

They don’t just say Christians because Mormonism is a specific branch of Christianity that has strong differences from other major branches of Christianity like Catholicism or Protestantism. Different beliefs and lifestyle, which is relevant when they mention Mormons in the show.

MaraReaper

I’m sure the Geks can tell you more specifically though, they are Mormons lol

S Moonchild⁷

I didn't know Geks were religious. I have very limited understanding of Christianity, but it seems like there are multiple branches in the US, that haven't reached my side of the world. Thanks for explaining

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

8:27 — Elle: “In every movie Russians look ominous.” — Speaking as a Ukrainian who’s lived near a war zone for 3.5 years already — they’re ominous and dangerous in real life too, unfortunately.

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I love Billie and Mrs. Wheeler’s dynamic and that sexual tension between them! That was short, but spicy) Elle’s astonished face at 21:49 sent me 😅😅😅 But seeing the whole couch cringing during their scenes was pretty hilarious hahaha

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

33:07 — Carter: “Mike is looking rough.” — What do you mean? The actor just got growing up!

Tiga

Steve's coworker at Scoops Ahoy (Robin) is Maya Hawke. Her mom is Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke is her dad! That's prob why she may seem a little familiar :)

rayman

lows of s3? I loved s3, the summer 80s vibe is just so cool for this show

❥ rina

s3 is a fan favorite, but I'm in the minority and I don't love it at all. It's a fun, face-value entertainment of a season. But good vibes and good budget weren't enough to win me over. How some of you guys reacted to some of the scenes was very similar to mine when I first watched it (4th of July 2019). The issues I had/have with it are unfortunately too glaring to overlook--like in my opinion, many of the characters/ character arcs feel a bit out-of-character or "off", as you may or may not have noticed (most noticeable is Hopper, lowkey. Which sucks because he was one of my favorite characters before s3). Again, it's fun tho and I can't wait your reactions & thoughts nonetheless!! I don't want to spoil, so don't continue reading this if you don't like soft-spoilers: But I felt like s3 was a sign the show was going downhill back in 2019, so it's great thing I still gave s4 a chance in 2022, because it "revived" the show for me, and fixed many of s3's faults. Definitely peak

Kim 555

Girl why would you comment a spoiler?? Elle and Caden literally read the comments

Segen

Not a spoiler 😭😭 he literally essentially died in this episode and that was what I was referring to, calm down

Olivia

Imo season 4 was the worst season I didn’t remember any of the plot lines I hope they pick it back up season 5

Olivia

I’m with u gang 😭😭

Dreamville Paul2x

The Mall that this is filmed at is literally 2 mins away from my house

Keith Jones

people don’t like this season because of hopper and the kids being different but i love it. it feels real. kids grow and change and dads of daughters lose it when they get their first boyfriend. friends find girlfriends and stop wanting to hang out with the group. and that letter at the end makes it all worth it
