TIME FOR THE CHUNIN EXAMS

Cannon Andrus

This arc is the most anime esque arc and I absolutely love it. So excited to see what happens !!

Ayoodude

Hunter x Hunter jr

Nomaan

Completely irrelevant however I just came back home after meeting Emilia Clarke at ComicCon. She told me I smelt lovely and my Targaryen hoodie was an excellent choice. I can now die happy.

Seth Aasland

@11:52 this is so funny because I recently got back into Wizard101 after not playing for over 10 years. Currently in Krokotopia

Mitch

That’s so awesome, she seems like the most genuine and nice person

Kadence

"57 isnt divisible by 3" LMAO

Daniella

Ahh new arc i'm so excited it's so so good!!! Only 10 episodes of peak left 🙂‍↕️

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Please watch the opening in your next anime stream! It’s goated

Qhoa

W

Harley

peeeaaak

Harley

watched the start of JJK 3 today. holy crap i am so excited

Hard-B0iled

I know you already love the show but this arc will REALLY make you love it haha

misa

Denken!! 🐐

Brikena

„There are more castles in Germany than we have McDonalds in the US“ took me out🤣🤣 Show your source Cannon👀

kosoihas

just saying stuff

Oromis

Google at least says an estimated 20.000-25.000 castles in Germany, and about 13.600 McDonalds in the USA, so seems to check out.

Ryan D

Land my 🐐

Styx TV

based as fuck, I just got back into it recently too

HeavenlyR

Green hair receptionist with glasses!!! my goat

GBuckets

This is my favorite arc, its so peak, lets goooooo!!!!

Half_-Face

Think you guys glossed over the part of dialogue when the proctors talked about the green haired killer girl named Übel. They said she failed a second class mage exam two years ago, because she killed the proctor that held it.

eiden

so wizard101 stream when?

Brikena

That’s insane🧍🏻‍♀️I don’t know what’s more shocking, the amount of castles or the lack of McDonalds. I honestly thought the US would have way more👀 Anyway, sorry for doubting you Cannon🫡

Yuion

I know its said almost as a sidenote but frieren said "something pretty serious must be happening on the northern plateau" Very intriguing

Sylisen E.

peak arc has begun !!

alex anderson

The username fits lol. I don’t think they will care about her until they see what a first class mage looks like put next to frieren. It’s like in jjk where even though strong sorcerers are first grade, it’s harder to appreciate if your used to staring at gojo first

Cannon Andrus

Mmm hmmm that’s what I thought!!!

Yuion

A sonic boom happens when you reach the same speed as sound. Basically you produce a sound, but the sound travels at the same speed as you so the air vibrations build up creating a boom sound. Roughly speaking

alex anderson

I like how this arc is opening up the viewers to what mages are like outside of frieren and fern, but also opening up frieren to types of people or personalities she may or may not be familiar with. Up until now ever since frieren came back 50 years after they defeated the demon king, she’s only ever had noteworthy interactions with her original party members or people similar to them. Fern and stark are obvious, but Kraft is similar to herself and heiter, sein is similar to herself, and there are probably other examples. Itll be interesting to see if she can learn something from people who might be completely different from herself.

Iggy

My man said it with such conviction lol

Jeff

Stoked for the reactions to this leg of the adventure!🐦

Nomaan

She really was despite being sooo busy. 100% worth it

Jason Pham

The reason why people don't recognize Frieren despite her being with the party of heroes is you wouldn't expect her to be taking an exam. Imagine you play pick up bastetball with prime Larry Bird. You won't immediately recognize him because you don't expect him to be there.

GBuckets

I think you guys are overestimating Freiren's abilities outside of combat. Yes she is an extremely powerful mage, especially in combat, but she isn't a Jane Doe character that can solve every problem with ease. Throughout the show you guys were wondering if she could just use her magic to solve a problem, but she doesn't. Freiren is very nonchalant but I don't think she has held back once in the show.

Pudding

Omg you know what. I WANT A GEK VLOG WHERE THEY GO ON A RANDOM ADVENTURE IN NATURE or to an abandoned place

Half_-Face

You right, but usually that line gets at least some reaction out of people so I just wanted to bring it to their attention in case they cared about that

Rico

I’m on a flight to Japan with the worst WiFi ever trying to watch peak. Lord help me.

Half_-Face

Love this show & know you’re talking about Lawine/Kanne probably, but to me at least it was a super tiny plothole. How the fuck would a mage proctor not have heard about THE Frieren? Elves are super rare as is and surely they’ve at least heard the name on top of most probably having come across a statue or drawing of her during a point in their lives. I’d get young mages not giving a fuck about an old hero like Frieren, but come on the Procotors themselves?

alex anderson

Yeah your not wrong it is a crazy line if you think about it.

mina

enjoy japan!!🥳🥳

Pudding

I totally agree with Clarification Guy

Pudding

Omg the stuff about the castles in Germany compared to the Mcdonalds in the US is crazyyyyyy

alex anderson

I like that magic is thought about it in practical terms within the verse. Is it practical to fly and waste all my mana when I’m not in a rush to go anywhere? Probably not. We also don’t know, or at least I can’t remember it being said, how mana works relative to energy. Can you just not use magic, or do you get twice as tired if you run out? I like the power system in this anime for this exact reason, it’s very grounded and allows for actual variance when it comes to skill and battle outcomes.

Jason Pham

I mean here's how I see it. I have a MS in electrical engineering but I can't tell you what Claude Shannon (the father of information theory and signal processing) looks like. You learn about them and especially in their universe, you don't really see them. There are likely only 10 statues in the world of frieren. You're more likely to think nothing of it or assume they are another person with the same name

Rico

Thank you! The flights killer but I’m excited.

Vlad Blue

I don't know that I'd call the one in JJK an exam. It was an exchange event, so it was more like a competition. From what I understand a sonic boom is sound catching up with movement. Think of it like thunder and lightning; thunder is the sonic boom lightning is the movement. You see it before you hear it. At least I think that is what Cannon is meaning when he says he doesn't understand what a sonic boom is. Now there is a much more scientific explanation but I'm not the one to give it.

That Guy

Except the mage proctors have heard of frieren, they just don't know that that is frieren.

Half_-Face

My bad you actually got a point. I forgot that when they looked at her they didn’t have her name yet, so they couldn’t know for sure but of course they probably know who Frieren is by name. Still a little silly because for sure they’ve seen some depiction of her somewhere, but fuck it not as a big of a tiny plothole as I initially tried to make it seem

Booger

Green hair girl (Ubel) is my goat 🙌

Sky

Lawine and Kanne being unaware of who Frieren is is understandable when you consider that people their age in real life likely don't know who WW2 heroes are and that was also 80 years ago. Audie Murphy was one of the most famous soldiers of the entire Second World War, a Medal of Honor Recipient with a crazy story behind it who also became a well known actor after the war. Literally one of the most famous Americans of the 20th Century and arguably America's greatest war hero and I bet most kids on a college campus wouldn't know he is. People fade into obscurity a lot faster than you would think. Even more so when the person in question is a reclusive elf who isn't leaving statues everywhere in her wake like Himmel, lol.

Tay

11:50 Carter the boys know about wizard101👀🔥

jrnoodles

Thanks! The first-class mage exam started! Hype!

relyct

As a German, can confirm this. Though we also have quite a lot of McDonalds here. Most city centers are built around castles, so not every castle is as grand as people imagine, a lot of them are actually pretty small. In elementary school, we even went on week-long excursions to them and slept there. And students often use them as cheap spots to hang out and drink.

relyct

Every good anime has to have the bickering duo, who would always pull up for each other if needed. Zoro and Sanji, Kanne and Lawine... 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Killua X

there's going to be a lot of power scaling moments that they'll see in the remaining episodes that I'm sure will give more understanding into how magic works in the show. And Frieren was telling the truth when she said she's been defeated 11 times by mages with *less* mana than her. There's a lot to unload there.

Killua X

it's also been 80 years. would we honestly recognize heroes in our own world from 80 years ago?

corLeonis

ok, NEXT EPISODEEEE hahhha

Navri

Ur gonna love the characters they're all so interesting

Emmanuel

It makes sense Frieren isn't as recognized as it feels like she should be. The Hero's Party beat the Demon King 80 years ago at this point. People might know Himmel by name, but asking someone who the priest, mage, or warrior in that party was would be like asking anyone today (who isn't a history buff) what famous generals won decisive battles in WWII.

Cryptcat

cannon's 6 7 caught me off guard bro

Chosos Wife

ÜBEL IS MY FAVE 💚💚💚💚

Herman Salvesen

I still think the jjk event has the same premiss. Its an event to introduce a lot of new characters and show their abilities. Even tho its not the same thing, it still serves the same purpose in the show. We get to see how strong the main cast is compared to the rest of the world. We also get a look into how the worlds power system actually works. In frieren its this exam, jjk has the exchange event, in HxH its the Heavens arena, in MHA it the entrance exam and UA sports festival, demon slayer has the final selection to become a demon slayer. The list goes on and on. Almost all Shonen have this because it a good way to introduce new characters and show how everybody scales to eachother. I always like this part of the show because i like to power scale and theorize about who is stronger and how far apart characters are in strength. I can see how this can become boring tho since its done every single time in fighting anime.

christopher

dude episode 21 is my fav

zakitachi

Hi guys ! No steins gâte This week ?

Vlad Blue

I had not thought about it in that sense, and what you said makes sense. It is something that is very common, but I still find them interesting every time, because you sometimes get to see more powers/skills from the main cast that I don't know we would get to see otherwise.

Sul Zam

57/3 = 19 lol

Dingo

How much I gotta pay for a to be hero x reaction?!

Coen

is steins gate delayed?

Alan

3:05 I refuse to believe what jack just said

Alan

I just looked it up he wasn’t capping it’s nearly double. That’s insane

7thdilemma

"57 isn't divisible by 3." *me wondering how 3 somehow gets to 60*

KA

It's me... Looking at Studio Gek's uploads this weekend, I can see that Stein's Gate is missing. This is clearly a plot by the Organization to sabotage the Juicy tier and get everyone to turn on the Geks. Reinforcements needed immediately. El Psy Congroo.

Animeke

I think they missed the remark that Übel failed her second-class mage exam when she killed the first-class mage who was proctoring it. No comment or reaction whatsoever lol.

Yoshi

Def the NHK bro

Dakota

This arc is surprisingly good. Can’t wait for season 2

McKay Carter

Definitely noticed but it wasn’t very surprising lol

McKay Carter

And yes Steins Gate is delayed, we posted about it in the Naruto chat, we will do a double drop next week. Sorry guys!

victoria t

Frieren is very easily holding back and that becomes obvious as the show goes on

Chrissy

Chrissy

What a flex 😭

Animeke

If you're saying it's not surpising that a murderous person killed someone, I agree with you there lol. But come on, she killed a 1 of 46 (now 45) top-tier mage, I think that's worth some acknowledgement lol.

Vinny Deluca

I need you guys to watch the new Bahubali Trailer

Nasty

they recently dropped/paused like 10 shows so i doubt we will get to be hero x anytime soon. Maybe in a year or so sadly

GBuckets

Are we getting freiren today?

corLeonis

Frieren drop? I need something before heading to work 🤣 something to set my day 😁

PaggyArts

Is it the organization? They've attempted sabotage yet again.

Dingo

That's just criminal......lol

Bisky

The show really switches up here and it's soooo good

Jenny D

This ARC is pretty good. Excited to start it!

Alexa

4:36 almost made me crash out 🤣🤣🤣

sil 🧸ྀི

carter's side quest slice of life vlog in the mountains in an abandoned cabin... u know i would like to see it

Jmann

I LOVE THIS SHOW

KDavey

the 67 joke had me cackling

MissJodles

The trick to figuring out if a number is divisible by 3 is just adding the numbers together. For 57, 5+7=12, 1+2=3. If the total is 3,6 or 9, it’s always divisible by 3.
