Deku was stronger than All Might. At the beginning, the weather lady said the skies across the US were clear and there were still gusts of wind. That was because of Deku's punch; it's the strongest feat in the entire series.

There's a lot of fighting still about Deku losing the quirk, I'll just say it would make no sense from a writing and story standpoint for one for all to still exist after it did its job. I really think there is no valid argument against one for all being gone.

Bakugo crying because he felt like his rivarly with Deku was just starting was so sad to me. I was once again spoiled a year ago on Deku losing his quirk and I didn't know the full context so i was quite upset because he'd only had it for a year, him out of everyone deserved to have a quirk. But watching it all come together it makes sense, OFA fufilled it's purpose and i do feel it might have been another All Might situation where the gap in power would have been too much for anyone to keep up with, it's a full circle story so i'm fine with it :)

The ending of the Todoroki family was nice too. I think Natsuo's feelings are very realistic tbh his feelings of abandonment will never fully go away and seeing his brother - the one he was closest to - on the brink death which he probably blames his dad the most for just complicates his feelings more on their whole relationship, so he'd rather not have one, and leave that trauma in that past to move on with his life. But the fact that Shoto and Toya like the exact same food and then he says sorry, you can just feel how regretful he was after everything 😭 one of the best family dynamics in all of anime

I know the name is “The Hellish Todoroki family” but I honestly think this was a little too hellish. Touya’s an awful person, but I honestly feel like this is too much of a torturous fate for anyone. Being stuck in a room with no access to the outside world, slowly dying, and hardly able to talk. I know he said there were still things he wanted to talk to the family about, but this is just a downright cruel way of doing it. I get he deserves punishment, but this is a lot. Also it’s nice to see that Endeavor is FINALLY gonna actually try and talk to Touya. Took him long enough. Also at the very least, I’m happy for Shoto finding his place and getting the closure he needed. He deserves a happy ending.

I TOTALLY get what you're saying. But he's a criminal that's killed over 30 people, they were going to lock him up if he was alive. The fact that he gets to be in this high-tech facility in a life sustaining capsule and gets to talk to his family that actually want to talk to him is honestly one of the best things that can happen for him with what little time he has left. It's more a kindness than a punishment imo because they could've just thrown him in a cell and locked the door or executed him.

Well yeah, I’m obviously not looking for a happily ever after. But in terms of him getting to talk with the family, I dunno this is just such a twisted way to do that since he can’t even talk back very much. I get some could see it as a privilege, but he’s also now regretting everything and will be stuck in the dark for most of his days so like… that capsule feels like more of a curse than anything. Even though he’s an awful person that deserves consequences, there’s a point where it starts to feel like overkill to me.

The Todoroki’s is an incredibly real send off and I’m glad we got that, I guess there is a glimmer of hope for the brother like Jack mentioned, but for right now it’s understandable that he doesn’t want anything to do with Endeavor. And it may never work out, but I don’t want him to live with anger, but that’s why the Todoroki’s story is one of my favs cause it’s real life

I don't think he could move very much outside that capsule anyway. Like, boy is charred inside out. I'd think keeping him contained and away from germs/bacteria from anywhere and anyone makes sense to sustain his life as well. But yeah I understand, it hurts because like you said, he's regretting so much and his remaining time has to be spent like that. He's putting up a front but he's really affected by seeing his family, obviously. I would hope, canonically, when he does pass? He's not inside that capsule and his family can touch him.

something i love about this show is that they always reuse characters when they can, even if they're just minor background ones who we dont see often. i recognized a few from different parts of the series and movies during the reconstruction. it just makes the mha world feel a little more immersive. Mawata Fuwa is the pink hair girl that referred to aizawa as "old eraser." ik im saying the obvious but we've heard in previous seasons that aizawa is very strict, and will even go as far as to expel entire classes of students. there has been many recurrences of aizawa saying that he would expel people as a logical deception for them to try harder (s1 midoriya ball throw), so seeing someone who actually did get expelled and then re-enrolled was a nice detail. and then of course, shoto asking toya about his favorite food is a callback to some parts of s5 and s7e5 ("I don't even know what he lies.. in that case i will have to eat some with him (udon)") also toya actually cried actual tears even though his tear ducts were burnt. not blood this time.

After non stop fighting and sorrow since the start of season 6 it’s so nice to get some wholesome post war stuff to wrap things up, Bakugo crying made me cry even more than in the manga and Deku panicking not knowing how to react in that situation is so cute

Maybe we will get lucky and they'll animate even more content beyond the manga? Cannon and Jack brought this up, and I wanted to add that I feel like Bakugou and Shoto are somewhat evenly matched. Bakugou for sure has the edge because of the quirk awakening stuff and how insane his fight with AFO was, but he also got wrecked physically, so that could hold him back a bit (knowing Bakugou though, not for long lol). But I think the reason it feels like Bakugou has pulled so much ahead is because his whole character has always been built around getting stronger and stronger. Meanwhile, Shoto’s been way more tied up in the Todoroki Family subplot and learning to actually accept and use both sides of his quirk. He spent many years not using his fire, so his growth curve is much different. Bakugou’s spent his whole life refining his quirk, while Shoto’s still figuring out how to balance both parts of it. So yeah Bakugou’s definitely shining more because the story has actually shown his breakthroughs, and Shoto’s had way less spotlight the past several seasons. But in terms of raw potential, I think they’re closer than people believe them to be.

Deku did surpass All Might, that’s been outright confirmed. Besides, All Might being “the strongest” was never the thing that made him legendary anyways. The last few seasons have shown that even without his muscle form or a quirk he’s still one of the greatest heroes because of how he mentors and how he inspires. Deku passing him doesn’t change that at all! It's just the nature of OFA and Deku's character.

I don’t want to give my full opinion until we finish the show, but I love how Deku returned to being quirkless. It’s really fitting as having OFA is never what made him special or the worlds greatest hero. The whole story started with Deku being told he could never be a hero because he didn’t have a quirk, and he still pushed his way into UA anyway. At its core MHA has always been “the quirkless boy who became a hero,” so having him start quirkless and end quirkless feels like a clean full-circle. It proves the exact point the show opened with: you don’t need a quirk to be a hero, you just need the heart for it.

Bakugou crying got me. Him realizing that the relationship they’ve had their whole lives, from being little kids to the bullying to becoming real rivals, might suddenly be gone. You can see the realization that this bond he’s built with Deku (probably one of the most important relationships he’s ever had) might not be the same anymore. I’m glad they were able to smile after though, that Bakugou gets that their friendship isn’t disappearing just because Deku’s quirk is. They’ll still push each other, still be rivals, still be friends. It’s so awesome to see how far they’ve come. They were once best friends and now they finally are again.

I saw a comparison online of the scene where Bakugo first found out Deku had a quirk and was crashing out, to the moment in this episode where he found out he was quirkless and was crying. The character development is sooo satisfying

The conclusion to the Todoroki Family storyline this episode was perfect. Them getting the chance to visit Toya (but pls let’s put him outta his misery bruh), Endeavor saying that he was finally watching Toya and that he’s going to spend the rest of his life atoning, and then the whole soba part from Shoto. I’m glad the show didn’t take the easy route and suddenly make everything okay. Rei and Fuyumi are maybe ready to forgive because that’s how they move forward, but Toya, Shoto and Natsuo standing their ground is just as valid. People heal differently, and the fact that the story actually respects that (and doesn’t pretend Endeavor can just redeem himself) makes it better. He doesn’t deserve forgiveness, but he does deserve the chance to atone. It’s messy, painful, and hopeful in the way real family stuff is, and honestly it’s one of the best written parts of MHA. What a wrap!

Deku was the greatest in part because he actualized the potential and purpose of one for all. One for all means giving yourself for everyone, and each person gives themselves for every other person. Allmight was great, but he wasn’t the highest iteration. Because he shouldered the burden alone. His method was good, but incomplete. The highest principle is to shoulder the burden together, each person shouldering everyone else’s burden. That’s why Mineta said “WE are here” Unironically, the true one for all was the friends we made along the way.

With Fa Jin and Gearshift Deku was definitely stronger than prime All Might and that was only at 40-50% OFA power output and the power that comes with OFA is increased every time it's passed down so at 1 to 1 it's stronger for Deku. 100% output for Deku would be insanity, would've made light work of AFO and Tomura.

Toya isn’t recovering McKay, they mentioned when they showed him that he’s approaching death and this is all they could do to keep him going for the little time he has left. Tbh they should’ve just let him rest, this is extremely cruel imo. Maybe they are also questioning him to make sure there’s nothing else going on with the villains that they didn’t account for during that final battle or this was on Endeavor’s request.

At first, when the other vestiges told Deku he had to give OFA up, I was pretty upset not gonna lie. But the writing of his final battle and the whole class coming together was so beautiful it changed my mind. He's a hero because he lifts everyone up and he's such a kind person who never gives up that you can't help but root for him, and I think Horikoshi did an amazing job of showing that. The scene where Katsuki cries gets me everytime. The growth that he himself has had and the growth of their relationship is one of my favorite things in the entire series. Regarding the Todoroki family, it's such a heartbreaking scene but I think it's the best possible outcome for them. I think it's such realistic writing that every family member had a different way of dealing with the trauma they went through. Natsu is doing what he can to protect his own peace and future, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. And I think he finally saw Endeavor as cool because he was firm in protecting his family even though he would go through Hell with everything out in the open. He was a man who was actually stepping up and acting like a father.

It was yesterday I was running around the house hyped after having just seen Deku x Todoroki on weeklies 10 years ago. To think Bakugo would be getting this reaction out of me, some nice wrap ups. Regardless if I think the villains’ endings were subpar some of the wrap ups of so many character arcs feel deserved and satisfactory

I was sad that Deku lost his quirk, but at the same time I am happy because I think having that quirk long term might have left him incapacitated. He definitely got stronger, but it also did some damage to him because he had to use more of it quickly to defeat the Villains. I don't blame Natsuo for still not wanting anything to do with his father. I also don't think he meant none of the family would meet his girlfriend. I think he just meant Endeavor. He also still has time to change his mind in the future. He is still young. I won't say Endeavor didn't make strides to atone, but I get why he still feels like has more to atone for in regard to Toya and his family. I think it is good that he is trying to make up for the past. I am curious to see what we see next. I also wondered how Deku is still in class 1? I know he has some Embers left, but I would think he would have to switch to general studies.

I know you guys have binged it so its been an overall shorter journey but its crazy when you start these shows when they start and after years and years of the characters lives being in your mind, they finally come to an end. So many shows get cancelled along the way too. Happy this one made it.🔥❤️

I was putting these last two episodes off because I knew I was going to cry like a little bitch 😭 and I did, and it was amazing. God, I'm so so glad I got to see these episodes with you guys. I've been watching MHA for years and it's so wild to know it's finally coming to a close too - I'm so glad you guys stuck with it, absolutely one of the best anime of the year imo
