No Tap

How we feel about LeBron not being an all starter?

Silentwtf

i need the finale now lmaoo

Trae Young Supremacist

the pillars i think keep him weak so when its open he doesnt need to hibernate

No Tap

Lots of lessons from this show

Dounia

The military plot is dumb BUT it would 100% happen in real life if Pennywise existed so in a way it makes sense… it doesn’t make what they’re doing right or even smart in any way but it’s pretty close to what would actually happen

Silentwtf

they aint even know how peak next episode is

BipolarKitten

1:41 Cannon just burned 500 calories trying to open 200 calories worth of chips 💀

ainsley

i’m gonna wait for the last episode to make a solid opinion, but … this show is not peak 😭

Arallius

are we getting one piece today?

Safaricat

I love how optimistic you are Jack about them trying to find the people who did it. The fact that it was already covered up as an electrical fire means everyone is in on it and okay with what happened. To them they got rid of a bunch of colored folk and a "child killer." Also in the novels I think there is a racist cult in Derry and the surrounding cities. Crazy how Phil's dad did all this to get the man that "killed his kids" however in turn killed a kid, just goes to show how twisted this whole town is.

SuperChuckABoo

Yah, I mean our military did drop nukes on an entire country and you can think Pennywise as a nuke. The whole thought process from the military is that violence and fear will make everyone kneel.

DonDuh103

Y’all went on a grind tonight with drops much appreciated!

Dontsop Keran

Pennywise already cemented himself over Vecna

Daniella

The racism being horrifically realistic is the scariest part of the episode for me…apparently in the books the men in the masks are actually klan members and showed up in white robes and hoods

Daniella

Richie 😭 it’s so sad but i’m also glad he wasn’t taken by pennywise his soul got to rest peacefully

Chanty Doodles

Jack & Mkay seem very confused still about the entity & what was said lol like how could IT spit out the dad. It was clearly established that IT was an alien, millions of years old, IT takes forms of anything. IT also doesn't need fear to kill anyone either or have two personalities like Jack said. Ingrid never said her dad had personalities she just been used and manipulated to think IT was her father. That's exactly why IT laughs in ep 6 when Ingrid first calls him "Papa". IT realized who she thought it was and found it hilarious then took advantage. IT only resisted eating her because she was useful to his feeding. Ingrid created a massacre and more for him, even having an affair with a black man. Do enjoy your reactions alot but you seem to miss things when you continuously question everything during dialogue scenes. Also, yes the Native chief wasn't willingly showing Dick that pillar where she was buried. That doesn't help keep Pennywise trapped at all. Dick knew and mentioned that the dead ALWAYS wander back to where they died, so he took advantage.

Chanty Doodles

Pennywise was locked away in a star & sent to earth by Maturin another god type entity i believe. Who looks like a turtle 🐢 Maturin is ITs brother I believe and the exact opposite of Pennywise, its all about love etc and helped the kids in the movies to defeat Pennywise. Also guys I believe the pillars don't just keep IT trapped, it also weakens it and is the reason it has to take hibernation cycles. So IT may be able to stay awake for as long as it likes.

I don't think your ratings of this show was too crazy. Maybe deserves an A, but it's far from the most amazing show ever. I think being a Stephen King fan is what makes it so good for people because it does tie in really well. The fact that none of you really remember the movie means that there's been plenty of stuff you haven't picked up on also. Especially in the last episode there's a lot of ties to the movie and it's super fun

alex anderson

I can’t believe how the real pennywise gets caught man. It comes in and is like “I can’t find my parents”, so how tf do you know that your mother is screaming in the forest if you don’t know where they are? I woulda been like “yeah this kid is either stupid or a liar”. But bob gray has a heart so he tried to help him anyway

Jack

Rich did not have to die man 😭

Jack

I was thinking it weakened him too, given the feeding cycles and hibernation

Jack

I know it wasn’t actually her dad, but pennywise taking advantage of her love for her dad. I just knew from her perspective she thought her dad was still in there and that “the shadow” or pennywise was also there and she hated that side of him. Obviously pennywise was just tricking her

Chanty Doodles

Oh right ok, think it was just the way you said it then lol I got confused & thought you actually believed part of him (Bob Gray, Ingrids father) was still inside IT. Whereas Ingrid truly thought this was just her dad, who was "changed by whatever he had been through" like she said. It's tragic how warped & desperate her love for her father had become.

Sage

Bill skarsgard hitting that “ I’m pennywise your dancing daddy” is one of my favorite horror lines ever. It’s a perfect depiction of the character, so jovial, kinda funny, but also the most eerie and frightening thing that creature could possibly say to you before you see the dead lights

Sage

Im not a Stephen king fan and never read his books but I love horror and IT chapter 1 . I think other than some of the acting in spots this show is one of the best horror shows in a while

Sage

That’s not even a serious conversation anyway lol

Sage

LOL at all the African Americans constantly referencing swinging from the trees as if lynchings were an everyday occurrence in Maine

SuperChuckABoo

Yah, I think so too. I'm not mad at their rating of the show. I think it makes sense since they don't remember the movie or enjoyed it. Definitely makes it cooler when you know who Halloran is, who the chief of police Bowers is in relation to the future, Hanlon etc.

SuperChuckABoo

lol weird comment. I think it's less to do with where they are and what time period they're in

Nyx

Lol Marge would've died too

No Tap

But as every character says in the show, “this ain’t the south”. Almost like the writers are incentivized by how much they like to bring up lynchings.

LK

Rich 😭 I cried

Anton Sakshaug (Jancked)

"Like i hate watching kids die" well i fucking hope you do McKay🤣🤣🤣 would be quite conserning otherwise💀

Ayoodude

Jacks come to papa impression was decent

Jack

Final episode will be out tomorrow!

Sage

This is the dumbest comment I’ve read on social media all month, which is a strong feat

caitlin_ m1331

trust it is redeemed and the payoff is so beautiful the finale is SO GOOD 🥹🥹

No Tap

There is one lynching in all of Maine’s history. Try that for data.

Frizen

There is only 1 "recorded" lynching, keyword being recorded. To think more didn't happen is completely disingenuous. We literally just had the government try to justify the killing of a white woman and call her a domestic terrorist when there is multiple angles of footage and witnesses showcasing lack of any wrong doing. You really think they didn't cover up or not report the murders of black people in the 1962? Mind you this was also before the civil rights act so discrimination and segregation was literally still legal. Your data still showcases that a lynching happened there and was a real threat. Also you are completely ignoring the understood experience of black people during that time. Everywhere was still filled with racists, being in a less racist place doesn't suddenly get rid of a threat that was constantly happening around the country. Yeah they're still scared of it happening because IT STILL COULD happen. So I don't understand how there only being 1 recorded case matters in a fictional story in a fictional city.

My baby Rich🥺💔

All I saw in Minnesota was someone trying to interfere with federal law enforcement slamming the gas while a patriotic officer was right in front of her car. If the decision is protect law enforcement or protect a perpetrator of violence then it really is no decision at all. Good shoot. There’s no serious incentive for civil-rights organizations like the NAACP to underreport lynching's. If anything, their mission and strategic interests would push them to document as many verified cases of racial terror as possible. Historically, lynching tallies were often methodologically conservative, relying on evidence like contemporary newspaper reports, court records, and official documentation. If the facts behind a killing couldn’t clearly establish mob action, racial motive, or the defining features of a lynching, it frequently wouldn’t be counted—even when communities strongly suspected it. That’s why the strongest indicator here is cross-source convergence: when independent historians, state-level historical records, academic databases, and civil-rights groups all arrive at the same conclusion, it’s hard to argue the number is being artificially suppressed. In Maine’s case, the broad agreement that the state has had only one racially motivated lynching is best explained by historical conditions; Maine did not have the same demographic scale, post-Reconstruction social order, or entrenched system of lynching as racial control that existed in large parts of the South. This doesn’t mean Maine lacked racism, but it does mean that lynching was not historically a widespread instrument of racial terror there. So if everyone, including groups most ideologically aligned with documenting racial terror still identifies just one case, that outcome overwhelmingly points to historical reality, not a lack of will to report more.

McKay Carter

Yeah but he did say he wants it to run rampant and instill fear. It doesn’t sound like they have any plans to control it which is just so dumb to me any way you look at it

McKay Carter

Yeah I watched the movie so long ago and I wish I remembered more details, definitely wish we would’ve watched it before the show!

Gigi

We're watching a show about a murderous alien clown and you're worried about how accurate the lynching statistics are.

No Tap

Because they reference lynching's in almost every episode

SuperChuckABoo

Bro, why does it concern you if they mention lynching? They should mention it and mention it more. It's just weird energy.

No Tap

but why? as stated above there has been only one lynching in all of Maine's history. They act like it is an every day thing.
